2006 500HP Corvette stock

Perhaps the front does not bear much resemblance to Vettes of the past, but why must it? And the colored-under clear glass look is okay on a 360 but not a Vette? What gives?

Somebody pinpoint the exact design flaws in this car, rather than just saying 'it's ugly.'

Say what you want about the looks, I would give my left nut for one.
Are you still high from last night man? J/P Yeah its pretty nice but not nice enough to give my left nut away I would just go out and buy one.

Hiya! :D :embarrassed:  Meow! (='.'=)

I would love to see the new Z06 compete on a test against the C5 Z06 and see the difference! :embarrassed: 👍

BTW Pimp Racer, how do you post pictures that high of a quality? Everytime I try to post pictures of that high quality, its too big. Even if it small enough, it only get posted as a thumbnail thingy NOT how you can get it up there.

If the image is on your hard drive, go to http://imageshack.us and uplad it there; it will give you code to copy-paste into the 'New Post' text box.

If the image is from the internet, enclose it in tags, such as

(but without the spaces).

I just upload them from different sites and some from my Imgaeshack site.
Thanks to my companion Skip for answering the question. :D 👍

The C5r has a smaller engine than the C6. At least, that's what I'm getting from the image.
500 hp 7 ltr. engine? Dyamn!

The C6-R has the same engine as the C6, it's just sitting lower and has less "stuff" around it that isn't needed on a racing car.

Nice link Pimp Racer! :embarrassed: I didnt realize how the C6's headlights can look like the Ferrari Modena's 360.
Yeah they are very much similiar to the 360. I perfer the 360's headligths though.

Its been a while since anyone's posted, but. . . . A lot of the new design features of the new vette were done so they could sell them overseas (read--EUROPE). Smaller dimensions(the C6 is smaller than the 911! I know it doesn't look like it, but it is! And the Z06 is just slightly wider than the 911), the new headlights (besides being TONS lighter and more aerodynamic when up/on) allow drivers to flash other motorists to pass (which I guess is a big deal on the other side of the pond. And no, I don't know why you couldn't just use your fog lights).
Yeah, there was a storm of protest from Corvette faithful when they came out with the new headlights. But when you realize that it's the LAST production car on the planet to have flip up lights, and keep the other things I've stated in mind, most lovers are finding ways to deal with it.
There are also rumors that the 500-515 hp was RWHP. Just rumors, mind you, but if that was true, it would mean between 580-600 hp flywheel. The potential is there, but GM is fighting to get the most they can out of it without having a gas guzzler tax (26mpg highway! That's better than my Stanza!)
