Hey, if you guys didn't know, DirecTV's NBA League Pass is free for the first week of the NBA season! :)
If I had cable, I could have used that. :D

What is going on with my Sixers???
They dropped the first two, didn't they? I think the first one was close? :indiff:

I saw the highlight of Vince Carter dunking on Alonzo Mourning last night. Man I love VC. And how about Kidd off the backboard to Jefferson on Giricek? The Nets are ridiculous. :D

On another note, I downloaded a Jason Williams highlight clip earlier today, it's great. 👍 If you like showtime passes a la Magic Johnson, I definitely recommend you do a search for Jason Williams.

Jason Williams was the one who did that "behind the back kick pass" in the all-star game right??? If he did, i just have to say...SICK

No, i think you're referring to Steve Nash. This is Jason Williams:

Darn. :indiff: Blazers just lost against the (still)unbeaten Detroit Pistons. Blazers had the upper hand in 1st, 2nd and most of the 3rd quarter, but experience really showed in the final quarter. I was kinda glad to see the young Blazers come close to beating a veteran team like the Pistons though. Good job, fellas. I think the Pacers, Sixers and Spurs won as well........ did I mention that Pacers won, Saleen? :D

No, I don't think you did, who did they beat? :grumpy: Haha oh well, my Nets will bounce back. I think they really need to try an acquire a solid big man soon though. Nenad Krstic could develop into a solid player over the next few years, but neither Jason Collins and Scott Padgett aren't very good. As for the Raptors, well I was kind of watching their game against Utah tonight, and they just seem to suck more and more every year.

Nets let Kenyon Martin go because he was asking for too much money. Then they acquire Vince Carter with his huge contract. Net's will be paying for that mistake for next year or two.

Jazz are surprisingly good this year. Let's hope it won't last long(my least favorite team & city).

I'm not surprised by how bad Toronto is.... they got no help! I wish they'll do serious rebuilding, or pretty soon, fans in Canada will be sick of the Raptors too. That reminds me. When Damon Stoudamire played for the Blazers, Toronto fans always boo'ed Damon. Every time he touched the ball. Why was that? Any idea why?

Yeah, you're right about that. I love Kenyon Martin. I bet he misses J-Kidd.

Every year I can remember, even the Stockton/Malone days, Utah has always been the most boring team to watch. I'm definitely not a fan.

Damon Stoudamire asked to be traded after Isiah Thomas left as the Raptors GM. And as I'm sure you know, Raptor fans aren't too kind to players who ask for a trade.

Yeah, they really made a good team. I'm sure they are missing each other.

Blazers and Jazz has been rivals for the longest time. I hated Malone and Stockton for their dirty play style. Malone even cracked open Brian Grant's head open in one of our playoff encounter. And their owner, fans are just as nasty. Jazz players would take out Blazers players, and the Salt Lake City fans would just cheer them on. No class.

Ah, I see. For some reason, I thought Damon joined the Blazers as a free agent. I remember the trade now. Alvin Williams was part of it, I think Walt "Wizard" Williams was part of the trade, also. Isiah and Damon were really tight, so I can see why Damon was no longer interested in playing in Toronto, after Zeke left. No wonder the Raptor fans are upset with him now. I'd be too. Damon could've shown little loyalty. I mean, they used their lottery pick to draft you, and were paying you millions to play for their team.

That reminds me of the... Pistons was it? ... of the late 80's. Another dirty team.

Yeah, there's been a couple of players that've done that to Canadian teams. Steve Francis' reaction to being drafted by the Grizzlies instantly made him hated by most Canadian NBA fans. As a player coming out of college, I don't care how good you are, you should be happy just to be drafted into the NBA. It's an honor, something that millions of people out there dream of, but yet some players still find it OK to ***** and whine about what team drafts them. Gimme a break.

I kinda liked Francis, but I forgot all about that. Typical NBA players, me me me me me!

On the Damon Stoudamire trade thing, now I don't think Walt Williams was part of that trade. I think he was a part of a package that went to the Rockets for Scottie Pippen. One of the best trades Blazers has ever made. I miss you, Scottie! :( In you honor:

The Raptors got Alvin Williams, Kenny Anderson (whatever happened to him in Toronto?), Gary Trent, 3 different draft picks and money. :odd: They got a lot and still didn't go nowhere with it. Although I'm 99.23423% sure that Vince Carter was one of those picks. The only good draft pick they've ever made.

Scottie Pippen was great. Even in his later years, he was still a good defender, even though he had clearly lost a step or two.

Wow, two Warriors fans. I wonder where the other three are? :sly:

Scottie was the one who got me interensted in playing the "D". It was something else to see him shut down oponents in the playoff series, when he played for the Bulls.

They are predicted to make the playoffs, so if that's really the case, you bet. Those fair-weather fans........ :grumpy: :D

I can't believe how lucky the Pistons are with their schedule, but everyone thinks it's amazing. Yet when the Heat play 2 late round playoff contenders (Houston and Indiana, plus we played Indiana twice) and stay up to the challenge with a team that's 2 months old and without Shaq, they think we're having a meltdown. Wow.

Yeah, you shouldn't be counting anybody out this early in the season(it just began!), except the Sonics. It's pretty ugly up in Seattle. :P:tup:

Wow, the Wizards could be getting very scary... two games where they score 100+ point and Arenas has 40+ himself. Anyone see that 130 point game? Wish i coulda seen that!

I miss Caron. :(

JFM92_GTRacer
HOO-RAH???? Sweet another fan. Guess what guys??? I'm gonna watch the Rockets play the Warriors the day after Christmas!!! :dopey:
Right on. Both up & coming teams, should be a good game. 👍 I hope to go see a Blazers game soon, but I've been to only a preseason game so far. Nosebleed seats at that. :(

What's happening with the Wizards? Was Kwame Brown really that bad? :P They even beat the Spurs, which is not easy to do, even this early in the season. I forgot Caron Butler was a former Heat. :D

JFM92_GTRacer
How are the Heat doing anyways???? Isnt Shaq out???

Yeah, he's out for at least 2 weeks they've said. Without him we've been 3-2. They're getting through it i guess.

I thought the Wizards would be bad this season. I didn't expect Caron Butler to have an impact, especially not so early. I thought Larry Hughes was much better. Guess not.

I counted Toronto out at the end of last season.

They did alright, tonight. 👍 Just like the Blazers against the Pistons, they fell short, but I thought Toronto showed heart by forcing overtime. :)

Unfortunatly guyz, My dad said that the Rockets game is actually on the 14 of Dec. I believe i'll still be at school...

SOOO that means the Nuggets the day after Christmas or the Celtics on the 28th.
Nuggets or Celtics???

Eh, I'd probably go with teh Nuggets. Although I'd love to see Paul Pierce (my boy :sly: ) play. Boston will probably get murdered though hah, so go see the Nuggets. ;)
