Good news for all of you is... this weekend is the ESPN/ABC finale of IndyCar coverage in 2016. Everything else after Detroit is on the NBC networks after tomorrow's coverage.

latest

Pagenaud on pole for today's race.

Rossi was putting in a pretty solid lap and then Marco had to go and be an Andretti not named Mario and 🤬 it all up for everyone.

Remember that today is not only the back end of the Dual in Detroit, but also the ESPN/ABC finale of the 2016 season. All coverage after today's race will be on the NBC networks and covered by the likes of Leigh Diffey, Rick Allen, and folks like that. With that said, good luck to all drivers and teams competing today up in MoTown.

One more band of showers is coming toward Belle Isle and should/could arrive right around when the TV broadcast starts. It does appear to be weakening so it could be nothing more than a sprinkle.

EDIT: Just saw Will Buxton's periscope from pit lane and the sun is out and the rain is gone.

Shame this isn't on NBCSN because Will could actually be doing proper work instead of, well, ABC doing "work".

Rossi with a broken piece on the front wing.

Contact between Kimball and Newgarden.

Either I haven't noticed it, or there's been no Indy 500 mentions yet...
Not yet. But the silly comments like "there's only one winner per weekend" get on my nerves.

Montoya binned it.
