I have been busy since 2.07 and haven't listed in awhile. I am going to list all bugs and you have to tell me what was removed. I will do some testing but things like Museum card descriptions or the fact items don't stack correctly are likely never going to be fixed. So here is the revamped list from 2.07. Please pick it apart tell me whats new, whats fixed, what honorable mentions you have encountered to upgrade etc. Blue is confirmed bugs. Red are new to 2.08

Major Issues

1.This bug has recently switched places in a way. Lately a black screen with a GT5 logo when you start the game start a race/seasonal or enter a lobby will appear. In the past it would eventually clear but not anymore and a game would need to be reset. Prior it would be in the form of a slow loading bar before a hang up when you enter a online trial/single race/seasonal race/2P battle or joining a lounge. If it was a race the ai lineup would be very shakey as it rolled across the screen. Quitting the game required. Much like the slow loading bar in races/joining lounge the SSR X Speed test will fail to load after a few runs forcing you to quit the game. Many people say these issues can simply not be fixed but that is no excuse. Also there is a similar bug when you leave a track the game takes away all options and you watch the AI constantly drive around the track but the game never goes back to the menu.

2.Horns/gear/paint/museum cards do not stack properly. For example I own two separate Horn 160's instead of one with a quantity of two.

3. Top Gear Test Track has a massive shortcut where drivers take a left and come across the line backwards instead of taking a right to complete the whole track.

4. Online qualifying broken. Cars sometimes not in proper order on grid. Also leaving track even without changing settings or car will reset your time.

5.Penalty system broken and lets the dirty driver penalize the clean driver if done right. It is also not right if a driver slightly overdrives a corner but completely stays on track but ghosts anyway and a driver passes them by going though them when they may have never gotten around in a real race.

Likely Lag Based Bugs/IssuesThese are bugs likely all due to lag but this does not mean a fix couldn't happen so definitely worth listing.

1. Game/player will sometimes lag and make the second place car the winner in terms of money/xp and will say they won when clearly behind.
2. People can't hear/see everybody in the lounge/private lounge including friends, but not always both. Seems to happen a lot more lately.
3. Online races "major lap time bug" has gotten better but still exists. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=237539
4. Black screen issues when the race starts. It can vary on length of time, but very common to start normal with a countdown as soon as one person leaves the room. There are times where the race will start without countdown/shortened but everyone starts at the same time. Other possibilities include when not every driver comes out of the black screen at the same time and people are able to get head-starts on other drivers.
5. Lag-like issues for people with very good internet connections. The biggest issue is a random lobby disconnect while driving. It takes a very long time to get back to the open lobby screen and you usually get a psn error disconnecting you, but you can sign right back in and resume without quitting the game. Sometimes the whole room will crash with you, sometimes its just you. Other issues include poor mic quality, very very slow garage loading (and possible rare freeze), random disconnects before even entering the room, slow to enter the track, car glitchy to others on track, and slow tuning navigation. Also some people with very good connections in the room lag more when people with poor connections enter. Having a large garage (1000 cars) seems to make lag much worse as well. Obviously if you have a bad connection you can experience these problems too.
6.Tire screech sometimes goes away in online lounge. Believed to be lag.
7.People in lounge sometimes don't have the yellow circle next to their coffee cup. When they do at times you may get "you can't join messages" or even a rare "blocked form room" when you were not kicked.
8.Lounge leader can sometimes start a race in the pits and be left off the grid. (Heard recent reports. No one I race with though)
9.Comment box where its says people join/leave your room will appear while your on track but empty of text so you have no idea who left/joined/typed message.
10.Time intervals of 99.99.99.999 when you cross a sector. This odd time also seems to pop up on race results where the last car to cross the line keeps getting it until the post race timer ends or the last driver is stuck with it.
11. Split times not popping at certain sectors but usually not every lap.
12. Standings on right side of screen not showing running order correctly.
13. Very very slow exit of a lounge even a freeze at times.

