Wonder if he even lost time with the two tires in the sand and could have gone faster. Amazing either way and glad Scotty has finally got this, now I just hope he wins it.

What good would that have done for RD anyway :odd:
Nothing, but he seems to bring those sorts of things up.
Loved Scotty’s Lap, unfortunately I’ll miss the start tomorrow due to someone’s wedding rehearsal (mine).
Mum has Foxtel so she’s going to record the start for me :)

I loved the lap too although, I think I held my breathe for longer than Scotty when he ran wide exiting McPhillamy

Hope the rehearsal goes well tomorrow 👍

What are the GT3 cars pulling around Bathurst for the 12hr? 2:03 is freakin unbelievable for a Supercar.

Congrats. All the best for the big day. 👍

This being the first weekend of daylight savings is messing with me. Damn Queensland. Can't wait for the race! All the drivers seem quite relaxed.

2 seconds quicker but I still rate a Supercars lap much more. The GT3s are much quicker over the top, but the the Supercars are much harder to muscle.
Look, a 2:01 is nothing to sneeze about around Bathurst but, I agree with you 100%.

You work a helluva lot harder to extract a sub 4 around Mt.Panorama. Heavier car, less rubber, more power & less aero.

Imagine if they could run on some stickier rubber(that doesn't blow up).

Well that applies to both classes doesn't it.

If qualifying tyres were allowed, I'd imagine the GT3 time to be sub 120 seconds & a Supercar to drop a similar amount.

If the Supercar Gen2 regs stay the same & the tyre compounds remain similar, it leaves only refining the car setup as a tool to lowering the lap time.
Barring another track resurface that always guarantees more grip, I can't see a Supercar knocking off SVG's McLaren lap.

The biggest threat to that lap time at the moment would be if they allowed the softer compound tyre to be used in the Top 10 shootout.
Problem with that is, a car that's dialled in on the harder tyre could turn into a pig around here on the softer rubber.

Definitely, it's all in the attitude of the car. Kind of like how watching a few of the classic races on the Bathurst Channel this week with the H-pattern boxes seem like more of an animal of a car than the current gearboxes. I definitely don't want to see the paddles come in.

Maybe, maybe not. Remember, GT3 have all aids switched on. How much does that contribute to how hard they push? Does that bring GT3 times up to VASC? Nothing can be done about aero(which is still quite amazing from the VASC perspective).

Any night owls in the UK that maybe interested, race is live on channel 95 FREESPORTS (on freeview)..

Just found out when flicking through, well happy :D
