Unless McLaren can somehow buy Rosberg's contract out the way Honda did to Button's. But A) they'd have to pay a hell of a lot since Sir Frank probably wants to keep Rosberg more than he wanted to keep Button and B) McLaren probably can't afford to be doing that any time soon following their fine.

L to the MAO.

Oh dear. Did you not get the hint with being shown the door by Toyota?

Hmm...its really odd that they mentioned about Heikki staying at Renault. Was it confirmed or was it just a rumor? Anyhow, is Ralf still...... you know, haven't learn his lessons yet? C'mon, he is only as good as his last race, which was almost 3 years ago...
But still, could anyone else have a chance at that McLaren seat? Surely McLaren can put either De La Rosa or Parfett in the seat now that Prodrive isn't going to enter next year....

wow, Ralph's a brave one and a true believer in what you dont ask for you dont get, but does he seriously believe McLaren would even CONSIDER him!? Sorry, just don't think Ralph has race winning pace in him anymore to be honest.

Aye, Ralf and Fisi are really going up in the world these days =D

Oh and it's pretty much confirmed (if anyone still even believed it) that Alonso won't be joining Red Bull next season

lmao, if the assumption that Renault go with Alonso and Nelsinho, I hope the latter won't have to play second fiddle to Alonso. I'd like to see Piquet Jr get a fair shot.

Why doesnt Ralf just give up and retire or look for another sport?

Because he enjoys driving F1 cars?

Seriously, I’d jump at the opportunity to drive for Force India even though I’d spend my Sunday afternoons getting lapped.

... maybe, but I don't really see Big Poppa Piquet being scared off by anything Flavio would say.

Aren't Jenson and Rubens contracted for 08 anyway? Rubens I cant remember cause there was talk of him going the way of Super Aguri.

Binding contracts are so 2006...

I still think he will be at Ferrari.
He can't be; they don't have a vacancy until 2009. Alonso was too slow to act so now all the seats that could be championship contenders or at least reasonable teams to drive for have been taken. The only ones that are really left are the two Renault drives; Ferrari, BMW, Williams, Red Bull, Honda and Toyota are all full (and they're the only ones even slghtly worth considering), barring a repeat of Buttongate. He waited too long, probably to try and get a better deal than the one he had from Renault, and now no-one wants him. Flavio could probably make him a new offer at a much lower level of pay than the first offer and still get Alonso's services.

Besides, I don't think Alonso would fit in at Ferrari. They've shown in the past that they're happy to give their drivers equal attention until one is in a position to fight for the championship (remember the year Irvine did it because Schumacher broke his leg). Alonso, on the other hand, wants all the attention from the moment he arrives at the team.

 Ferrari are happy to give their drivers equal attention - as long as their first name is Michael and they have a brother who is the 3rd best F1 driver.

They practically hobbled Irvine's fight for the championship because they wanted MS to win it for them!!
