That's a big no. The whole reason Pescarolo had to switch to Judd engines was because Peugeot pulled their backing of the project. They aren't likely to jump right back in, with even more money, 2 years later.

They're also dropping out of WRC to concentrate on selling road cars, so they aren't likely to suddenly jump into LeMans either.

The Pescarolo Peugeot deal only had back door support, at best.

Peugeot concentrated on their WRC program.

The WRC program will end at the end of the season and Peugeot WILL be entering a new international series.

That could be the WTCC or Le Mans.

It seems the WTCC program could be farmed out to national importers while Peugeot Sport concentrate on the LMP1 program (if it gets the go ahead).

This would be with their own chassis and engine. It could be a diesal engine.

There seems to be a possiblilty that stablemate Citroen may well be the ones going to Le Mans as they have not won there. Peugeot are still the favourites however.

It makes no logical sense for Peugeot to drop out of WRC, claiming it cost too much, and then jump into BOTH WTCC and LeMans racing. Even jumping back into just LeMans makes no sense since it'd cost as much if not more.

PSA wont be jumping into major racing for a few more years until they have the money again to spend on it.

Peugeot and Citroen are not dropping out of the WRC because of costs, its because they have fullfilled all of their marketing goals.

Peugeot already have a WTCC car up and runing (i think its run by Peugeot Sweden?).

Peugeot AND Citroen will both be back in major series within the next 12-18 months.

As I said it could well be Citoen who enter sportscar racing, altough rally raids have been mentioned with a revised C4 WRC.

Yeah, they don't have the fastest car this year. It looks like the Aston Martins beat them out by a few seconds. Still, the teams play a major role in this too. The Corvette Racing team is the best. I say the Vettes do it again this year, provided nothing devastating happens to them. But, like you said, they have their work cut out for them.
