Prost said in an interview that he was just back from the RB motorhome to apologize in the name of Renault to RB and Max Verstappen.

In its interview, Perez played it low profile.

Where is this not possible? Because if this is a general not possible, I can show you quali from yesterday proving it is.
? It can also be a political correct answer by the team/Renault to turn the heat off the moment? I'm afraid we will never know the real answer. Maybe Max pushes his material over the max although he said earlier that a car he is driving feels like a second skin. He is the best of all for example with ture management. But with that said you also have to take care of your skin :)

True it could be but good look at people believing that, when you have Ferrari and Mercedes drivers running in a less stressed engine mode when they have a large advantage. Or when a Honda engine went foul because the driver was doing things it deemed weren't possible prior. I don't know Max is young and perhaps hasn't realized their is some fault with himself to look at, and just is too confident to see it that way.

However, it would be nice for him to get what he should in a race based on where he starts, rather than a DNF. Also would save my prediction points quite a bit.

Alonso should move to Renault. They are the 4th best team now, I think they've overtaken Force India, and they need two reliable drivers to show it. Renault are only going to get better, and the sooner Palmer performs consistently terribly the better, so they can shove someone else in.

I wouldn't be surprised if Force India suspends one of their drivers for a race soon. This is getting ridiculous, Perez must be skating on thin ice.

Personally I think Perez is one of the better drivers on the grid, but that stunt on the run down to Eau Rouge later in the race was not on whatsoever.

The incident on the first lap was just that, a racing incident, but when your team-mate (or anybody, for that matter) pulls alongside at that speed, especially with a solid wall on the other side... that either smacks of a disturbing lack of awareness or a cold-blooded ruthlessness in that he expected Ocon to back out of it before he got squeezed completely.

Good race, Force India have some big problems.

The rest of the season will be very close between Hamilton and Vettel.

My driver of the day is Stoffel Vandoorne, amazing drive to make up 51 places to 14th!

Perez has shown time and time again whether on a teammate or otherwise, that when pressured from behind he becomes increasingly dangerously stubborn. Fact.

Perez Interview with Will Buxton, just some important parts.

"...probably Esteban was a bit too optimistic there because there was no room for him to go there, he had the whole straight to do the move. I think we midjudged a bit, both of us..." Then Will Buxton asks if he saw Ocon on the right in his mirrors. Perez had this to say, "Yea, I saw him. I saw that he was there, but obviously... many drivers, they protect the line and it's what I did. I protect my line, there was no room for him to go anywhere..."

-Yea, no room because you didn't leave him any.
-You saw him in the mirrors and consciously decided to squeeze him.
-Protect your line? You changed your line.

How come the F1Interviews YouTube page is doing a 4 in 1 duplicate screen thing now? Copyright issues?

Since I didn't notice any other posts mentioning it, I'm still wondering what the heck that Press guy told Vettel in the Podium room. What made him change his mood to upset so quickly? You guys noticed that, right?

Daddy Jos just gave an interview. "it is not the right moment now to ask if Max thinks to moving to another team next year".
Also Jos said this is not acceptable from a top team. Almost becoming a joke

SSDY...

Think of all the mechanical woes Webber endured. I see the same pattern here. Red Bull as a team has never fully won me over as a fan. It just seems they make sacrifices in all the wrong places and are more whiney than Hamilton.

First (true?) news facts about Max' car failure come in --> it looks like a problem with a single spark plug and then the software decides to go into failsave mode and turns off the engine automatically. Too safe from Renault?

I don't. He is getting more and more out-paced by his rookie teammate with every race. And when the pressure gets to him, he shows us that he is not worthy of a top-tier car. I cannot believe Force India haven't taken action earlier in the season against both of them. They have already lost far too many constructor points.

And I also do not understand why Palmer is still in that second Renault. Hulkenberg has yet again proven today that Renault should be up there with Force India in the constructor standings.

Not surprised in the age of engine quantity limits & grid-spot penalties.

Lewis will win the title imo, the car has way too much qualifying advantage and basically requires some team foul play to allow vettel to get ahead in the race it seems equal though but it's much harder to pass.

I'm not getting my hopes up. His luck hasn't been so great, historically. What will probably happen is he matches Vettel or pulls out a few points ahead, and then a mechanical failure takes him out at the next race and it's Vettel's championship again.

Because of what, what historic examples are there for this? A team not doing their job in 2012, nope Merc are probably the most quality team on the grid right now. 2016 Mechanical issues? Nope those started very early in the season, and he hasn't had anything close to that. Also Mercedes are currently sitting better with allotted parts than any other team.

It will probably just depend on how many points Merc lose at Singapore, Ferrari should be the quickest there but if RBR are quicker then Merc it can be trouble.

Ferrari have the better Chassis imo but the Mercedes power unit is solidly the best.

perez is looking worse as this season goes on, seemed to me like he stopped ocon from having a go at a podium in canada, cut across him between turns 1 and 2 (i think) in baku, and today he hits him again. tbh it just seems like he's getting exposed by ocon as a mediocre driver and can't keep him behind.

also i know palmer isn't one of the better drivers on the grid, but give him a break he's had some horrible luck this season. reckon he'll get replaced with kubica if possible, maybe alonso but idk what renault's opinion is on paying him 40 odd million euros a year.

I don't see Alonso going to an engine that's about as unreliable as the one he's got now. I think it'll be Williams for him... maybe even Perez's seat at FIF1*? :D

*I made this up. But if it happens... you heard it here first.

honestly i'd love to see him in a top car just because i think he'd wipe the floor with everyone else lmao, could easily see him calling it quits aswell and going back to indy 500 and trying le mans

Further to what I said: McLaren seem likely to take a Renault engine if they split with Honda. Hmmm, that turns things on their head a little.
