Texans at Ravens TONIGHT!

This an AFC night of Monday Night Football. We got the Houston Texans of the AFC South going against the Baltimore Ravens of the AFC North. So South meets North tonight. More like South meets North while playing in the South. Anyhow, both teams have mediocre records and are doing what they can to remain relevant. The Texans are 4-6 overall and 3rd in the AFC South. Injuries have stung the Texans hard and have little hope of maintaining playoff hopes, even as an AFC Wild Card contender. The Baltimore Ravens are 5-5 on the season and 2nd in the AFC North. From what I heard, the Texans have NEVER won at Baltimore. Houston hopes to change that with a win tonight. So who will come out on top in Baltimore? We shall find out!

--- ODDS ---
Favored: Baltimore by 7.5
Over/Under: 38.5 pts.

Enjoy the game if you will be watching!

Some saying The Vikings could be the very first team to play in the Superbowl at home.
Just what we need so only one other teams fans would come in instead of 2.

If the Eagles weren't so good this year, I'd say those saying that would be right. However, I really don't think the Vikings can beat the Eagles, assuming they both make it to a point in the playoffs where they'd play each other. I could see the Rams causing an issue on their road to the Superbowl too.

The idea that Eagles/Jags is a feasible Super Bowl matchup is making me giggly.

Most likely it'll be Eagles/Pats II: Electric Boogaloo or Eagles/Steelers.

There's a lot of real contenders in the NFC, and like two in the AFC.

Hoping for a Ravens loss so the Bills can have a 1 game lead on them. The Bills overcame an 8.5 spread, so I don't see why the Texans can't overcome a 7.5.

23-16, Baltimore Ravens. I hate to say it, but it may be time to follow the Rockets if you're a Houston sports fan. The Houston Texans don't seem to be going anywhere this 2017 NFL season after a sad experience. A pathetic intercepted pass basically sealed the deal for the Ravens. Houston could have had a chance to win. Not a good night in Baltimore if you're a Texans fan. Awful year for the Texans, but at least this season is worse than the 2-14 seasons we've had before.

Up next for the Texans- at Tennessee next Sunday. Congratulations to all winners from this week- including SecretAgentZero's Ravens.

As the calendar goes from November to December, it is time to up the playoff intensity. Here is a standings update heading into this upcoming week of NFL Football...

--- AFC ---
EAST: New England (9-2), BUF (6-5), NYJ and MIA (4-7 each)
WEST: Kansas City (6-5), LAC and OAK (5-6 each, DEN (3-8)
NORTH: Pittsburgh (9-2), BAL (6-5), CIN (5-6), CLE (0-11)
SOUTH: Tennessee and Jacksonville (7-4 each), HOU (4-7), IND (3-8)

--- NFC ---
EAST: Philadelphia (10-1), DAL and WAS (5-6 each), NYG (2-9)
WEST: Los Angeles Rams (8-3), SEA (7-4), ARI (5-6), SF (1-10)
NORTH: Minnesota (9-2), DET (6-5), GB (5-6), CHI (3-8)
SOUTH: New Orleans and Carolina (8-3 each), ATL (7-4), TB (4-7)

Nobody has clinched anything, and I don't think a team has officially been eliminated (except maybe Cleveland and San Francisco). So there's still hope to make the playoffs whether for Division or for the Wild Card. Keep on pushing!

Now on to this week. We are in Week 13 of 17. Will it be a lucky or unlucky 13? Here are some of the more interesting matches this week:

THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL WK. 13: WAS Redskins at DAL Cowboys
SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL WK. 13: PHI Eagles SEA Seahawks
MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL WK. 13: PIT Steelers at CIN Bengals

Maybe Dolph Dragon and Eva's Cincinnati Bengals can take down the Steelers, but the Bengals can be like my Texans often times- not ready for prime time. But we'll see how these (and other) games go.

Enjoy Week 13!

Totally gutted that Eli chose not to start this week. Good news is Rivers can't catch Eli's streak until week 1 of 2019.

Eli deserved more respect than that. McAdoo just ruined any shot he had to stay in the league.

"Geno Smith gives us the best chance to win." If you're that good at lying to yourself, then you chose the wrong career path.

The woeful 2017 Houston Texans got even more woeful, failing 24-13 at the Tennessee Titans. I almost just want this mess of a season to end even if the Texans get stuck on four wins on the season on out. Damned shame for Houston's NFL team. Texans and Titans are rivals, and both teams had good times jawing at each other. At least the Texans were hopeful they could go into Tennessee and win. But at this point, we might as well just mail it in and make all kinds of adjustments for the 2018 season.

Up next... we're hosting the two-win San Francisco Giants next Sunday. We'll probably find a way (or more) f:censored: up this one too. Remaining HOU schedule (including next game): San Francisco, at Jacksonville, Pittsburgh, and at Indianapolis.

Anyhow, congratulations to all other winners this week.

Steelers at Bengals TONIGHT!

We got the AFC North in vogue and on display tonight. The boys from the Steel City will pay a visit to southwestern Ohio. GTPlaneteers Dolph Drago and Eva are hoping the Bengals take down the Steelers. After all, ANYTHING can happen in any NFL game. Pittsburgh is the AFC North leader at 9-2, and Cincinnati is 3rd in the AFC North at 5-6. Usually, prime time and Cincinnati Bengals don't go together too well. But who will take tonight's game?

