Luck for you maybe. Some of us new what we were doing...Me too. I think it's just luck in picking one that does end up with the right mix at the end. I've got a couple of drivers on my alt which are better than any of the drivers I've got on my main, and I didn't even take care in picking them, was more of a "random" selection. I've been training up quite a few drivers on my main now, and none of them has cut it. Go figure. Oh well, one day, one day.

Damn, I missed a lot while I was sleeping!
First of all, I've got to say that I'm sorry to Boogie because that's TERRIBLE. All that work for nothing!
Second of all, I have a question that is irrelevant to this thread
! How do you change the little gray words, like "Bronze Member" and "Active Member"? Shem would know.
BTW thank you all for being so in tuned with this series. I love it. I chose some teammates for those without but jmacca still needs a teammate. I'm planning on starting an alternate account so we'll see how that goes... maybe I can myself into Division 2 since that needs some boosting.
Everyone... I think maybe the poor finishes from last season discouraged some of the drivers. So, I think we'll need some help filling up Division 2, since that is where those drivers were relegated to.
BTW I'm loving iRacing! So realistic (better than GT5, actually). Just entered my first race yesterday afternoon and placed 3rd out of 10! It was the Mazda Cup race at Okayama Circuit and I'm pretty proud of myself.

BadBoyBoogieThat's frustrating, but I think you probably made the right choice, as at least you can train another driver up.
The bit I find hard is finding a driver that has that extra bit of magic that makes him special in Remote Races. Over my two accounts, I've had 3 'special' drivers that have done particularly well when Remote Racing, and I've tried to create about 10 new drivers with similar characteristics and only one of them turned out to be any good!! I wish I knew what that magic ingredient was!!
I think it has something to do with starting them early in their careers with remote racing. Also I've found a greater number of races doesn't hurt. I guess I'll see this pays off when W.Newman reaches level 40. With his recent performances I have a hunch that it just may

Good for you if you can tell early how they're going to turn out. Form what I could tell, the way they advance is fixed, and nothing you do can change that. I've had drivers who've looked superb at level 34, and then the last 6 progressions were minimal and they only turned out average. On the other hand, I had drivers who didn't look as promising in their 30s, and then they ended up with close to full bars, and doing much better at 40. I, for one, haven't been able to find a method yet, all I can do is take a driver, bring them up to 40, and then let them compete to see how they turned out. If there really is a way to tell early, I haven't figured it out yet.

Seriously, I thought Mertens had it, but it turns out he just got lucky. I trained Solomon hard but he ended up as poor as Molnar. Kinney always does OK, and De La Fuente isn't bad. I had to get rid of Rousseau for Grassi for Shem's amateur racer challenge.
Anyhow, I hope I can retire Solomon. I might tomorrow.

LV, if your short of numbers for either Div 2 or 3, then I can enter a driver from my alt account again. As you know, I lost all my drivers when a powercut corrupted my gamesave, but last night I decided to start again from scratch and train another driver up.
I borrowed some cars from my main account, and thanks to the B-spec seasonal events I quickly got my new Bob upto level 15 after just 3 races, and that was just with the 110% sign-in bonus. By the time the season starts, I'll definitely have her trained upto at least level 25, if not more.

What impeccable timing. While N.Juarez had been sitting idle for quite a few days now, R.Sakurai has only gone idle overnight, and it seems just in time for the championship. You should find them both available at all times now.

I believe you're missing out on the race and get 0 points for it. And if it happens three times in a row, I believe you're excluded from the championship altogether. I'm sure Lord Voldemort can confirm.
