If only I hadn't driven off the road in flugplatz on the first lap.. lost two and a half minutes on that.. Held that distance to the leaders most of the race but then lost some in the rain when they got better timed to the pits and didn't have to pit one extra time.

Anyway was a fantastic race and catching up from last to third was great. Most of the drop outs happened after I had passed the guys as well so didn't feel like I got there by others disconnecting. :)

Everyone please get your incident reports to the hosts of your lobby ASAP!!!!! If you don't know what one is the you just need to write what lap you had an incident on and who with

First of all, just to get a mass opinion for the wife, (causing bit of a rift )

Is it acceptable, if daddys 32" hd tv breaks would it be unreasonable to take my 9 year olds 32" hd tv out of his bedroom and replace it with the spare 22"?

also any techys out there know if you lose picture but still got sound is it economical to fix??

That race was crazy. I started 3rd with a 8:04.2(pole was 8:02.0). Held 3rd til Pikey made an error which left me 2nd before he re-passed. I pitted on lap 4 before Plux and after Pikey(who I came out behind of). Caught him and he let me through at the high speed dash mid-way round the lap but he clipped the grass and hit the wall. Plux came out behind me as rain began to fall but he disconnected leaving me with minute over Play. The rain stopped and came back later on and then did the same. Lap 12 I pitted and jonny emerged just a second ahead and he pulled away after having a poor start. Rain began to fall and by lap 14 we needed inters but I closed up in the slippery conditions and passed him and lost it again but then passed him so we pitted together. However he was much faster with the inters and pulled away by around 20seconds before we pitted for slicks. Then on lap 19 more rain came. I was due a pit stop so I mulled over what tyre to put on and at 32% water I pitted for inters. Jonny stayed out in hope that the rain would stop but it didn't. I emerged 53 seconds behind but by the end of the lap I was 80seconds ahead and the track was 60% wet which meant a change to wets. The weather stayed the same with the rain stopping briefly before starting again, it stopped on the last lap but it didn't change anything so I managed to do it by 100secs despite being slower and the inter call is what decided the race.

Tbh that could be a range of things, probably best bet is to have someone look at it, or put the type and problem into google and find a thread to see if it's an easy fix.

As for my response Nin, it was probably a poor choice to stay out, but it was still a very silly accident that cost me so heavily https://new.livestream.com/accounts/6022590/events/2736835
Go to 2h55, I slide into the wall at no more then 20mph and still get engine damage, and then the rest is history.

Thank you to everyone in the room 3. Race with you is a pleasure. For me it was a very good race. No contacts, no damage and only two small mistakes :)
Title "Player of the match" gets GT6 :D "Invisible" on the track the-burre and the absence of tires choice windows on all pit stops.
P5 - the burre - is "empty", but it's there :)

Well, only had 1 quali lap on poor tyres due to trying to get nifty sorted (waste of time) as once he was friended all he got was room full! despite multiple restarts, so i had him on the phone for the first 10 mins of quali, bye the time i realised i may not get a lap in i had to light it up to cross the line in time for a hot lap..lap went ok but tyres were on 7's by the time i finished so an 8.08 for 6th on the grid it was...
The race started good, got the jump on jonny and into 5th then plotnik had a moment and that was me into 4th sitting nice behind Nin, then 2nd lap just shy of the 4th checkpoint had Nins slip into braking zone, got caught in the washout, outbraked myself and boom..major damage...lost a minute and a pit stop and thought thats it...but no, fired on, a few laps later found myself in 3rd with plenty time in hand, pace was bang on, the splits were very close i'd gain a second here and lose a second there but wasn't to fussed as the only difference in time was due to 1 silly mistake...then the rain started, 1st shower was ok as it only got to 13% i think and then dried out, then another silly mistake, heavy damage and another minute plus a pit...up int 5th now pikey and play had got through..then it rained again and i thought possibly another shower so i stayed out on softs until 46% wet, then i thought i better get my inters on,pitted, left pits and the fkn rain was off and the track dried out very quickly so into the bloody pits again for softs, this time niko had me, into 6th i went by this time was over 4mins behind and was just a case of bringing her home....then the god damn rain started again and i though right rain you aint havin me this time stayed on the softs till about 55%,inters were defo needed pit again inters on back out 3 laps to go 4mins in and boom black screen, got sound but no picture...needless to say i wasn't best amused.

But well done to the race winner! 👍 :gtpflag:

race standards were great, enjoyed the racing i did have 3rd 4th 5th 6th were constantly changing, some nice action in there too. so well done to all!

Taking part last night has made my urge for the N24 team even stronger.. I can't wait! :sly:

On another note i have won the argument for the other TV! :sly:

Today made me realize that I'm only getting dc'd during the VLN races. I've been able to run two hour races since gt6 without issue. It's either the Nurb weather change map or someone that I'm racing with as I'm always in lobby 3. I got dc'd in two out of the three races. Couldn't join the second but that was unrelated as it was a router issue. It's been a rather disappointing series for me.

That being said, I quite enjoyed the GTR. Made some stupid mistakes, including in the first lap as I wasn't used to the slower turn in of that car compared to the m3.