Minor Issues/Needed Minor Tweaks

Online
1.Sometimes track options are unavailable to room leader until a reset best done by switching damage on and off then back. Occasionally the tracks options only are greyed out as a host but still changeable and greyed out as a racer but still readable
2.When you are watching people race online, or watching an online replay from your library, no one's speedometers other than your own will read above 357mph
3.In online lounge, when you select "No Active Steering" or "Driving line", in the chat window, it will say "Active Steering/Driving line allowed" even though it's disabled. Toggling the option still bring the wrong message.
4. Sometimes on Nurburgring (Time Change and Weather) and rarely at other tracks you go to pause and exit to return to the pits. Except, it doesn't put you in the pits and the pause menu disappears. It can be unpaused and be able to continue driving, except instruments are gone too. This means the speedometer, gear number, tire wear bars and gas bar are gone. When you go to pause again, the pause menu is still gone and finding the exit button is a difficult and still doesn't work along with the other pause menu buttons. Must quit game. In a similar bug when on the track, the controls are visible but drive and start race are greyed out. The red exit man is there but has no effect and you must quit the game.

Tracks

1.SSR X Issues: Minor graphic issues like lights in the tunnel on SSR X on the second straight go away after you exit the tunnel. Cars are also sinking into the road in the rear view mirror. You may also see weird things during races/replays like cars flying, dropping at start, parts of track disappearing, cars barrel rolling etc.
2.Kart Space I: The number of corners is wrong. The track has 9 corners but the game counts 8.
3.Course maker: Sometimes -5 or -4 corner sharpness makes it actually as sharp as +5
4,Also a rare course maker bug, the last and first corners can be oddly wide and possible to get sucked in and stuck in the edge of them.
5.On the Eiger tracks, when driving in first person view, the mountain scenery in the rear view mirror is not there. Bug has been fixed and come back in the past.

Misc. bugs
1.You can't use your custom tracks in 2 player battle made after Spec 2.0 (October 2011 roughly)
2.Electric cars battery drains with unlimited tire/fuel selected.
3.Replay fast forward/rewind functions do not work in replays that were recorded in 2 player mode.
4.When batteries are empty in electric car you can still go faster than 50kmh limit by gently operating with gas pedal.
5. Nordschliefe time change icon in practice shows GP course when not used for this configuration.
6. Sometimes the sound does not work proper on starting game. It goes in and out. Unplugging and reinserting the HDMI seems to work.
7.When using a supported wheel (DFGT, G25/7 have been reported) and using some cars in dirt rally races, the wheel will lose the 900 degrees of rotation. Instead of 2.5 turns lock to lock it gets cut down to 1.5 turns, making the steering ratio much quicker. So far I have found it to be like this on every dirt track, but only some of the snow tracks. It also doesn't happen to every car.
8.License S-7 still has a huge short cut on the Top Gear Test Track that would get someone disqualified on other special events.
9. Personal BGM issues where doesn't play songs, repeats same song, menu music plays while on track, etc.
10.The GT5 log shows every gifted suit/helmet as correct name followed by the -01 in your log instead of the gears actual number.
11.The GT5 log shows every gifted paint as wrong chip name followed by correct paint name in your log.
12. Not all races/seasonal races/license test/special event medals/wins show up on log. You could see gold achieved on License test 1 2 4 5 for example, although you got the gold on 3 too.
13.Usually PP value in garage (list view) does not update how it should due to a tire miscalculation until the car is used for the first time.
14.The Car Restoration Coupon description says it Removes Tuning Parts in the first screen and than in the confirmation screen it says All tuning parts, wheels etc. will be kept.
15.Wheels description in GT Auto and online manual still states that you can't change wheels for standards. Manual also says changing suits is not possible.
16. On the back of the Official Gran Turismo Helmet a office/desk can be seen. I highly doubt its there on purpose. Zoom in in a photo mode to see it.
17.Hitting START button in acceleration capabilities test places car in tunnel next to pits and test lasts only few meters until fi.nish line is crossed.
18. Certain cars when racing a tuning prohibited race when detuned to stock exactly, still will not work.
19.When car is going on highest revs and hit from behind rev counter goes off scale
20.Photo-mode. Bloom and flare effect does not reset when you turn filters off. So after turning on then off cold or mono filters you have no bloom, but after warm it's there but even heavier than in normal mode. Flare is gone always after filter change because filters don't use it and you can turn it on only by leaving camera mode (when filters are off).
21. Sometimes switched cars does not add up on certain cars making possible to have miles/wins with no switches. For me it was the Denso Sard SC430. Also cars wins and miles don't add up a lot especially if you did a whole seasonal series with one car for example.
22. Time change at custom tracks is off. Tracks with no time change are changing time and tracks with are not until reloading it.

