2016 Mazda2 | Mazdaspeed2 being considered?

I love the new interior! Exterior is so-so in my opinion. If they sell it here, I might trade my 2012 in...

Edit: I really have to emphasize how much I like the new interior. I think the design is as good or better than any car currently in production. Beautifully and elegantly restrained, but not minimalistic at all. Just look at it!

Alfa influence in those wheels. :) looks grown up. The previous Genki 2 is sporty. We'll see how it looks in Spirited Green with a sports package. Im digging the white interior.

Should look good in Super Taikyu race mode. 👍

Looks like someone took a MiTo and welded a Mazda 6 front and a Seat Ibiza rear on it. Looks neat 👍 supermini's are getting more and more bankers looking.

I feel like the headlights and foglights didn't make the transition very well.

It still has aughties tech. It's a nice design but is miles behind the 3 and now 2 as far as functionality.

Stunning little car, hopefully it will be my first new car purchase in 2016! :D

Well this makes the Fiesta look cheap and nasty.
I saw a brand new White Fiesta ST yesterday. I wasn't impressed. If it was an S2000 Fiesta, maybe.
A B-spec Mazda2 should be a favorite with the new Jazz(Fit) hat has just come out down here.

Just curious, that's all. Everyone is riding the FOST/FIST train.
I'm looking to pick up another Mazda myself so I can see why you guys would choose the 2.

Curious on how the Mazdaspeed 2 is going to perform. The Fiesta ST sure (and especially the Polo GTI) are some serious competition, but I'm confident that Mazda is going to pull this off, or at least I hope they do.

I chose a 2 over every subcompact on the market, and this new car looks considerably more refined. Nearly everything about the 2 feels special or thought out. Things matter to the engineers at Mazda, and something needs to be said for that. I'm in the same boat with Keef. Mazda just does it better, for me. That's why I own two of them. :)

Depending on the price and whether it gets 4 wheel disc brakes, I might think about trading my 2011 3 for it. That was all that held me back from getting a 2 the first time. Mazda builds cars for the people that love driving. That is what sets them apart from the Toyotas and Nissans of the world.

That 2 sedan would make a cool little track car. Can someone Photoshop some Minilites and lower it? Preferably in metallic green w/silver wheels. Or matte army green. :) thanks

Minilites
Eww. Japanese car = Watanabes.

Also, that sedan is cute as a button. Not a hint of ugly like all the other tiny compact sedans. The Fiesta is one that's particularly hideous in sedan form.

I much prefer the hatch because hatch, but I agree it doesn't look bad at all. They also somehow made the trunk opening properly large.

Yeah, those particular ones are closer to a mesh than watanabes/minilites. But put some old school deep dish/lipped wheels on that 2sedan, is what I want to see :)

Had a look at the new 2 in a public car park white with black factory wheels. Narrow and high. From the rear it's almost Kia Rio looking.