Very hard and dramatic race... Memto was like robot (robocop? :)), after some spin, crash, rain, always close, on front or behind my SLS. We changed positions every pit. It wasn't good race for me, after all day work and play with kids after, I was wracked. Only when memto was close I got more energy :) On 19 lap I crashed and memto as well, if its my fault I am sorry. Last 3 laps I cant remember becouse of getting tyred. Anyway grate race, and gongratulation for memto and others.

Ps. Is too many disconections during the race. I wish to will see all teams on finish line on N24, but GT6 is one big surprise. Only what I can suggest to you, that is highly reccomendet using a public room, chat off and one room owner. That things making game more stable. Thanks again :)

My suggestion to the organizers of the races.

1. "Room privacy" - Public /never "Friends only"/
2. "Race Quality" - Recommended
3. "Fixed room ownerschip" - YES

GT6 has the same problems as GT5 and these settings reduce these problems.

Yeah connection problems are ridiculous, nifty was raging...`he still had to buy the car he got online around 7.30 and had to do a couple of races to gt the money for the BM, he done that went to buy and it wasn't there...realised you need to buy the motorsport version first..done that..then get more money to buy the base model (i knew his patience was wearing thin at this point) but he done it its 8.40 by this time..he came into my lounge sent his friend request to gadget got my setup by which time it was time to go to lounge.. a bit of faffing about to get Gadget333 on his friends list then he couldn't find the room..done a reset...found the room but kept saying room full even though he could see there was only 9/12 in the room..another reset, still no joy..Come on PD how hard can it be!!!:banghead:

This is known issue, you need to tell the race host, usually via PSN, that it's happening, then everyone leaves and forms a new room. Seems to be the best, albeit frustrating, work around.

I felt sorry for Nifty not making the start. We always request new drivers get their friends requests with the host sorted at least the day before the race. That way if room joining problems occur during Free Practise it's not such a problem to kill that room and make a new one, but by the time I was made aware of Nifty's problems we were already into the Spec check and running a little late anyway.

Yes, the M3 Base model suffers a glitch meaning that it is not initially visible in the Dealership. The quickest and cheapest fix is to go to Arcade a Mode, start a race using the M3 Base there, abort, and then check back with the dealership and it will be there. Another bug that needs fixing.

For the N24 I think we all need to have a rehearsal at least a week before 22nd Feb with teams using their team name PSNID, running on each teams host PS3 / Internet connection with a nominated host. We can also look into Oldboys suggestion of a public room but my concern with that is we can't afford to have outsiders joining mid race and using comms or chat to distract the drivers

Well done to all those that made it through. As with others, I can't wait for 22nd a Feb :)

Nothing special to report.... star last finish last....

Everything was running god until starts to rain.. then the spins, car smash, pit, always try to avoid the other drivers and finish...

My conclusion of VLN Champioship:

- I´m very happy to get to end and successfully whit some points for the REST Team.

I have to give you credit LordZ, not only do you stick with the races despite getting lapped (Driving in the wet with a controller isn't fun, i know.. i did that last time..), but also for being great at leaving room when people lap you. You have never caused any incidents that I know of. :)

Looking forward to seeing you in the N24 and to see you driving with a wheel instead of a controller (You did say that you would do that in the N24 right? ) :)

I think that's better than disconnection, invisible driver and the disappearing choice window etc. :) The final race host should try that room settings and compare whether it is better.

Less than 20 days left then.. Tickets are booked and schedules are cleared. What will everyone do in the weeks ahead of the race? Any official practises planned or will everyone go back to their factories and try to find that last bit in secrecy before the race? ;)

I am sure Matt will run some mid week practises, but like I said earlier, I think it would be useful to have a practise with each team host driving the team cars to check internet connections and anything else that we might not have picked up while racing in our individual cars.

On that note, to @Glenalz81 please can Reaper Racing confirm their Team PSN ID has been created, and that that you have bought/tuned/tyred your BMW ready for the race please

That is a option but as gadget said there's gonna be tons of people going in and out ( especially where n24 is so popular ) so let's say 20 people an hour that's give us 480 messages " me. Driver joined the room " plus another 480 " mr. Driver left the room. 960 messages!! And now if stewards want to contact someone via message box, after 500 messages you don't really concentrate on them anymore or you will not call other member from your team to check that again.

1. It was my understanding that for the N24, every member of a team will be in the same building as their teammates. Therefore, if we keep the room to "Friends only" you won't be getting a whole bunch of people joining and leaving, and not nearly as many messages in the message box that would be distracting to the drivers.

2. I agree with Recommended as long as the race quality isn't too low. Drivers need enough race quality to race side by side but not too much race quality because that would increase the possibility of disconnections

3. I strongly disagree with fixed room ownership being set to "yes". The reasoning being that if the host gets disconnected, the racing action stops completely and the room would have to be recreated and everyone would have to rejoin.

This is my thoughts as well

Also if everyone clears out their "Systems cache" in options before entering a room. (Better just to do it every time you turn on the PS). This also helps room connection as well.