Cars specifications and descriptions
1.Tornado Made a large list of cars with wrong specifications.
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=193920 Go here for your incorrect weight, transmission, drivetrain, localization, and power issues compared to real life..
2.VW 1200 '66 still has wrong weight in dealership, despite correct weight in garage.
3.In the Special Event/Grand Tour/Eiger Nordwand it states that the Alfa 8C is a FWD car. Only in some countries. I believe Germany is one.
4.Mitsubishi Lancer EX 1800GSR IC Turbo - description in English version says that it's AWD car, which is not correct, as it is FR car.
5.Daihatsu MIRA TR-XX Avanzato R '97 looses power and pp after installing stage III engine upgrade
6.VW Museum card 47 has a picture of a Polo but describes a Golf.http://imgur.com/mpHgw

10.Description of Corvette C1 is description of Chevy Silverado (US version). http://imgur.com/oGxAs
11.Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX GSR RM '05 has too many spaces between IX and GSR in name. Could be US only.
12.Audi Abt Audi TT-R Touring Car, 04 Pontiac GTO, and 04 Mercedes SL 65 AMG all have broken taillights.
13.The Lexus IS-F Racing Concept taillights don't turn brighter when braking while driving on night courses.
14.The description of the 2002 Mini Cooper S lists the S model as having "113 HP and 109.9 ft-lb of torque" while it should read 160 HP and 161.3 ft-lb based on the in-game stats
15.Mirrors on some standards don't work. One is the Vauxhall Tigra 1.6 interior mirror. The mirror itself is there, but it has no reflection material.Mirrors sketchy anyway, there's a lot of glitching. Especially obvious in replays.
16. Reverse lights don't work correctly on Golf VI and Mini Countryman (premium). Its a bug as most standards are the ones with no reverse lights.
17.If you install a fully customizable transmission on the Volvo C30 R-Design, when you change into sixth gear in interior mode it will show a "D" in the gear indicator instead of a "6". Could be US only.
18. Murcielago and chrome line Murcielago call the the car 460 instead of 640 in the description at one point. Could be US only.
19. Both LMP Audi R8 race cars and I assume all other open LMPS wheels can be seen going through the body when turning left/right.
20. Gas man is levitating gas can a foot above spoiler after tires done changing in X2010/X2011
21. In the 1970 Challenger/Challenger RM description, the Camaro referenced is spelled Camero. May be US Version only.
22. Badges on the 71 Europa are exclusive to 73 therefore a 73.
23.Toyota 86 GT '12 - analog speedometer doesn't have limiter and goes beyond scale all the way back to 0.
24.Nissan Skyline GT-R R32 TC - the Standard Center Differential is incorrect, showing 150/-50
25.Toyota MR2 GT-S '97 - LSD acceleration value (80) of stock LSD is higher than highest setting of custom LSD (60). Bug is present in some other cars, but for now only this one is confirmed
26. Atenza/Mazda 6 Touring cars description call the car a FR when 4WD in game
27. Shelby Series One uses NA specs when calls it the supercharged model.
28.Dodge Viper ACR - speedometer is counting miles as kilometers and maxes out at 220 km/h.
29. Alfa 8C Speedometer not correct.
30. Chrysler not capitalized like all other manufacturers in certain menus
31.When using the power limiter on the Peugeot 207 the performance decreases several bhps An adjustment from 100.0% - 99.9 % causes a decrease in performance from 182 bhp - 175 bhp or 397 pp. - 392 pp.

