Now every scrub has a chrome Veyron online!

This kind of thing ruined GTA 5 online, you guys are so lazy.

The biggest problem with scrubs online is them using racing soft tires 100% of the time.

I tried racing the day of release and I already was finding lobbies of people that spent their hard earned credits on racing soft tires, for a car, that doesn't even remotely need it (LCC Rocket)

I don't get how these people think that racing soft is the default tire we're supposed to use. The career mode never lets you use them. It's Comfort Soft, Sports Hard, Sports Soft, or Racing Hard.

You'd think with the career mode finally forcing them to use normal tires people would realize it's not necessary to use racing soft on pretty much anything, let alone everything. I don't get it. It's noobish, and the physics are more enjoyable on the lower grip tires.

Or to introduce the BMW M4, or to do any number of other things.
The BMW M4 was already found in the game prior to the live update, unless my game is just behind, since this is the 3rd patch i've had to download while others had reported downloading 3 prior.

I'd test myself to see if it was possibly fixed (since a large patch isn't required and fixing this could be fairly easy), but I don't want to redownload the patch again. It would be nice if we got notes on every update.

I'm not usually one to take advantage of these types of glitches but the low payouts in GT6 are really aggravating. I haven't had a whole lot of time away from work to play lately so I haven't progressed all that far in the game. I'm at 11% completion and have $157k credits. I haven't had to spend any credits yet because I have all of the 15th Anniversary cars. Why would PD put over 1,000 cars in the game and then make it so difficult to actually buy any of them? In GT5 I had credits coming out my ears. With Seasonal Event winnings, I had to buy up every car possible so my earnings weren't just evaporating with the 20m credit limit. Now, I'm looking at the NSX Concept model at 1m credits and thinking how the hell am I ever even going to buy that, much less any of the higher end cars?

I got GT6 because I wanted to drive some new cars and tracks, but with the economy the way it is these days in GT6 I had about as much chance of buying a new Ferrari in the game as I do in real life.

I'm taking full advantage of this glitch.

I put my time in on GT5 (39,000 miles logged w/out rubber-banding) and feel like I shouldn't have to grind for hours on end to buy one virtual car.

I have yet to get the game yet, but when I do (probably christmas) will this still work if I never update my game to the latest patch, assuming its patched by then?

It wasn't like that from the beginning. In GT5 there was also grinding for money. First there was oval grinding method with x2010, then online grinding on SSR7 with glitching, then Seasonal Events came, they were giving quite a lot of money, but only once a week (or two maybe?) at the beginning. Later when payouts in Seasonal Events became adjustable with PP difference, then the payouts got really big. But it was like 2 years after game release?

Still grinding away myself. I refuse to take advantage of any glitches at this point. Not saying that I won't in the future, but just having fun progressing through the game for right now. I have more time on my hands than the average player though, so I can understand other's frustration with the credit payouts, ect.

It should work no matter what now. If PD was to bring out an update that would save your game save data in a completely new way, then your game wouldn't work with an unpatched GT6.

I understand it wasn't like that in the beginning, but it also wasn't THIS bad. It's obvious that PD and Sony are trying to make people pay real money for in-game credits to purchase cars. Sorry, I refuse to be nickle and dimed by a game that I already spent $60 to purchase.

I made an assumption that gamedata wasn't "special" however I didn't try it as it hadn't crossed my mind til the 3rd time round... but can you not just hit triangle and copy the file like everything else on the XMB?

No, it won't let you hit triangle and copy the file. I found a digital copy of the 1.01 update online, even with that, how do you install the update?

Even if they patch this out, whats preventing someone that never updated from 1.0 straight off the disc of doing this multiple times and then deciding to finally update to 1.02 or whatever after they got all the cars they wanted? I'm sure there are ways but I don't see how they could do this without affecting people that got cars legitimately without doing the update. Should be interesting to see how it all plays out.

They can just pull 1.01 from the servers and force you to update to 1.02 directly.

I need to be let in on this secret, lol 8 hours a day then get home, wife, dogs, dinner, toilet's busted. After all that I get to run maybe 30 min before I go to be to get up at 5 and do it all over again...

Edit: sorry, back to topic

So the 1.01 update is needed for this glitch to initially work? Not possible for those who have never updated in the first place?

I had to start over since PD fumble with updates and made my cars disappear. So now I'm at the beginning again..... But I play 99% online, the other 1% is to get money and build cars. So fdb. Thanks thread maker<3

Not sure that would work as it seems the glitch is with the 1.00 version.

Yes as it's the only way to get the Vision cars.

On non-hacked PS3 you can install updates only from official Sony's servers. So, if update will be pulled then glitch is gone. Well, unless you have 2 PS3 where one will keep v1.01 update, or something like PSN version + BD version. Or as ultimate solution jailbroken PS3. Anyway, it's not a general case already.

I hope they do something for the people who didn't use the glitch (if that's even possible). The game economy makes it very tempting to use.

I'm going to try it tonight. All I want now is to try a few of the new cars and I'm done with GT6 until they update some new content.

There is no satisfaction for me in completing the career mode, there is no challenge. The unrealistic rubberband effect coupled with the chase the rabbit format for every race has ruined the game for me. The cool night time tracks are ruined by the fact that headlights are pointed at the sky. The realistic physics are ruinded by the fact I can't create the racing I want without going online. The massive amounts of cars to play with and check out are ruined by poor menu design, navigation and low payouts.

Wow, only took 5 days for me to loose total interest.

So, you want to be disabled like I am? I'll gladly trade you my life, or lack of, for yours. :grumpy: Be careful what you wish for there friend, its not all cocktails and dreams just because I have more time than most. Just playing the cards dealt to me.

In 2 minds about doing this.

On one hand it would be nice to have all the cars I wanted now and all the money in the world to tune them. Plus micro-transactions are the s*** stain on modern gaming.

But on the other hand this is the only racing game I'll have for literally years until GT7, and I do want to have something to aim for in the long term.

:confused::confused::confused:

Create a second account on your PS3.
Have one where you progress through the gamenwithout using the glitch
And one where you have the cars you've already paid for when you bought the game in the first place

Is it possible that this glitch was left in the game as a kind of "backdoor" by a PD worker, disgruntled at Sony's (possible) request to add microtransactions to Gran Turismo 6?

It just seems like a really horrendous oversight otherwise.

There was no way I could've possibly known that. I was strictly talking work hours. I'm sorry about your ordeal.

You don't need two PS3s. I think you can get away with just two hard drives/SSDs.
