Damn right, Mclaren F1 should watch out. I have had first hand experience of this fantastic car, as late last year, I had a test drive in Staffordshire in this car.

I didn't actually drive it, but remained a passenger. Even so, the speed is amazing, I actually only had a quick zoom down a 600 metre stretch of track, but even so, we still reached 160+mph.

Frigging excellent car, best ever infact, except maybe the slower (but better) Ford GT...

That's one gorgeus car. And pretty powerful and light too. I wonder how it handles. The F1, from what I have heard has a pretty heavy and slow steering. But then again, it's 10 years old..

it looks pretty brutish.

the front is horrible, but the headlight designs themselves aren't bad.....its just that nothing really flows or fits.

the rear and the sides look great though.

When did this thread come back? This is oooold news.

And the handling on the F1 wasn't really ever sluggish. And has the car aged? The design on the inside, perhaps, but everything else seems to be great. The Macca beat out the Carrera GT in a one-on-one comparison this summer.

I'm a huge McLaren fan and that pleased me:)

I like the feud between Evo and Top Gear.
Evo diss Top Gear when a chance arises, and TG don't care:D

I find it hilarious that this car was first designed in 1997, and there has yet to be more than a handful of road cars built.
I'd be shocked to know that there are more than 5 "finished" cars, and I doubt that they have delivered any of the 10 that were presold in 2001.

Shape up, Mr. Koenigsegg.

Other than the ugly silver trim, this car looks great and is bound to perform well, if only they could actually make some cars.

hmm...I think I'll stick with my Koenigsegg. But yes, I do think the Porsche Carerra GT is a very beautiful car, but still no match for an F1 or CCR. I think in due time the CCR will take the title away from McLaren, but in the meantime BMW still gets the cred.

BMW powered, McLaren technology.
Both get credit. But yes, the only mention of BMW with it is that is powers the V12 monster.

I'm sure if Porsche or Ferrari decided to use forced induction, they to could build something with this level of performance.
