Yes Please, PSN: GT_ADAM_US Thanks

Hey Adam, congrats on making it in. You're on my friends list and I've been chasing your ghost forever and must say it truly has been an honor. I'm pulling for you my friend, don't disappoint me. ;)

On topic, I would also like to be part of this....need all the practice and advice I can get in preparation for next year. cargorat323.

Lesson #1:

If some random comes in to the lobby and enters the track using a different car, kick 'em before it's too late. :boggled:

Had to log off after I disconnected. My internet is being stupid again.

I'll join in when I can. PSN: VindictiveScrub

Though, may I suggest the car list be expanded or modified a bit? They used the DeltaWing and a GT-R touring car last year, not to mention the GT-R GT3 they just used. They're probably going to keep mixing up the cars they use. Also would advise against oil changes, since the cars they use at the National Finals are bone stock.

When did they use the DeltaWing? I thought all the finals last year were on GT5?

Also..does anyone know the tune specs for the gt academy final round GT-R? I tried to race it on the track again and it's totally different.

Yay! Thread's already made! :)

I'll figure out a few things tonight to see what works best for GT6. In the meantime, posting room numbers here is fine but please edit your posts to delete them once closed. Also, you really only need three other people to start a room since the actual Academy races have relatively small fields.

There was a race car used last year in US Finals. I'd say add one or maybe both of these:

Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 N24 '13
Nissan GT-R R35 Touring Car
Nissan Silvia S15 Touring Car

For those than afford it, add the 2013 Delta Wing to your collections as well. Yes, that thing got used as well. :grumpy:

I just bought most of the Nissan cars. Here's the stats brand new without an oil change in case they changed from GT5.

S15 Silvia - 433PP, 246HP
Z33 - 456PP, 310HP
Z34 - 461PP, 331HP
R34 - 472PP, 336HP
S15 Touring - 507PP, 355HP
GT-R Black - 546PP, 541HP
2013 GT3 N24 - 609PP, 591HP
GTR R35 TC - 615PP, 654HP
2013 Deltawing - 687PP, 344HP

Edit:

We do need to race in the rain because it was actually done. Added one more car as well.

I remember hoping last year that you guys would practice rain races but it never happened. :(

Count me in as well, being in 99th Place is pretty cool I feel humble on being so close, I'm happy I've made it to top 100, we are talking about 7 tenths here haha! Amazing!

Good job!

I'm in a similar place, getting in the top 100 for the first time and not being all too far from making it. Much closer than I ever had though possible anyways.

@outlaw4rc so are those the cars what we will be practicing now? And so we get an oil change or no?
It's a fluid list right now but it's a safe bet the cars will be Nissan, most likely premium models.

Thanks Rich! I'll be adding those to the OP later tonight. Great starting point. And to the people suggesting cars and which we are going to use: the list and settings in the OP are just placeholders. It's up to us to figure out which cars we all want to use.

And + 1 to running wet races. Also don't forget to throw in some longer races to mix it up as well, like ten or fifteen laps, depending on the track, don't go longer than 20 minutes.

I believe the longest race I had in Finals was 15 minutes but different regions do different things. US races tend to be rather short, that much I know.

If there's one point I'd like to add, it's that you do NOT practice for these races. There's so many variables out of your control - steering wheel used, wheel settings, seating and TV arrangement, room temperature, track and car combo, cameras in your face, time between races, etc - that it's natural to feel uncomfortable. You don't want to get comfortable because the real deal will be anything but.

It would be nice if they utilize the Race Alone quali option for PQR races. Now that you can turn the blue lines and names off, this seems to be the fairest method.

But if the consensus is that it's better to train for random grid ordering, then you guys should practice that too.

Have fun everyone, and congrats on this great opportunity!
