I looked at it as a low-speed game of chicken.
12 drivers over 200 mph with 16 minutes left in practice.

Tony Stewart and I think they said Edwards asking NASCAR to stop people from driving slowly.
Wouldn't shock me a bit since the huge packs running slow are a hazard for those who want to go full throttle. Stewart has also been warned by NASCAR for his pit exiting antics.

Not to mention it's only funny for a lap, then it gets boring.

Was the last time they all crashed because of rain Richmond of 2009 when Scott Riggs crashed... Before that was the 02(?) Shootout.

 Unbelieveable.

The leading pack gives the second pack a draft, thus giving everybody in that second pack a faster lap than the lead pack.

My guess is that it is once again a couple packs just logging laps while trying to figure out which pack will run at full speed first. It happened yesterday in the Sprint Cup Practice.

What's the whole "slowing down" business?

Something that will result in a severe crash injuring several drivers due to the ridiculous closing rates between packs, forcing NASCAR to return to single-car qualifying for the plate tracks. :indiff:

I have a feeling there's one other person here...
don't even know why "Last Row" Joe got an almost full-time ride in the first place...

-he's slow (look what Moffitt, a rookie, and Jeff Burton, who's 4 years younger yet is about to retire, did with the same car at Dover and Vegas, respectively)
-he's old
-he's not even scoring points since he's registered in NNS and/or Trucks

_____

Tomorrow might be the last real chance to make the Chase for drivers like Vickers, McMurray, Truex Jr, Almirola, Mears, Danica, Gilliland... (I'd put Ragan but he's gonna have a tough time being in Top-30 in points, he's 64pts behind as of now)

Isn't it only the number 66 being shared, but the cars are fielded by dif teams depending on who's in the car?

Burton and I think Moffit drive a car prepared by MWR, while FRJ drives a car prepared by... some other team. They share the number 66.
