In what sense? I mean the cars are built to the spec of the sport, and fit in with that. If teams like Porsche, Aston, and Chevy don't have a V8 tt or V6tt why should they go back and spend tons of money R&D wise to do it. It's quite the cop out to say "they just built a better car" when realistically in the real world the GT isn't anywhere near a Z06, 911 turbo or V8 Vantage... The 488 might be.

They brought a car that fit the rules, and what failed them was that the ACO some how forgot how to BoP NA vs Turbo. When they've done it for years at the very top of the ladder. So does this mean that Chevy should be allowed to bring a Supercharger next year, and Porsche a tt inline six mid mounted? And what happens when they go unreasoanblly fast after not seeming so, would you say the same thing? Cause I wouldn't I'd be mad if my team deviated from what I've seen them do for year after year which is go out there show what they have and race hard to win.

Ferrari, not surprised by this, they pull this crap everywhere they go. Ford I expected better.
This, much this. 👍

The dream lemans race: Tracy Krohn, Vadim Kogay,Pator Maldonado, Pegasus Racing all in Ferraris :P
It wouldn't finish, they'd all wreck the first corner.

That female racing driver is the prettiest thing I've seen this race. Too bad we see so few of them :indiff:

I can't make my mind about her. She looks cute in some angles, but looks awful in others. You should look for Christine Nielsen, driving the #60 Ferrari in GTE-AM, she's very good looking! And I agree, I love women in motorsports! Boring gender equality discussions aside, they are just spectacular to behold!

Last hour already :(
A whole year you keep waiting for the race, getting more and more excited with each week that passes and then when the race is finally here - poof - it's already over again and you have to wait for next year again :guilty:

Still got Spa 24, luckily. Not as great as Le Mans maybe, but still a fantastic track and race.

Oh c'mon, Chevy has never gamed the system...you are delusional. Arguing for better racing through rules & regs and enforcement is one thing, but fanboyism is another all together...that is what I expect better than.

The Porsche is eating the Toyota. Every time I take peek at the live timing page the gap has dminished three or four seconds. The ending to this is gonna be close.

Luckily there's more than one exciting WEC race per year. :D

Both, the Spa 24H and Nürburgring 24H, leave me completely uninterested each year. Really don't know why. Le Mans is just my highlight of the year. There's nothing that I get more hyped and nervous about. A Formula 1 race honestly feels for me longer than the 24H of Le Mans while watching.

RTs appreciated. Whilst I think most of us have been listening to RLM synced to video, wouldn't it be better if we didn't have to!

They should just hire RLM to do the commentary of the official WEC stream. RLM should keep it's free audio transmission and, if you pay, you get the official WEC stream with the audio.

(I'd RT, whatever that is, but I don't use Twitter)

Where do I say they don't game the rules and this bs of "fanboyism, get off your damn high horse for one, before you throw around this trash talk. What Chevy do and what Porsche do from my many years of watch Le Mans and Sport Car racing is show what speed they had. Chevy had no problem topping the chart in pre-LM testing and they knew full well that if this happened they would be BoP'd and that wasn't an issue.

What becomes and issue is when two teams know full and well that there is a mountain of data on the their competitors and then game the system cause there is no data on them. Now if you want to debate the sport let's go for that, if you want to attack me, you might as well just not bother saying anything.

I guess it's the atmosphere that plays a major role at Le Mans. Something easy to sense but somehow hard to explain.

If the 911's and Corvettes were dominant, I wouldn't be complaining. Then it would be up to Ford and Ferrari to make a better car. Why should I receive a penalty when I've made my homework better than you?

Again, because you're NOT supposed to do your homework that much better than me. That's not the name of the game, that's not what the ACO wants. They don't want anybody dominating because then it'd just spiral out of control and implode like it happend in the 90s with the McLaren F1s, 911 GT1s, CLK-GTRs, TS020s, etc.

We can like it or dislike it, but that's the way it is.

From my 45+ years of watching racing every team plays the game every which way they can so I am done arguing, I am going to watch the rest of the race...have a nice day :)
