Which do you prefer? More importantly, which is faster around Suzuka Circuit? Can you beat these times? I equipped Sport Hard tires for both cars.

2:26.955 - 2004 Honda Integra Type R (DC5) - 216 hp @ 8000 rpm, 153 ft-lbs @ 7000 rpm, 1180 kg, 420 pp.
2:26.993 - 2006 Honda S2000 - 235 hp @ 8000 rpm, 163 ft-lbs @ 6500 rpm, 1250 kg, 423 pp.

Only 3 pp difference. I love the characteristics of both cars so much, I really can't decide which I'd rather own.

IRL the S2000 is simply a better car hands down. The DC5 chassis's suspension is a front macpherson strut with poor steering response and understeer. It's a well known fact in autocross our tracked versions the suspension needs a lot of work and has to be sprung hard as a rock to get any performance out of it.

How you can get close times is GT6 with the cars is beyond me.

Because it's the type r and not the joke we got here in the states.
His times surprised me as well but I also know the type s we have in the states can't really hold a candle to even older type r models.

Eww... Honda...

Just kidding. If they were the last two cars on earth, I would choose the S2000 just because it has the engine connected to the correct axle unlike the Integra.

Exactly, the cars aren't comparable - they just share a company of origin. The Integra's a lightened 'pull' concept whereas the S2000 is a strengthened 'push' concept. I've done a fair few miles in both and they feel utterly different (as you'd expect).

Both as fast as hell though :D :D

The great thing with Japanese cars is that they run forever. They might not run perfectly but they refuse to stop working. The worst two cars I ever owned were a Vauxhall and a very very highly-strung Jeep.

I personally feel this is not a fair battle because TC was using the top range DC5 vs. a base model S2000. Plus the improvement window of the DC5 is so much limited compared to S2000.

But if you made it between FD2 or DC5, that would be a tough choice.

I'd say S2000. My car has 255.000 km on the clock and still no major faults..
And on track rwd is usually more rewarding than fwd

When posting times, you should always mention if you used 'cheat' (SRF) or not, as it can add 2-3sec advantage or more.

Hondas > you :irked:.

<--- s2000 owner so I am very biased.

But to answer the question, s2000 all the way.

Because fwd and understeer is the suck. LoL

I own a FWD honda, so I am biased towards the teg.

But I'd have the S2 given the choice in real life. Amazing engine even in standard form.

I've tested just about every Honda in GT6 at Suzuka with Sport Hard tires. I don't use any cheats unless you count ABS-1.

The RSX Type-S is actually 4.5 seconds slower than the 2004 ITR. It weighs 75 kg more and has 17 fewer hp.

The 2008 CTR is fast and has usable backseats, so I'll let it slide for being 1.5 seconds slower than the S2K and ITR, but it barely beat the 2001 CTR.

For me S2000 is 10 times better than the Integra no matter the laptimes... because its RWD and it has great handling.

The DC5 Integra-R handles as good, if not better, than the AP2 S2000. If I had a PVR, I'd put both laps side by side.

I'd go so far as to say the DC5 ITR is the best non-turbo FF ever made, while it can't be said that the S2000 is the best non-turbo FR ever made, because it's not the fastest.

Why isn't the Spoon DC5 in GT6?

Funny that according to your times the 99 S2000 is the fastes S2K. It was a bit lighter with a higher revving engine but I thought the torquier 2.4ltr S2K's would be a bit faster.
