Learned one thing from this race...

Two cars pushing each other, separated from the field and way back in the 30s... get penalized
Cars pushing others to the lead.. perfectly fine to do.

If this race is a preview, it means I'll be missing a hell of a race if I can't find a radio station that is broadcasting it.

With the exception of the inside line having a big run, which we've already seen isn't the case in cup, it was a great race. Big moves, big saves, and I'm counting the pileup on the restart as the big one.

The amazing thing is we didn't at all get the usual massive pile up that we always get in Restrictor plate races. That incident on the restart had at least no more then two cars from what I saw.

Tomorrow might be the last real chance to make the Chase for drivers like Vickers, McMurray, Truex Jr, Almirola, Mears, Danica, Gilliland... (I'd put Ragan but he's gonna have a tough time being in Top-30 in points, he's 64pts behind as of now)
I don't mean to be rude or offensive, but why was everyone but one referred to by last name? :dopey:

Makes sense.

One theory I had was that there's someone else with the name Patrick around in NASCAR too, but apparently not.

Wait, that's just Danica Patrick out of costume.....

*undermines*
I don't think you get our joke, better not explain it.

My prediction (I know, it's Daytona...) for tonight is that a long shot doesn't win, but there will be a few in the top 10. A driver who's already won this season will win.

It's scheduled for 2h25 minutes from now... BUT... the weather there today has been 🤬

Good chance it will get delayed until tomorrow afternoon.... putting it at the same time as the Indycar race... :indiff:

Good.

Night race = Impossible for Europe
Clash with Indy = Side by Side

Only just...

On an unrelated note, tonight's race is the last one that Barney Hall is going to be lead play-by-play commentator for MRN.

Also, Morgan Shepard will attempt to qualify for next week's race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in the #33.
