2016 Formula 1 Großer Preis von Österreich

That method for grid penalties is typical FIA, not well thought out. If a driver is ending up with a 4-place drop from a 5-place penalty surely alarm bells must be ringing something isn't quite right.

DRS Enabled, watch Button drop like a rock now... :(

Nooo!! Button down to third... now to fourth....

Magnussen really needs to sort his race-craft, not the first time he has weaved all over the place.

Vettel not going to be happy with that.

He must have cut it on something. The low temperatures have increased the durability of the tyres, and the right-rear takes very little load. I can't imagine that this is just wear and tear.

I'm watching several replays on the Vettel incident, both outside and onboard cam, the roads seems clear. The rear just gave up all of sudden. He drove 25/26 laps on the tire ?

26 or so race laps, plus 4 quali or so.

If the tire reached end of life one would expect vettel to have no traction under acceleration but he seemed to have no issues and then boom.