Honorable Mentions
This is split into two sections. First is for misc. weird Stuff/possible bugs or just very annoying and needs a tweak. The second area is one off bugs I can't replicate and only one person has reported so far so at least one more report is needed before it makes the "official" list,

Weird Stuff/Tweaks
1. Confirmed seasonal glitch so not permanent....Stars and Stripes seasonal title once at track is wrong with random &amp in it. Also why do they list 5 laps twice in a row?
2. Unlikely to be fixed due to known complications but skid marks/damage on track/car before it happens when rewinding replays.
3. Invisible walls at Top Gear are only a problem if your cutting/out of control, but should be removed or backed up so people in penalty based rooms that spin or lose it don't hit them.
4. More of a tweak on this one but worth a mention-Race End BGM special-tunes does not play when Race BGM is set to OFF in music-options
5. When car is changed, change count updates after race/GT auto visit, not immediately
6. In GT Auto during paint animation electric cars have generic petrol engine sound. (Not sure on this one as all cars have the generic sound anyway)
7. With no added weight ballast affects the car. No one sure if done on purpose.
8.Rubber left on road on static weather and time tracks does not receive shadows in tunnels, so it shines too much.
9. B-Spec Monaco drivers hit the barriers too much and a slight change in path may be needed.
10. Gion, Kyoto Photo Travel location there is strange loud sound in background, something like construction site. It is there but not known if intentional or not but rather annoying
11. Yet to see it on permanent trials but the Nurburgring time trial does not display intervals correctly when you finish the lap.
12. Having a highly tuned car makes all white Citroen Concepts the only competitor when you choose single race option.
13. Obviously a very hard fix but its weird watching the pit crew put tires through the fenders on cars like the R89C, 2J, XJR-9, 2CV, Etc. A forced interior view pit stop may be the only real "fix" for these cars. Another pit stops issue is some tracks have no crew, although intentional a bit of an eye sore.
14. Ghost car seems to lag a little before it runs correctly.
15. Weird sun spot glare at Nordschleife when track is very clear.
16. Bug where headlights disappear in rear view at Nordschleife but when you look back they are there.
17. Clock on premium Camaro an hour off.
18. The M5's wheels having too much wheelbase compared with the body causing them to stick into the respective front and rear bumpers. (Standard version does not have the problem.)
19. Both front and rear wheels of the '08 Civic Type-R being too far back, especially the rears.
20.The S15 Silvia having insufficient track width causing the left and right wheels to be too close together and look oddly narrow. Compare it with the standard version where the wheels are almost flush with the wheel archs.
21. 2D-ish dashes to Ferrari 330 and 70 Challenger
22.The Dodge Viper GTS '02 Full Beam shoots straight up towards the sky instead of onto the road.
23. Eclipse Spyder GTS '03 is glitched when re-painting it any color, the color becomes way darker than it actually is then. For example, using a white chip results in a gray body.
24.Cars where rear wheels are misused for front:E46 M3 (standard) C63 AMG Gallardo LP560-4 GTR Spec-V (R35)
25.Cars where front wheels are misused for rear:XK 4.2 XKR 8C 370Z
69 Camaro Z/28 description- the hood has the 302ci. badge which is correct while the description reads '320ci.'
30.Challenger, the 426 Hemi badge is only on the drivers side of the hood. Now, I'm not an expert, but all the '70 Challenger R/T 426 Hemis I've seen have the badge on both sides.

