Elevates Wehrlein to a dizzying 11th place. Hopefully he can get lucky and grab some points.
 
That method for grid penalties is typical FIA, not well thought out. If a driver is ending up with a 4-place drop from a 5-place penalty surely alarm bells must be ringing something isn't quite right.

He must have cut it on something. The low temperatures have increased the durability of the tyres, and the right-rear takes very little load. I can't imagine that this is just wear and tear.

This isn't the first time a Pirelli tire has just let go.

I'm watching several replays on the Vettel incident, both outside and onboard cam, the roads seems clear. The rear just gave up all of sudden. He drove 25/26 laps on the tire ?

26 or so race laps, plus 4 quali or so.

If the tire reached end of life one would expect vettel to have no traction under acceleration but he seemed to have no issues and then boom.

I think he should try to join Porsche and the WEC. Just like Webber did it.
I don't really see a successful future for him in F1.

Last time - Vettel at Spa - was a result of the tyre getting cut because he kept running beyond the track limits.

Seems he hasn't learnt his lesson.
 
It's really hard to work out which driver Ted Kravitz prefers. He's always so partisan in his thoughts you just can't tell.
 
Oh, shut up, Ted. Rosberg doesn't owe Hamilton anything just because he made his strategy work when Hamilton didn't.
