I thought something was up when I saw the “G. Tander” on the livery reveal earlier in the week.

GT is topping practice 2 as well at the moment. For the first time in the car, he certainly doesn't muck around. Leanne is looking pretty quick as well.

Some GT3 drivers should be looking at this category too. Probably will when Garth gives them the debrief.

Qualy looks good. Cold rear tyres are leveling the field at the moment. Everyone, but those Astras, are finding speed during the session.

Yeah, a bit unfortunate there. Would like to have seen what Brown could have pulled out. I think it's going to be an awesome race.

Bright to Jack: "We gotta get you out there mate. Get from the other side of that mic." 👍
Just don't buy a "Holden" Astra. I think the badges are making them slow.

Oof, that was a bit of a second hand move from Bright. Disappointing for Heimgartner, again.

That Alfa is fast here. So is the Hyundai. As long as Brown can keep it on track tomorrow, should be a good fight. Heimgartner just having no luck in this series so far.

Some silly moves but good one racing again. O'Keeffe really deserved that. Tander seemed to be in the wars all race. No idea how finished in the top five.

No doubt. The i30N is scary fast across the world. Excellent job by WB.
I did notice the Subaru and RS3 do have that straightline speed, due to aero. How about Lenne P9 on debut?Hope she can keep the seat. So close to a 1,2. Moffat nearly had that with some well placed driving. Hondas look like they need a bit more set up. Meanwhile, the Golfs look just as quick as the Hyundai and Alfa

Have we ever had a husband and wife on the same racing grid before?

I'd like to be a fly on the wall if there's some hard racing going on between them lol.

Hmm...

Not a bad idea. Just depends which tracks. Would TCRA get the full 30 minutes at Bathurst, per se? Guest drives at the AGP? Other street tracks like Newcastle and maybe Townsville? Many possibilities. MAybe add to the Sydney SuperNight.
I'm really divided about this. On one hand I'd love to see TCR replace StupidUtes, but on the other hand I prefer the extra TCR brings to the Shannons Nationals rounds. I'd be worried the crowds would drop too much for the Nationals with people prefering to see TCR at the Supercar events, and then S5000 and other categories could fail because of it.

No. TCR should remain as a category exclusive to the Shannon's Nationals and shouldn't be shoved into the Supercars support bill. Having TCR as the main event will draw more people to the Nationals - it needs it's own audience to survive.

I like the atmosphere as is. People just need to put their money in to see the races. On the other side is the positives in maybe securing the exposure. Guaranteed fans in the stands. As said above, the Nationals suffers. However, looks like a copy of when GTs raced with the production cars in the 12H. The Nationals gets thrown to the wayside.

Are they sure the Heimgartner Subaru isn't #666?

Nice fight with Whitley and Moffat. She wasn't having it. Saw a glimpse of them fighting at the finish, but the coverage switched to cars cooling down. Then, they flip back to her passing Moffat when it was too late.

If WB can keep those tyres round, he'll pour on the pressure. Shame about the Audis. Would have liked to see how they would have finished up. The Castrol Astra looks to be coming on. MAybe they did change the badges.

Edit: Good stuff. Imagine another 12 cars. Gotta keep the body shops in business...

Other than the big one at the start, great racing in that last race. Finally Heimgartner with a good finish. 1-2 for Hyundai. 👍

I like how Garth wants to return and sort things out. Dang! If Chaz was in one of the Hyundais, it would be crazy.

I hope SBS can speed things up in regards to their On Demand service. I missed the first two races and while I wouldn’t fully expect Race 2 to be up, I’m surprised the first race isn’t yet.

There are the Robertsons who finished on the podium at Le Mans in a GTE-AM Ford GT, although they shared the car.

Hopefully this can come to fruition sometime in the near future. It'll be great if they can get a decent size grid together for it (Thinking 30-40+ cars).