One-offs
1. Sometimes in practice after going to "My Courses" other track tabs can't be accessed.
2. Watch race tab got skipped when others where at practice but all other tabs worked and race was joinable.
3.Cars at Eiger will sink into track after jump on replays.
4.Nurburgring 24 hour track is slow to load up and disappears sometimes. While driving final sector before the long straight the track had disappeared. I could drive, but there was no road texture showing. (This one seems like it should be elevated anyone had this issue?)
5. In photo mode when using triangle to access the menu, the options on the bottom reset to default.
6.Mute player option not working.
7.Tires not warming up through online race.
8.When adding a MID RPM turbo kit to a car, the graph in settings does not update.
9.Countdown music on repeat after race starts.
10.Take photo option greyed out and not working until restart replay.
11.When you load the track you want to play in time trials, the leaderboards come up etc. the camera used to give you different views of the track/words all disappear.
12. Abnormally fast laps when practicing in a lounge. Laps a second or more faster when it seems they shouldn't be (running consistent laps etc.)
13. After using a backup save unclaimed gifts can not be obtained and are stuck in your inbox.
14. Toscana tracks dark for some people when not dark for others and it should not be.
15.Matmut Peugeot X-ray mirror! 15 lap Sarthe race in cockpit view. Whenever a car behind appeared in the cockpit rearview mirror, the outer shell would disappear, showing the driver, steering wheel and car interior
16.Ford GT '02 may not have drivetrain coded correct. Didn't show up in FR/MR only lounge.
17.Starting Race jingle repeats over and over for a whole online race.
18. Pits at Route X don't always work still and cars can get stuck.

Notes: 1. It is known that some cars when reducing power will go up in PP (Toyota 7, Special, V8 Vantage, Vertigo, Speed 12 and more). This is not thought of as a bug because the car is believed not to be able to handle all the power.

2.It is also known some speedometers go "off the clock". Most of these are believed to be correct as they do this in real life.

3.Finally I Haven't seen it in a while but if you have please post-At Nurburgring Nordschleife: A colorful line sometimes appears starting from the middle of Caracciola Karussell ("The Carousel") and ends about 200m later.

I don't know if others have had this issue, but after buying a car from the premium dealership, the music will repeat over and over. It happens more often than not for me. And I should note that I have the menu music turned off, so maybe that could be part of the problem.

Also you mentioned getting stuck on the GT logo screen online, which has happened to me before. However, I've also had this happen after hitting the 'x' button to go back to the main menu while the demo is running (not the GT Life screen, but the main screen before that). It's happened to me a couple of times, and I've had to restart the game.

I get this happen, but with the countdown music for race starts online. It used to happen once in a while but has become slightly more frequent. I run no music whilst driving but have my own playing for menus. (Although this also rarely works properly either. It will completely shut itself off if I go into any part of the main screens where there is mandated music, GTAuto etc, and return to normal menus)

EDIT: Just noticed it in the One-Offs section #9 / #17. Certainly not a one-off occurance for me.

Same for me. I can get rid of the music by selecting one of the other screens with music and going back. I never had this problem until recently. And like I said, it happens more often than not now.

I'm not good at gameplay bugs but I'll list something anyway:

The (premium) C3 Stingray's speedometer had the same problem as the ACR before 2.08, reading the wrong speed unit.

I haven't checked it with 2.08 but I've a feeling it's not fixed based on other still-existing bugs.

More weird stuff/tweaks:

-Under weird stuff no. 24, add the Mitsubishi i-MiEV. But it's frankly more about lazy 3D modeling (or LOD technique as same wheels are used?) than a real 'buggy' bug.

-The Gallardo and MP4-12C's rear spoiler do not tilt at speed like they should. (The latter's air-brake function works though. Same problems as Shift 2.)

-R8 V10 (premo road car) STILL has the wrong headlights from the V8.

-A fair number of premiums don't have working clocks, odometers, oil pressure or turbo boost gauges. Generally, the Prologue-era cars suffer only the first 2 issues.
(These 'bug' me as a few premiums have everything working. It's all about consistency.)

The black screen with GT5 logo in the bottom right has been there for me in numerous versions prior to 2.08 so if they actually are that bad that other people starting to see it I'll have even MORE of those...

The new nissan gtr r35 ( the dlc one ) show that it produce 562hp in the dealership when you buy it however it shows you 545 hp.

Stupid question, but I have to ask. Did you do an oil change yet? I've always wondered why a brand new car would pick up hp after an oil change when the oil should already be fresh anyway. :odd:

It's because the oil you buy is better than the oil which comes with new cars.

