I bought the stream for the first time last year and will do again this year. Makes it easy to simply have it on all day - watch as I can. When I'm not watching it, I'll be listening to it, etc.

I really wish Ford had a more interesting/better colour scheme - the colour bands are boring too. Shame.

The only gripe I developed with it is the fact that the Radio Le Mans guys are forbid to commentated the race. And the last years guys were not quite as good.

Pretty sure it's the radio Le Mans guys are the ones who commentate on it, the Only ones that are different are the Eurosport ones.

Well, every WEC round is attended by John Hindhaugh and Graham Goodwin, but Le Mans (probably because some exclusivity deal or something). I don't know if the guys they've used last year are Radio Le Mans comentators as well, but they were very distracted all the way and they didn't provide any good information following up the events on track.

Just checked with a mate it was Bob Constanduros, Gilles Dawson, Mark James and Peter Dumbreck

Which WEC championship have you been watching this year? As I don't think it's the one everyone else has.
Well, I know they're not the absolute beasts that they were in the Group C era nor the 2000s but c'mon, give them a tip of the hat, they're working as hard to get the cars as fast as possible and you have to admit that last year the fastest lap around La Sarthe was set so yeah they're really refined in my eyes:cheers::dopey:

But they keep breaking down?

And in other news 7 days till travel day!

Ford must be laughing their heads off. 1,2,3,4 one hour in is my guess. A really impressive case of sandbagging. :lol:

Yeah this'll be interesting to see how it all plays out...Looks like the Aston Martin must really be hurting if they're giving it a heapload of benefits.

Not hurting for top speed... did 302kmh vs the next best (Porsche) 298kmh. Maybe why they dropped the restrictor size?

Thanks to Graham Goodwin for ranting about this enough to get the FIA to finally notice.

The Clarification of the Committee reads as follows:

“Any bodywork element stored in front of the car will be considered as an obstruction to the visibility inside the garage unless it is stored flat on the ground and does not hide totally or partially the race car inside the garage.

“Anybody staying in front of the car when it is inside the garage is considered as an obstruction to the visibility inside the garage unless he has to work on the car. A line of people in front of the car is strictly prohibited.”

10.8.8. Access to the garage:

During practice and the race:

  • The pit shutter (on the track side) must remain completely open;
  • Visibility towards the inside of the garage must remain free of any obstruction of any kind whatsoever (bodywork parts, covers, piles of tyres, trolleys, etc.);
  • Officials must have free access to the inside of the garage.
Penalty: at the Stewards’ discretion.

Except every single advantage you gain on Les Hunaudières is easily countered through the Porsche curves.
The AF Corse Ferrari's will still finish 1-2 in GT Pro.
Easy.

Not easy to pass in those turns, especially with traffic. So if the Aston is ahead on the straight it could be a road block through there.

I added Le mans 2016 purchase to the WEC Android app and it hasn't added it to my list of subscriptions. I'm getting well and truly sick of this now. I've emailed them about it (politely) but no fix. :banghead:

I've experienced this as well, but it recognizes my full season + Le Mans subscription now. Every year they update the WEC app to the 24H Le Mans moniker couple weeks before the race and this bugs happens. They'll never learn, I gave up.

I'm a bit late to the party but, thankfully, not too late. Really hoping to rejoin the usual 24 hours of live chat with all you guys while we watch and discuss the most important race of the year!

I'm a bit off my WEC feed and way behind on my reading. Any important headlines I should be aware about besides Audi taking top spot at the tests and Kamui :censored:ing Kobayashi joining the Toyota squad?

The hybrid-powered LMP1s have been struck by poor reliability so far this season, so much so that if they were in the Manufacturers' Championship, Rebellion would be leading it! :lol:

Rebellion have a legitimate shot at winning this. If the manufacturers don't pull some old school tactics to increase reliability (if they haven't been able to find the problems), one of the non-hybrids shall be victorious! :D

My massive poncho arrived today I'm 100% ready for any weather Le Mans throws at me now! 2 more days at work then I'll be off...

Very wise I'm sure you've had enough practice! These last two days are going to drag so badly, always the worst bit for me
Just abit :lol:

One of my mates is considering driving his race car across (it's insured as a "rally car") then do the Nurburgring on the way home, have to say it is tempting.

Also another good old video to get people in the mood
