Oil change or no? Cause I wanna know if I have to Spend $250 or not... Cause I'm really poor.
Don't do it, it only gives you a few extra pp which you can make up through skills even if everyone did an oil change. Seems legit, no? :D

Hey guys! I made it to the national Finals this year! (At least, I hope I did. I haven't received an email from Sony or Nissan yet) Finished 14th in the US, 194th globally.

I would love to join in here to get some practice. I just hope there's enough room for me, lol. Seeing as there's a lot of people also signing up.

PSN ID: Gojet-64

Also wanted to give a shout-out to @Tidgney. His tutorial videos really helped me out at how to take La Source and Pohoun quickly and consistently. My lap was a lot more conservative overall though, it's just my driving style. I found it best to brake slightly earlier, take later apexes, and get on the throttle sooner.

yesterday i've entered the room without announcing here first, sorry. I was surprised by the psn id's i saw there and i really want to try some races with you.
I only finished 47 in UK but racing is a different thing, I don't think I can be in anyone's way.

Dude you're plenty fast. :D

So just had a chat with ISP and also some checks still can't livestream annoyingly... Not in any decent quality so I'm going to just record these races as they happen and just upload! So still pressure guys ;)! Will be on tomorrow, not Thursday as Englands on but Friday for sure :D!

Yea it took ages. 2-3 weeks if I remember. Was so stressful waiting for the email lol. I was checking email every few hours, and would get super excited every time my phone beeped with a new email lol.

Have fun practicing guys! I'd love to join, but I'm just too rusty. Haven't played GT6 since February.... These races are the best of the year though, so I'm jealous :)

I'm a little disappointed. Popped in to race for a bit and the racing was pretty poor. A lot of bumping, improper rules and illegal lines. Remember guys, at national finals the rules they have are very strict, even more so than GTP rules. I'd love to race you guys, but I'm not going to get any experience off of what was basically shuffle room racing.

We need to be more strict. No more randoms in the room, or people the barely or didn't make it to nationals.

Only people that made it to nationals.

The first couple days here are essentially testing the waters/ write-off days.

First order of business is getting together a list of volunteer hosts - requirements: good online connection (doesn't matter where), experience hosting rooms, and at least 16 or so free slots on your friends list.

Once we get the hosts together, we'll start scheduling out race meets/ training sessions. That doesn't mean that we're scheduling a time for one race to happen, but the time at which the racing will start at.

I can host myself, I'll have you guys add my alternate account GTP_Wardez. I'm scheduling my first hosting session for this Friday starting around 3pm Pacific/22 GMT/ 8am Sydney time (AESt).

I made it to nationals but obviously need a lot of work as I'm very new to gt6 and the steering wheel. I should be an easy passing practice. I'm trying to drive the proper lines in spite of what everyone else is driving.

My time would probably be better spent getting to know the tracks and shaving off the 3+ seconds of each lap to keep up with times the leaders are pulling.

Any suggestions on to which tracks I should focus on? probably not enough time to practice all of them, but the ones that would most likely be featured in finals (like the new red bull). I just don't want to make a complete fool of myself at nationals, even if I can't really compete with the rest.

Last year it seemed like it took longer than a week. The wait is killer haha.

Yeah hopefully they speed things up this year
It's a lot less stressful this year knowing ill 4sure be geting an email
From last year cause I was waiting for people to refuse going to nationals
Just so I could maybe slip in

I don't mind hosting! The room will most likely be up at around 11:00am eastern, which is 5:00pm UK time. I'll post the room number etc when the room is up and running anyways.

As well. Might as well get an oil change for each car cause the majority of everyone in the lobbies have already done it.

OP updated!

Ok, so everyone start adding LLOYDZ_ELITE69 and GTP_Wardez. There will be more to add as more hosts step up to the plate, thanks @LLOYDZELITE69 👍

Every one, I made a form on Suveymonkey to easily keep track of every one's best practice times for benchmarking.

Go here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/5GGYRFM

Add times that you see during practice and note down. Key thing: you don't have to be the person that did the time in order to submit it, you can submit other people's times!

Also, remember that I set it up so that people can go back at any time and change their entries, so if you or someone has beaten their previous time, don't submit a new entry, just edit the old one.

I'm also thinking of doing another form for people to punch in the total time of the race, but I'm not sure how useful that'd be, what do you think?

Cheers, this is really getting rolling now.

Not really fair, the cut off points for different countries vary greatly.