--- ODDS ---
Favored: PIT by 4
Over/Under: 43 pts.

Enjoy tonight's game if you will be watching!

Somehow, my Raiders are still in the hunt. I hate what the Giants did to Eli, but I think that helped us to get another W.

However, I have no hope in this squad. The offense is still anemic, and the defense is still bad. Much work needs to be done in the offseason.

Lions won't be making the playoffs. Hell, they'll be lucky to go .500 this year with how bad they are playing.

Same goes for the Bills. The Bills had a wide open opportunity to score first to go up 7-0...Tyrod literally had half the field to run for a touchdown, but he sat in the pocket, took the slightest bit of contact, and threw an absolute duck.

If I was smart, I'd just record the game and watch it later if the Bengals somehow pulled off a miracle win. Instead I'm subjecting myself to the misery of watching a prime time game against the Steelers like an idiot.

Pacman picks off Roethlisberger on the first drive, promptly gets hurt...seems about right.

Well that was a surprising 1st half. Naturally a penalty near the end of the half allowed the Steelers to get on the board. At least it was only for 3. Bengals up 17-3.

Of course, the Bengals are notorious for not making 2nd half adjustments while the opponent does. We'll see if they blow the lead.

Edit: And that does it. Bengals score a whopping 3 points in the 2nd half and lose on a field goal as time expires. No surprise here.

That game was one of the worst games I've watched in a long time. Absolutely terrible game.

Ryan Shazier's injury was awful. I think its safe to say that everyone is waiting for an update on him. The way he rolled over didn't look good at all.

Then after that, Vontaze Burfict got drilled by a cheap shot in the same game that someone got rushed to the hospital in. I got a feeling that New York is going to be hading out a ton of fines and suspending a ton of players from both Pittsburgh and Cincy because that game was bad even for a divisional rivalry game.

That game is the reason Cincy still has primetime games unfortunately. They know our rivalry creates a massive buzz.

So... how did you like the Pittsburgh Steelers winning 23-20 at the Cincinnati Bengals? Yeah, not a good night in southwestern Ohio if you're fan of the felines from Cincy. Got a lot of ground to cover, so let me get started.

Would you like to assess your team(s) or some other team? I'll do my assessment here.

The 2017 Houston Texans would be a much better team if not riddled with injuries. We got quite the MASH unit of banged up players. J.J. Watt. Whitney Mercilus. Deshaun Watson. D'onta Foreman. We might as well pull up Practice Squad players or look for any available free agents. Also, controversial words from our team owner earlier this season ("...inmates running the asylum"...) aren't making things better. Maybe the Texans' losing ways are a good thing, as this will help the Texans learn to play better and maybe try to tackle better. Despite our woes, JaDeveon Clowney has been solid on defense. DeAndre Hopkins has been incredible on offense. Hopkins is borderline Andre Johnson 2.0 for the Texans. Considering the Texans' futility, I am not in any way confident we may win another game. Best case is that we win all of our remaining games and look forward to the NFL Draft. Worst case is that we finish the way the 2002 (inaugural) season Texans finished- 4-12. You can game plan for a season, but you can't game plan injuries. Worst of all, Deshaun Watson torn his ACL a day after my Houston Astros of Major League Baseball won the 2017 World Series. The Texans would be in a bit better place had it not been for these woes.

Elsewhere, the New York Giants need all the help they can get. What do you do, Ben McAdoo? Well... many things. Many BAD things. So for the Giants to move on and try to get better, ANYTHING to help them out is a positive. NYG is 2-10 on the season currently and dead last in the NFC East.

Interesting matches this week:

* THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL WK. 14: NO Saints at ATL Falcons
* SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL WK. 14: BAL Ravens at PIT Steelers
* MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL WK. 14: NE Patriots at MIA Dolphins

So we got plenty of Divisional matches. Respectively: NFC South, AFC North, and AFC East.

Enjoy this week's games and good luck to all of your favorite teams.

Reese is out. There is a God.

I want to know whose idea it was to bench my QB.

Jerome

Peyton. Doesn't want him to go for a 3rd Super Bowl. Or Favre. Favre probably thought Eli would play until his early 40s and break his consecutive game streak.

If you love Roger Goodell, good news- he ain't going nowhere! He signed a $200M USD deal to remain commissioner of the National Football League. So get used to Roger Goodell if you loathe him.

I knew we'd f:censored: up against San Francisco, and it happened. 26-16 was the margin of victory for the San Francisco 49ers as the star-crossed 2017 Houston Texans become even more star-crossed. Tom Savage had to leave the game with a concussion protocol. So T.J. Yates had to come in. We're at Jacksonville next Sunday afternoon.

Elsewhere...

The Cleveland Browns had the Green Bay Packers on the ropes. But then... the Packers took the Brownies into Overtime. From there, Green Bay escapes from northeastern Ohio with a win. In case you're wondering, here is Cleveland's remaining schedule: Baltimore, at Chicago, and at Pittsburgh. If Cleveland loses out, they'll be the first team to finish a full NFL season at 0-16 since (look away, Joey D and AnthonyD1993) the 2008 Detroit Lions. The only game the Browns have the best chance of winning is maybe at Chicago.

Congratulations to all other winners from this week's games, including Buffalo taking down the Indianapolis Colts on a VERY snowy day in western New York state. How did your boys do this week?