A lot of cars, especially mass produced cars can be a few months old before you take delivery.
Search google and you will find pics of of certain models in there hundreds, even thousands stock piled in fields.
Although obviously not GT-R's ad im sure there are waiting lists.

I think the "steering lock" bug isn't a bug at all. It's the wheel adapting to the vehicle being driven. If you drive a rally car, it will now be 540 degrees of rotation instead of the full 900 because rally cars have 540 degree rotation in real life. But I think PD should have applied this to formula cars also, since formula cars rarely have over 360 degrees of rotation lock-to-lock.

To put it simply, those guys at GT Auto know where to get the right stuff. End of story!

GT Auto uses the same as he does for his hair.

25.Toyota MR2 GT-S '97 - LSD acceleration value (80) of stock LSD is higher than highest setting of custom LSD (60). Bug is present in some other cars, but for now only this one is confirmed
Not really a bug. The fully customizable custom LSD can't recreate all possible LSD configurations such as 1-way LSDs (0 on braking value) or with brake/accel values greater than 60.

31.When using the power limiter on the Peugeot 207 the performance decreases several bhps An adjustment from 100.0% - 99.9 % causes a decrease in performance from 182 bhp - 175 bhp or 397 pp. - 392 pp.
The problem here is that the power chart states the wrong power, you can see that the corresponding line is higher than the actual power curve. Setting 99.9% makes power drop to the real value (and PP to what they are supposed to be; by racing with a 100% power limiter you're essentially handicapping yourself). The car is supposed to have 175 hp. Other cars when tuned can show glitches on the power/torque chart as well, although I can't point which ones exactly at the moment.

That black screen thing is extremely annoying. It happened to me 3 times in half an hour. PD needs to fix this asap, its unacceptable when the game becomes unplayable.

Its the only bug I have encountered as of now, from those listed.

Fov of the F2007 is too small in cockpit, and the F10 is too small in Hood/TV Pod view.

I'm not sure if these are newly recurring in 2.08, since I haven't played GT5 very much since around May or so

Well a usual bug came up today, hit the drive button and my car came out of the pits :)
And I stayed with a black screen for about 10 seconds not knowing where the heck I was going until the precious light came through and I saw everything

That's been happening to me for several updates now. :dunce:

Happening in online lobbies, right?
Also, the more severe bug that sometimes happens when an online race starts: the screen goes black for several minutes, then when the race finally starts some people starts several seconds ahead of other. One or two players may not even start at all and their cars stays still on the grid and when you come around by the end of the first lap and hit them (by accident because you don't count on there being stationary cars on the start/finish straight) they are supersolid objects, like black holes or that stuff that the plastic ribbons in the dirt tracks are made of. It's like hitting a mountain, they don't move an inch while your car explodes in a mayhem of...
Okay, I think you get the point.

On the bright side I'm usually the one that gets on first so I get a head start. Winning

So if it's usual, why'd you post it in this thread, a thread specifically for bugs caused by this update...

Noticed an annoying new bug on Friday..

If you buy new wheels for your car in GTAuto and then change the Setting in the Tuning menu in your garage your new wheels will disappear and be replaced by the originals. If you then return to GTAuto, it will offer you the option to revert to your original wheels (which are already shown on the car). If you buy new wheels again then change the Setting back to what it was to begin with, your first set of new wheels will reappear. You can now change back and forth between Settings (say A to C, etc.) and your 2 sets of aftermarket wheels will toggle. Sounds pretty good, in a way..

Here's the annoying part: if you copy a Setting from one slot to another (say B to A now) you will lose the aftermarket wheels you had in the old Setting.

I have only tested this on Standard cars and not Premiums (got tired of wasting money on new wheels after they disappeared) and I haven't exhaustively tested all permutations so please feel free to verify.

I believe this bug is probably related to the 'fix' : "Corrected an issue where when switching from a setting sheet with dirt/snow tires to a sheet with normal tires, the dirt/snow tires remain displayed".

Hope PD are aware of this...
