I was kind of looking forward to getting the new ball. Too bad.
Anyone noticed how scores of games have seem to become a few points lower with the move back to the new ball? :(
Scoring is consistently low in Portland, I never noticed. :P

Mavs are on another wild winning streak. 11 in a row...almost matching the 12 game streak earlier. Looking good eh McLaren?

The question is, will they repeat that god awful pattern?

The one thing me and Dave hate is that they lead in the first QTRs, then they start to fall back to a tie-game.

But, looks like the Mavs are ready to go back to the Finals, and win.

Now, who the hell said Miami has a chance? They're in 9th place of their division with 13 and 17. Even a couple of people I go to school with think most of the Easten Divison sucks and I almost agree as the top 3 teams are these.

Detroit - 18-11
Cleveland - 18-12
Orlando - 19-14

That's good, but looking at the Western, not very good.

Now, I've been hearing Howard got 2 Player of the Week awards. Really?

It's too early to talk playoffs. If Miami is in the playoffs, even as the 8th seed, they are one of the teams you don't want to play. I'm putting down the NBA officiating again, but they are designed to benefit "star players". Miami roster is full of them with Shaq being the mother of all, and the player that's been getting the most "treatment", since Jordan retired.

Easter Conference are weak, but I haven't seen any dominant teams from the West either. It's not like they are unbeatable this year. Spurs are up and down, Dallas have choked before, Jazz are unproven. If Miami can at least have Shaq and Wade healthy, they have just as good of chance as anybody IMO.

I think you mean Wright and Wade. I've heard Shaq still can't shoot free-throws.
Quite right, but that never stopped Shaq and his teams from having success before. Usually got the opposing teams in early foul trouble, early penalty, which means his teammates got to shoot free throws, too. Way I observed when Shaq played for the Lakers, he himself should have fouled out in the first half in many of the games, but amazingly, he'd have 1 or 2 fouls at the most at the half or 3rd quarter. NBA Officiating truly makes me sick, and it is no wonder how many of the b-ball fans have moved on to NCAA Basketball.

Honestly no one can judge the Heat's record right now. For Christ's sake, even the coach is injured! Our go-to guy is Jason Kapono.

I heard Wade was out, but not the coach. Ouch, lol.

Anyways, Dallas goes on tonight for a 26-7 record, with 100-91. 12 straight victories.

You two are getting really hard to tell apart. I guess the avatar's are kind of like our faces on gtplanet.

My avatar is prettier. :sly:

It's going to be tough now.

Spurs tonight, Lakers Sunday at their court, and 2 more games I believe.

1 down 2 more to go on the western US swing. Utah is the only one that I'm worried about. The Lakers do not bother me what-so-ever. Devean George might have some secrets about Kobe that he can tell Avery. :sly: 👍

That was a close game, but the end was amazing.

You're right about the Lakers though. They're at 22-11, are a bit too far to even make a big impact on increasing their current position from first. The biggest is Phoenix at 24-8, but we can afford a loss and still lead, I believe.

You guys are playing the Suns, huh? That could be the matchup we'll see in the Western Conference Finals, possibly. They can be scary good.

Lakers record is way better than I figured. Credit goes to Phil Jackson and Kobe, I guess. They don't even have that good of a team, it's pretty impressive feat. 👍

Well, the Suns are 2nd in the division. I'm a bit worried about tomorrow night. We might lose though we'll probably still retain our 1st place.

BTW a6m5, you ready for when we defe...I mean play your team this coming week?

Dude, Blazers lost against the Celtics and the Knicks, back-to-back. They did beat the Kings in O/T last night though, and the game against Giancarlo's team is being televised, tonight.

I thought that Blazers could compete for the last spot in the Playoff race this year, but injuries really slowed them down, combined with the immaturities of the team(which I always expect from any young NBA teams), and the slow comeback of our backbone on defense, Joel Przybilla. Zach Randolph's been pretty amazing though. I used to love that guy, because every offseason, he'd learn or improve something about his game. Then his name started to be mentioned in bunch of negative headlines, but it's been all basketball for Zach this season.

Lakers 94
Mavs 103

Dirk with 29/15 and Howard with 24/11. My prediction for tonight's game. That is all.

I hope so. The Mavs are really started to playing fierce in the 2nd QTR.

Gian, I actually feel bad to hear Shaq is out for a couple weeks with knee surgery. But Wade has what? A sprained right wrist? How long will that put him out?

Well Dirk had 29/13 and Howard had 20/9 and they lost. Pretty good game, the Laker played very hard. We came out very flat at the game start, and started to pick it up. But, leave it to Kobe to light it up against the Mavs...again. We just can't seem to get any kind of winning streak going in the Staples center. Oh well, time for the Mavs to start a new 12+ game winning streak.

Naturally, he came back against the Blazers. We get this treatment, all the time. Star player has been out for XX games and he's a game time decision against the Blazers, he plays. Everytime. Wade killed us, too. Blazers did hold a pretty commanding lead at one time, but started choking sometime in the third. It's gonna be a long season. :indiff:

What didn't surprise me was to see Kobe start his little 4th QTR routine of taking any cheap means necessary to win. I felt a couple of the fouls were not called on Kobe with Dirk, and that Kobe got a little lucky with his permission to the free throw.

But it was a good game. Doesn't matter. We could afford that loss without hurting our record.

a6m5, I actually feel bad that he had to come back against your team. I guess that means the Mavs will be seeing him.

Hi, Dallas fans! :sly:

I can't belive that idiot Bush(Texan) is interrupting the game on TV! j/k

I don't have cable, so I don't get to see too many Blazers games on TV, you know. How long is he going to be on for. Blazers were just getting close to tying the game, too.

Anyways, good luck to all of us. :D

Edit: Oh, great. Now that it's back on TV, Blazer's down by 12 points.

I like ya a6m5 and all but...the Blazers are so going down tonight! :sly:

3rd Q Blazers 45 Dallas 63

That was quite a beating. Do you think my team was bit overmatched by the Mavs? :D Oh, well. At least we shorted the fans at the games of free Chalupa(I think that was pretty much the highlight). :P

Well, I'm sure you guys playing Wade who made the decision to come back on your team of all teams probably didn't help the morale either. We'll have another tough match with Indiana tomorrow though.

JCE, your thoughts on that?

We are like 8-19 or something insanely bad like that in Indiana. This is not going to be an easy game. However, Devean George is just a stud. His defense is by far underrated. No one even knew he exsisted since Kobe took all of the spotlight. I'm glad we have him. My predictions?

Dallas 90
Indiana 85

Dirk: 23/11
Howard: 19/9
Terry: 21/7(ast)6(reb)

But if we blew them out that would be ok by me. :sly:

Hopefully the Heat will be back in form by the end of the month! Riley should be back in 2-4 weeks, too. I think all these rough losses were good for the team, because now the bench has really proved that it can handle being a championship-caliber supporting cast. I just hope they stick to that...i don't want Jason Kapono and Dorell Wright to be our second and third options in terms of scoring.

Wow what a game. Definately one of the better games this season I've watched. It was back and forth and I wouldn't of been surprised to see either team win. Thank goodness it was the Mavs. :sly:
