Why Harvick? Just switched on.

A couple of bean-bags used for inspection to counter the weight for the lack of the driver fell onto the floorboard where the pedals are at, which is not a good thing at this track where all 3 are used by some drivers, especially on the up-shift.

They don't need to use the clutch on upshifts. They can if they want to.

This is true. During the NW Series race yesterday, I saw a couple of drivers using the clutch on upshifts. I think they decide to use it if they want to take extra special care of the transmission.

#26 hard into the tire barrier off of turn 1. Cole Whitt is out of the car and ok, though a bit shook up. He hit it hard enough to move the the barrier a few feet from each direction of the car up to the fence.

I'm uneasy of the barriers moving up like that. Not as big an issue with NASCAR but definitely not a good thing if this was Indy Car.

It's still early in the race, but if anyone is going to win this that isn't in the 24 or the 9, they're gonna have to beat them on strategy because they have no chance of beating those two on outright speed alone.

Should I really be pondering the fact that a NASCAR official was talking to Kyle before ESPN went to commercial break as much as I am?
