Just talked to TEAMRAD - he is declining the trip and said he responded accordingly. That bumps JasonEx14 into the 28th seat (counting @tguns16 already in as well).

Sorry for the double post :yuck:

Not only does @scca_ziptie have incredible passion for the racing of automobiles...we will be leaving from the same airport if he makes it in, so damn it, sorry folks, but I hope some of the others decline :P

Thanks Cyrus (@SileightyCyrus), I hope we can and I hope I get to meet all you other GTPers in NY. You are absolutely correct in saying that about my passion level for Motorsport. I live it, I breathe it, I sleep it (possible?).

Nissan's #eatsleeepRACErepeat slogan is very much my life!

UPDATE: ig-racing cannot attend national finals in NY. New cutoff goes to BALKANKNIGHT.

Great job man! I just made you the new OP of this thread since Cargo Ratt never updates it. Just clean up that list ( all caps on such a cramped list looks gross) then throw it in the OP.

It'll be very much appreciated! Good luck to you as well man I hope you make it!

Thanks Wardez, will do. Thank you for the good wishes they are very much appreciated!! I can say that if I do make it, as much as I may struggle with the digital driving sometimes, it won't be the case behind a real wheel and will represent GTP to the fullest of my abilities!!!!

To the Canadian drivers who are out there in GTP land, have the top 4 drivers been confirmed yet that you know of? I would like to add them to the OP but I would like to get some confirmation as to the current/adjusted standing (if applicable). Thanks!

OP will updated with current grid list as the information becomes available.

OP UPDATED:

travis453 will be in Germany lapping the Nordschleife and unable to attend the US Finals.

mshelly091 will be unable to attend finals, confirmed.

Hydromatos22 will attend national finals, comfirmed.

@ParkerMO125 will attend national finals. He is also the current cutoff position if all other drivers ahead of him confirm attendance plans.

Almost there man! Keep fingers crossed!

Almost there man! Keep fingers crossed!

This is where the grid positions start to get a little "wonky." Tentatively I sit in 30th spot, with 6 drivers intentions unaccounted for - @ParkerMO125 is technically in 28th position, hydromatos22 has confirmed his intention to go but has not received an email yet, GTSC_Vacanoche has confirmed his intent to go but sits in 29th position if he gets his email it will be quite late, with me following suit and if I end up getting a grid position my email will come very late I imagine.

But I'm ready if I get the nod
Thanks @Neovre !

Yesterday was the deadline to get all of you paperwork and information sent in to your contacts. So, if people didn't meet the deadlines then I would assume there will be more emails going out soon if not today.

I only had two days to get them my info. So hang in there people that are on the bubble.

Here's to hoping people aren't responsible/timely

I will battle to the end, even if I have no control over it!! I am expecting the nationals to be fiercely contended by all parties, regardless of the camaraderie that exists on these forums!

Yup if anyone that already got an email and didn't respond in 2 days you get skipped
Yeah we all get along Over the forms and we all share common goal
But at the end of the day only one person can come out on top will be a battle till the end!

Since you were a finalist last year i have a question. Did you have to bring your console or headset?

@dgriffin28 seems like you haven't seen the tv show of gt academy
How could you have not seen the tv show also it's not all about the virtual side
You will also have to perform in real car on real race track at least that's what we did last year!

Here youtube video of 1st esp from last year

I wonder how many competitors have true expensive gt 6 setups and who's is running a wonky ass setup like my unstable passenger seat on top of books in front of a flimsy computer desk, combined with a single screen that moves about when i turn.

I have seen the the tv show. I hope to make it into a real car that is where I will shine. I have watched all 3 seasons.

+1 for the wonky set up with my steering wheel being at about eye-level. I keep thinking i'm going to go find a seat at a junk yard and use 2x4's to make a rig but haven't gotten around to it yet.

I'd say half of us including me have a decent to fairly nice setup
When you get to nations there setups are nice and use high end t500 wheel so
Some some may not be able to adapt as well as others

I think the T500 wheel is the biggest factor. Adapting to that wheel is much easier for some than others. When I first switched, it took me a week or two before I was as fast with it as I was with my G27. I think practicing with the T500 before the event helped immensely with getting through to Silverstone.

Coming from G27 to T500 sucked at national finals. Steering ratio was sooooo slow and I think I remember the throttle being wonky? Most noticeable in the tuned 370z as I'd be trying to feather the throttle then all of a sudden it would go full throttle and kick the ass end out....maybe I was just driving a like a kook though, totally plausible.

nice good info about the t500 i use a g25. I was injured and pretty faded on vicodin when i ran my fastest lap, go figure. I will be pain free very focused and sober at the finals if i ever get an email.

Yeah coming form dfgt or g25-g27 to t500 can be a lil tricky
But for people who have t500 should do fine :) I owned one for 6months
Then sold it and did fine at nationals :sly:

I'd need to learn driving with one hand to work the T500's paddle shifters. Otherwise, I got used to the wheel relatively fast. Can't comment on the pedals because only my toes could reach them.

I may have to backtrack a bit about not worrying so much about the virtual part of the competition. Last year caught everyone by surprise but now more people have prepared for that portion. If you're not the fastest virtual racer, you better hope that it's back to four person races. That way, settling for second every time may work. It just depends how many virtual aces are in your group.

Injured? What happened? Also when you get your email you will have to go to a pre selected
Dr that will take your blood and pee test and pass to attend nationals just an FYI!!!

just some minor issues i still will pass a physical. dr. gave me a script for vicodin and no longer taking it. im not worried about a drug test with a legal script. I'm am most concerned about the email/phone call.
