Possible I think, He's down to 4.147 and made an error.

edit: With his combined best sectors it would be 2:03.8xx
Here's the lap. Check the hairy moment coming out of the chase, that dropped some time for sure. Certainly could have hit a 3.xxx if that hadn't happened.

Edit: video says it can't be embedded now for some reason. :irked:

That theoretical 2:03:8xx was set on old tyres too so, bolt on a set of freshies....

They're going to give it a good scare if conditions are favourable
He used two new sets for the last couple of runs but the sun had come out by then so it's still possible. Triple 8 haven't showed their hand yet either so they've still got plenty of tyres. I'll be interested to see what they can do.

How's the speed over the top of the mountain:eek:. I held my breath for a while, don't know if Scotty did, but he had eyes like dinner plates when they interviewed him afterwards.

I'm not sure about Kia. I remember Andretti had a Toyota dealership. I don't know about his other networks.

Honda would be out. Volkswagen? Possibly. They run the Passat in BTCC.
Audi? Lexus?
Would BMW now be interested? Shame AMG pulled out. Could almost be a DTM with the Holden(Opel). How about Alfa? Or Jaguar making a return?

Oh ok. Thanks for the heads up 👍

This thing would look great as a touring car:

For sure. Now I want to see a photshop version.
VW sell pretty good here. Would definitely be viable. Showcased at the AGP, Singapore, Bathurst.

Edit: Hope Todd sees Lebrocq as his replacement.

I do have my money on Reynolds/Youlden to win it. It's quite impressive that they have been the fastest Holden all weekend, especially given they have Walkinshaw gear. Waters/Stanaway would be my next pick as long as Waters doesn't do anything stupid. Regardless, with the rain forecast for tomorrow, I couldn't care who wins as long as it's something like the 2014 edition.

So strange to see the Triple 8 cars, including Dumbrell's Super 2 car, struggling under brakes. They've always been the class of the field in that area. Can't complain though!

Forgot to post this yesterday. As of next year Foxtel will be showing the 1000 ad break free.

Subaru maybe?

BTTC engineer Carl Faux to join WR in a technical consultant role.
Top British Touring Car Championship engineer Carl Faux has announced plans to join the Supercars Championship with Walkinshaw Racing.

Faux is one of the most respected engineers in the BTCC paddock having designed the Team BMR Subaru Levorg and MG 6 race cars.

Team BMR lifted the BTCC title this year through Ash Sutton who claimed the crown at Brands Hatch last week.

It's a bit of a stretch I admit. Who knows though?

Dumbrell's run in today's race is a lot like most of my races in Assetto Corsa or Gran Turismo; mistake, mistake, mistake, finally work my way back up then taken out by AI. Unfortunately rage quitting isn't an option for him.

Hey, the Zb is a hatch and Murphy loved driving the Sandman. he even said it should be racing.:sly: Maybe we do see wagons join in the future. ;)

I would be so down with Walkinshaw Andretti running a Subaru Levorg.

If Supercars don't mandate a particular body style such as 2-door coupe or whatever, I wouldn't want the job of trying to even out the aerodynamic side of the parity question.
