2012 Bahrain Grand Prix

But even a DRS-less Merc should still beat a Caterham. A DRS-less Merc won the last race...

He was on the medium tire, but I agree with you. There's no way Mercedes should've let that happen.

Qualifying and the Race Start are much more devalued nowadays with the DRS and KERS on offer to pass any car at will effectively. Its a shame the mad frenzy we had back in 2010 has kinda gone now as well as the race start pile-ups.

Rant of the day.

Monaco or Monza normally guarantees a first corner shunt.

Due to slow, tightish and tricky first corners.

Or 24 cars hurtling to the same point of road, all at the same time.

Massa out again in Q2, Alonso struggling and using up tyres and I don't think Ferrari will benefit from rain this weekend...

Lol, Raikenon (bad spelling) out of Q3.

Whoever crosses the line last in Q3 from the main players, will get pole. The track just keeps on getting faster.

Even with Schumi starting P17, I can say that he has a solid chance of being on the podium, or even winning. He's done it before, plus he has all new tires, most likely the fastest car on the grid, the skill of a legend (though I still see he is a wee bit rusty occasionally) and the fact that this is Michael Schumacher we're talking about.

Given his luck, a stray bird will end up in the air intake, destroying his race.

Well done to Red Bull and Vettel, going to be an exciting race tomorrow.

Got a point there mate. I think the first three races, he had a chance to win all of them... but ah well. He's to hoping that his luck is good tmrw! And his Pit crew bolt the wheels in. And he stays clear of Grosjean. And Petrov. And birds. And... hmmm, I see what you mean... :scared:

The 2012 F1 season of surprises keeps on dishing out surprises. I do like the way the cars are very close in performance and it's the individuals input that is making the difference. Good stuff.

Thanks alot lol

Vettel to win.:sly:

Fingerboy takes his first pole of the season. I don't think he will be able to match the performance of the McLarens over a race distance, though.

I think tomorrow we will see much of the top ten drop back, while the midfielders and Alonso will start on the Mediums and be able to claw back in the race. Points for Alonso, Raikkonen, Senna, and maybe Hulkenberg. Verne may be able to capitalize as well, but Schumacher for certain will move up the field. He can probably make it into the top 5.

Too bad it's not that simple, nice dream but if that were the case we'd see more out of him. Even if "this is Michael Shumacher we're talking about" this isn't his field anymore nor has it been since Alonso showed up. Sad fact is even Alonso isn't the number one on the grid but closer to it than Shumi. I do have to agree though that he does have a chance but only due to the tire wear of this 2012 season and a good Merc GP W03
