These seems like a lock to me. http://www.racer.com/imsa/item/143605-albuquerque-draws-interest-from-action-express
Nooo. Hate to hear this. I aways liked Stevenson.
What the suck? And they just reunited with Chevy AND got their backing. A: Who's going to carry the flag for the Camaro GT4? B: Something is fishy here. Teams don't just roll over and die like that all of the sudden unless it's a Scott Tucker type scenario.
Stevenson will do one last race at Petite Le Mans, their last race ever as a team.

Go out there and win Petite Le Mans boys.

Now I'm not 100% on the costs at the moment, but would it be feasible to have a P and GTLM only set of races at Mexico and Silverstone? Just throwing it out there after the WEC's recent schedule release. The ALMS in the early years used to head over to England, and I was just wondering if it could have any potential with the WSCC now? I know the GTD teams would probably not like another round let alone 2 added to the schedule, but perhaps the factory teams of the series could do it? Mexico is much closer and is probably more realistic as an addition.
Just a bit of ramble on an off weekend for the WSCC.![]()
I forgot about COTA being dropped, would really like to see that then. The ELMS will most likely absorb the Silverstone event if its feasible. Though it will retain the 4hr event there.
Though theres no reason why IMSA couldnt go to Mexico. Given that the COTA round has been dropped.

As for Silverstone you're probably right, though don't they (ELMS) already do a 12 hour event on the weekend of the 6 hour?
Maybe that was part of the deal to go back to Sebring. Also kind of shocked that the FIA/ACO is working with them on this. Did not see that bit of this whole thing happening at all.
May have been. "Save our North American P2 and we will save your series in return."Maybe that was part of the deal to go back to Sebring.![]()
Hey remember the Project Libra guys? No? Well, they are back in 2018, and with Transformers/Hasbro as sponsors, possibly with a Dallara chassis :http://sportscar365.com/imsa/iwsc/dawson-returns-planning-lmp2-effort-with-transformers-sponsorship/
Also this was their last project in 2013: Radical SR9 Ford

Not really test, more like they just got an off the shelf 3.2 Twin-Turbo Ecoboost V6 from Roush for the project, then put it in a 6-8 year old LMP2 chassis. It was pretty much an independent effort, with no feedback or support from Ford directly. They had been doing the project from 2012-13/14, and performed so badly in the ~5 races they did enter, they would finish behind LMPC and GT3 Cup guys.Ah, so that's who they were. Weren't they also testing a Ford V6 in this as well?
