2020 NTT IndyCar Series SeasonOpen Wheel

That was pretty mad, indeed. Must be quite depressing to retire after four, five laps with all this practice beforehand.

All these cars be like:

We're now just over 1/4 way through the race and I don't think they've even acknowledged Alonso's presence apart from the driver intros.

I keep forgetting the central windscreen support/debris deflection thingy isn't a windscreen wiper, and seeing the 7th pit crew member pull a tearoff through the "wiper" is a bit Whoa!-oh yeah.

Awesome aerial shots.

I had to pause the action to play 'Fall Guys' with my kids, now after FF I'm back on live action.

VK is looking hot. - was lol.

Ad break missed Kellet crash.
Not in the UK

My god these American product placement bits that the commentators are forced to say are godawful. I'm so glad the UK straight up banned them from TV many decades ago. It makes the AWS Tyre Graphic cringe from F1 almost bearable.

Conor Daly having typical Conor Daly luck. "I've spun! Oh, I've missed all the walls"-BLAM

Askew getting out of the car very gingerly, hope he's OK.

Edit: Scratch that, Daly was wall-bound anyway.

I just had 15 minutes of full attention to watch this - as it's PSG-Bayern half-time - and all i saw is full course yellow...

That was a massive hit.

Just speculation at this point, but when he tossed the steering wheel out of the cockpit onto the pavement, that signaled to me that something was wrong. Hopefully nothing too serious, but if anything maybe a leg injury of sorts given that he didn't use his legs when getting out.

I'm doing it the other way around. Watching this and occasionally opening the YouTube stream to check the score.

I saw a flash of something that looked like flames in the back, spotter might have told him the car was on fire, at that point I'd be scrambling to get out too.
