Fairly decent Nations Series this time round. Was hopping for a top 10 finish in Canada. Came close. Did the one shot for every race but giant oval track (first race was utter trash).

Since everyone's posting, might as well post my results from all 2 races I did  I did get good results though in the races I did participate in, and from the previous Exhibition Season and the previous full season, I do much better in Nations than Manufacturer's. Hoping I'll be able to participate in full in the next Exhibition Season!

Mission accomplished: I'm in the top 10 in my country.

My 161 points from 2nd in the WRX/Evo duel is my highest score in my career so far, with some good results from the Bathurst SF19 (4th for 145) and Gr.3 Fuji finale (Win for 132 points).

Me being a magnet for idiots at SSRX dropped me out of A rank, but I'm pretty close to retaking A after my Fuji win.

On the whole, a good season for me.

So.. the Season Finale for the Manufacturer's Cup... kind of a letdown of a combo. Big cars, little track... not an especially fun way to end the series. Not really fired up for it after some FP.

I'm not even considering running it. Some of it is because I have a hard time getting enough practice in for the Saturday races, but a lot of it is because it sounds like complete torture. Long straight, full brake corner with lots of throttle control out to long straight, to full brake corner...high tire wear, fuel concerns...it's going to be a mess.

That track is fun in smaller cars, though. I'd love a N100 or N200 race there.

I thought the bug was just in arcade? As Manuel says "I know nothing"

I’ve seen the same bug happen in an online lobby I ran in today and @Mistah_MCA also mentioned the bug in his guide, so I’m going to add an extra lap past the diamond tomorrow just to be safe. Better to end up overfuelling than to find out you underfuelled and have no way to make up the fuel deficit.

So not exciting for some ,but have just got out of D! Now C and S, the S 99 I have had for a little while. Just had a pole and a 2nd place in the dailies, along with two consecutive clean races, which is no easy feat in the daily speedway race!

I have only had the game and the g29 wheel for a little over two weeks, and not done any sim racing before. I have nothing to compare too, so don't know if that's quick progress??

Exactly... I do like the track for smaller cars. But In Gr3... what's the point? Mickey Mouse. Or:

Everyone gets better at their own pace, it's good that you feel your improving. The hard part comes later when you can't see any way of getting better, but even then just stick at it. IMO you seem to be improving at a decent rate, maybe stop it as I'm only a little better.

I actually had a blast when we raced these cars at Tsukuba last season. For some reason I enjoy Gr.3 at these small road courses. Can we get Miyabi next season for 50 laps please?

Oh come on boys, it’ll be fun. Not a fan of NASCAR at Martinsville I take it? It’s not as bad as it looks.

See, I’d be okay with that because it’s not two full braking corners. There’s finesse involved but it’s not as obnoxious IMO.

The Supra turbo kick says no thank you at both the corners, and that’s on soft tires. I’m good, haha.

Tried the RC F earlier in the week. Switched to the RX-V and went 0.23 faster. Every turn spells disaster.

As a side, I did a Custom Race One Make, using the E30 at Nurb GP. Replicating the 190E 2.3-16 F1 One Make from the '80s. Would be fun as a Nations event.

I predict in 22.7 years I will be the number 1 driver in GTS! THAT is the slow pace to which I am improving!

Predictably I might still be a D driver due to the lack of online races.

I actually really like the reverse version (II) of Maggiore Central for that combo. It can get messy (and the current penalty system) doesn't help, but it's such a fun track. You're always on the edge.

The regular central layout is different, though. That tight S Turn 1 is just a nightmare.

Strategy is gonna be super interesting tonight. In the Audi softs last 12-13 laps, mediums last 18-19 laps. Laptime wise, they crossover right in the middle so over a whole stint they are actually quite similar. From experience though, the slower warmup of the mediums at the start leaves you vulnerable, and once you start battling you just go backwards so it's probably not worth it still. The hards are useless at the start when you're heavy with fuel, but towards the end of the race it's not so bad, so the option of undercut and doing more than 1 lap on hards is quite viable I think. Traffic will be key as usual.

The fuel lasts 19 laps without any saving, and with fuel mapping I can get it to 24 laps, but the time loss is too big on this track. So just save when you're stuck behind someone.

Preliminary strategy plans:
Start front - 12S/13S/1H or 8S/8S/9S/1H
Start mid - 12S/1H/13S or 19M/7H
Start back - 1H/8S/8S/9S or 1H/12S/13S

I think the tight left- right combination at Maggiore is terrible and is just there to make the lap time longer. I think they should've put a kink in the straight and completely bypassed the first three corners.

I agree. It feels like one of those sections that PD puts in there because of esports, so Jimmer can scream "AND WE HAVE TOYOTA AND BMW SIDE BY SIDE FOR FOUR CORNERS WHAT AN AMAZING RACE !!!!!!". But it doesn't actually produce any position change in the end, and just serves as a penalty magnet in lower split rooms

Footage from Maggiore T1-2 in real life :P

Actually it's Oscherschleben, but you get the joke lol.

So i have been practicing and racing in the lobby for tomorrow's manufacturers series in the Aston, which btw doesn't seem to suit this circuit . Going in on hard tyres, only way to change them is to pit and go on the softs. But at the start of qualifying and the race the tyres go back to hard! What am I doing wrong here?
