Sitting at home might be more convenient, but I loved the wheel over the ds3... It was a lot more sensitive and gave a better simulator experience... Besides, of you drive real cars on the road, you'll be right at home with the wheel... So yea, manual shifting, braking and downshifting simultaneously and all that, I prefer the wheel... Wouldn't be able to do half as well on the ds3
how do you perform on ps3 with ds3 in seasonals

?

Thanks for the info Aadil, much appreciated. But one question the car used is exclusively for the event right? So it's not there in gt6?

It had GT Academy decals on the side, so I'm assuming it's exclusive... But it felt very similar to the one in the game... Not the stock one, the other one

Hmmm cause the one in game has bad handling. And how about the tyres? Were they sports hard?
They directly make you start... So when you sit in the simulator, it's already on the track, so I can't confirm what tires were being used, but they weren't providing great grip

Oh ok then I'm guessing it's sports hard.

sports hard for 5-6 laps in 10 mins? I presume it should be sports medium or better be racing medium, considering it is the nizmo version. And even medium doesn't provide a "feel-good" grip for me at least.

I think its racing hards or sports soft.
But we can only know by friday once delhi begins.

Did you guys figure out the tyres for this 2:10 time?
Gt generally keeps traction control on...I would be surprised if it was compulsory off.
In regards to ASM and SRF, SRF will definitely be off. And ABS will definitely be on 1. ASM pata nahin

I thought it was over in Delhi?

hey guys so i tried it at expo on gt's day 1 and was one of the first ones. prior target was 2:28 so i kinda felt okay on 2:17 for the time being :P . Tc was off for sure. Yeah about the car its GT-R NISMO GT3 N24 Schulze Motorsport '13. I bought the game today only to try the car that i thought was Gtr academy edition one but it felt different. Then i compared some photos of GT academy launch and found the car to be the GT3 N24 Schulze. They differ a lot coz GT3 N24 Schulze is rwd. and about 2:05 time that was clocked yesterday i think they might have changed some car and track settings for sure. Maybe they set tc to 1 and track grip loss to less, or maybe even tires. Those with gt6 just try time trial on silverstone (the 5km one) and select GT3 N24 Schulze from courtesy cars, switch of tc and set tire grip loss to real. post times. Best i could manage was 2:06

So I used the schulze motorsport from courtesy cars with racing hard tyres and managed 2.02.329 after 5 laps with all aids off except abs

The cars very grippy and did a few sighting laps around 2:04. TC at 1.
I wasnt flat out just learning the track etc but I wasnt slow either. low high 1:59s are possible.
Not sure if srf was on or off. Will do proper laps once I'm back.

Update - 2:01 tc=0 racing hard tires. Also, anyone here whos 6 feet +? I am 6 feet 4 and had to squeeze into the sim. It was so cramped that i had to left foot brake. Sometimes even drove with unintentional brake applied.

6'4"? That is quite tall. Your best bet is to try and improve your time from your home if you got the copy of GT6. Also tell, was the race in complete manual or semi-automatic transmission?

yeah mate everything off only abs =1 .

flappy paddles :P . I loved the click feel of those. Although the system had a clutch it wasnt in use.
How many times can you try the live events in the same day?

Better no clutch use! Yea that is semi-automatic. I am planning to get myself a Logitech Driving Force GT which has a sequential gear and paddle shift gear too, but no clutch. So that will be suffice.

16 secs gap between the live events and playing at home :embarrassed:

Any Indian in the top 100 or 500 in any of the current the seasonals?
Just curious.
I dont go online but I've tried it offline and can gold most by 5seconds using a decent tune.
