20 million credits for free!

The cap is still 50 million in 1.02, you can only have 20 million in 1.00 as a max. When I went from 1.00 to 1.02 the 20 million I had was still there and then I sold 5 "bank" cars to get back to the 50 million limit......

Ah, gotcha, thanks for the clarification.

Iquote="e-racer, post: 9097892, member: 177858"]Really? I think all the people that preordered it got pretty freaking lucky by being able to glitch, and build up hundreds of millions of credits in a just few hours. Anybody that waited to buy it now just has to live with whatever is there.

I'd say the preorder worked out darn good! :)

**Although if it was available for rent you could have done this too.[/quote]Im meaning to rent the game to play but still preordering to have rewards for doing so . If this v1.02 was how game was out day 1 i wouldn't have had a problem

Basically, v1.02 is what v1.01 should have been in terms of the direction purchased vehicles can/should be taken. I do not believe this resolves the issue of vehicles that you have already purchased and are already in your garage though, as it should not anyway. There is no way PD/Sony would be able to recognize how vehicles were purchased. There is no way for them to discern whether the vehicles you have in your garage were purchased via glitch, grinding or store purchased credits. And thus, if you have a stockpile of vehicles in a v1.00 save game, you are free to update to v1.02 and sell them there. This worries me though. Be very wary about continually selling these vehicles for exorbitant amounts of money as PD/Sony may be able to track your spending habits via credits purchased in store versus credits earned versus credits used for purchases, etc.
Someone missed his morning Xanax.
In the age of 'big data' you can be sure that Sony/PD logs your every click. If they wanted to, they'd be able to find everybody who glitched. They will *never* do that, so sleep safe.

Sooooo... This just happened:

Went from 1.01 to 1.0. Finished a my selling. Backed up my save. Went to 1.02. The car I was driving is still selected, the $20M I had is still there, but my garage is EMPTY! I reloaded my backed up save. Same thing. I loaded an older save. Same thing...

Anyone else having this same issue?

When I did it, I never loaded anything to my flashdrive until I had completely finished in 1.02.....don't forget to reload all images......Sorry that you lost all your cars but mine were all still there.....

Will go check my garage and update shortly.....

Update..just checked both of my garages on my old "phatty" and all is well.....wish I could tell you how to solve your dilemna.....

Unfortunately I can't even get into the garage, it says there are no cars (see screenshot above).

I had over 90% complete. Since some stats are there and some not, it shows this is INTENTIONAL, not a corrupted save.

EDIT: I redownloaded anniversary cars... Won't show up. Then I bought one cheap car so I could get into garage. It replaced the zonda I was driving with the cheap car I just bought. Shows all cars were put in stock yard, but when you go into stockyards, it deletes them all.

I only bought most of the race cars and my garage was at between 160 - 220 in each of the 2 garages.....did you not read somewhere here on the forum that the stockyard is glitchy and many people lost cars that they had put in the stockyard.....

.....Don't know how to fix this for you......until they fix the stockyard issue(glitchy and people have reported losing cars from it ), I will not be using it

@leroy3rd - Try deleting the 1.02 patch, & then see if your cars are there in version 1.00. If they are, then try downloading the 1.02 patch again & see what happens.

I think this could be a solution to your problem and I would not backup my data until you return to 1.02......

I'm on it. :-)

Make sure you use data that hasn't been re-saved under 1.02. Also, just download the 1.02 patch, not the mini update as well, as that crashed my PS3. I hope it turns out just to be an update glitch for you, & that you get your cars back. :)

My old "phatty" froze up after the mini update as well, but it's doing well now .....

the way I see it you did a v1.00 backup at a v1.02. patch
With a disk version of the game and a v1.00 savegame you'll be good.

I was on 1.0. Did a backup before upgrading. Also tried an older 1.01 backup. Same thing.

I've now gone back to 1.0 and am having same issue. Perplexed, I loaded a backup from last week, and it worked, upgrading to 1.02 now... If this works, it seems to point to the possibility that TWO of my saved games were corrupted... I'll lose a week's worth of playing, but at least I'll still have my cars...

Really? I would not be so sure of that. How do you think people who used the vehicle resale glitch were banned on GTA Online? Rockstar monitored and filtered players with unrealistically high amount of earnings through vehicle sales. Xanax has nothing to do with taking precautions. Perhaps you on the other hand need two extra strength tablets of "respect" for your condescending disorder.

I hope everything works out for you at the end. I filled my garage up with +200 M4's and was about to downgrade to when i noticed your post.
I don't think it was patch related but to be sure I'm waiting for your results before going on.:D

Lol, you're cranky too. Is that a side-effect of missing some pills?
GTA is not a racing game, glitching money is infinitely more damaging to online experience of others in games like those.
And like I said, if you're paranoid about the possibility of punishment - don't glitch. Work under the assumption that PD/Sony *KNOWS YOUR EVERY F'ING MOVE*. Cause that's how things work these days.
