Due to what is becoming a very apparent lack of interest, the LMP1 Class has been dropped. LMP2 and LMGTE will now be the only classes racing in this series.

I would like to propose the following:
  1. Tuning option for the LMP-2 category. I understand with LMP-1 involved how the non-tune division was a good idea but now that there's only one prototype class, I think that the tuning should be opened up so the drivers of that category can showcase a complete understanding of racecraft, which involves being able to set up a car. It's also more realistic, even the LMP-C category in the IMSA championship has suspension tuning available to the teams, because different track require different setups for safety's sake.
  2. Maybe a test day it two before round one so we can all get together, verify the BoP of the LM GTE class, and learn each other's way of racing so we have a better understanding of who we are going up against in a battle.

My responses after three cups of coffee.
1) I have no intention of opening up tuning to the LMP2 Class. Part of what killed the GT500s in Super GT is the politicking by a handful and the absolute stupidity that followed it. Lesson learned. I want LMP2 to be just as competitive as LMGTE, and the only way I can do that is by saying "you can't tune". And in real life, the LMP2 car wouldn't handle like a dream everywhere you drive it anyways, so tuning isn't essential to it. It's a option, and one that will kill the class because of who will be in it. Remove the disparity, increase the competition. Let's see who can drive versus who can tune.
2) I am planning on at least 1 test day the weekend before the first event. That is all relative to my college and work schedule at the moment. I haven't updated the OP entirely yet, as some testing has already been done, but anything beyond the official test day will be up to everyone else.

An official test day has been added to the calendar for October 17th. All signed up drivers are expected to run at least 10 laps during the event unless a legitimately serious reason prevents that.

I'll hopefully be there, although I hope those GTE regs are changed before this starts.

They definitely will be. Already working on them.

Why are @GTRacer22 with Corvette Racing and @trobes29 with Ford Racing? Why isn't my car listed as "Mclaren MP4-12C '10 (HRSC Racing)"?
Why is GTRacer22 a part of Corvette Racing? Because he wanted to.
Why is trobes29 a part of Ford Racing? Because he wanted to.
Why haven't I listed your car correctly? Because I don't have the brain cells to remember your confusing team acronym.

Hope those answers work.

Sorry, I didn't mean to disrespect you. I already had spotted this around 2 days ago.

It wasn't disrespect. It's just me sorting through about three notebooks of paperwork for everything.

My saturdays are always busy, plus another series and the lenght of the races, I will probably miss all the events, but I would like to join as a reserve just in case.
Ferrari, #26 👍

I'm in. Can't really stand GT racing on GT6 unless its with GT3 cars so LMP2 for me.

Question about LMGTE wings: Can they be painted (a different color than the body)?

For me it didn't work. It said my wing (the one that meets regs) still needed to be custom.
Hooray for PD

@Whitetail I figured it was the road course, but just making sure Angel didn't go nas1400 mode and it was on the oval

The OP says we can make our wings 'Custom Rear Wings', instead of using the 'Option D' wing from before. They just have to stay at 0 height and 0 width. So yours should paintable...

I know those aren't the stock values but I just had to showcase it.

Horray for custom wings! :D
Edit: Changed to 0 height 0 width.

Oh... I had not noticed the change in wing regs. It was the Generic Wing before, but thanks for pointing that out :P
