Maybe is was posted sometime, somewhere, but I can't seem to find it.

Could someone post a picture of the FIA Points earned breakdown for final results positions? I'm not talking about DR/SR. Thanks!

Here you go Sir.

Not much to report after Race 1 in the Citroen. This was about the only bit of excitement in the whole two races. :)

Glad to see my Citroën Manufacturers liveries getting some good use. These were what I had planned to use myself last year before I stuck with Ford. ;)

They're great liveries, I don't touch them in the livery editor unless I need to do something for a league race or similar.

Sorry for the turn1 incident. I had a good exit and then I noticed everyone in front of you not going as fast. I tried to get off throttle and turn sharper but it was too late. everyone is so aggressive on getting a good result it's hard to race smart and have a good race.
T.
No biggie, I was always super cautious through there, I didn’t want to wreck anybody in front of me , but i think it was just a bad race day from my side,, see you out there

Was watching a track guide by an OK driver and he put it best, slow down it's better to lose a few tenths.

Yeah true. Quali will be interesting, reckon I'll do a steady lap first time round.

Then try get a second flying lap and take COD flat. Anything short of that will put you towards the back of the grid.

In race, an exercise in not dying. Nice and steady and live to the end. Figure by lifting, you lose up to .5s

It's very important to keep the car balanced and not overturn in the COD. I know it's counterintuitive for the brain when you realize that your not making the turn, but a slight lift(not complete, just to 50% throttle) and a bit of easing on the turning will make the car to stop understeer and actually go in the direction you want. You still keep a good speed through the chicane and it is easy to keep it consistent once you figure it out. It works for my Hyundai beautifully but I think every FR can do it.

I was a bit scared of this track as I was expecting my "Chinese BMW" as my teammates are calling it to have big troubled in this combo, as it's not the fastest on a straight line, but I can hold my own against most cars. Only car I saw that I really struggle against is the Jag, I have almost no chance to overtake if the driver knows what he is doing...

This is what I am doing with the 86. A slight blip on entry just to be sure I have the angle correct, then flat all the way through. It can do it completely flat, but you hit the curbs funny and it's not worth the risk.

I can never work out DTS, I like the track but am generally off the pace. I'll need a slipstream to qualify anywhere decent - but I'm useless at following in a tow - and a slipstream through the chicane usually results in a big twitchy moment at best, and a total wreck at worst. Get a feeling my race will be - qualify in the bottom third, get beaten up for a couple of laps until it settles, then have decent pace compared to the cars around me but only pick up places due to accidents at the chicane

I'd snap your hand off for a top half finish if you offered it me now!

The first sector of Seaside is sooooo sooooo soooo difficult to really get the most for me.
I’ve worked on it sooooo many hours over the years but I lose time there almost every lap.! So hard to max that out no matter the car.
I really love racing there, but for some reason I’m not sure about gr4 against my peers...
Gr4 is harder than 3 imo.

I say again, there really should be driver's pre-race etiquette/brief at each track. Such as: "Be aware of going two-wide at the chicane. If side by side, the car on the inside entry, has right of way. If the car on the left, is a half car length ahead, before the entry, the car on the right should give way."
Everywhere else is fair game.

Tracks need these type of guides even in the Free Practice. We get an official video in Circuit Experience, detailing how to navigate the chicane. PD could use the same YouTube video, but with warning text, instead of the voice over. PLace the video below the "Race Rules" column.

Well getting my Oz guy ready for this and just checked my manu ranking, it's 67 from 128 (lots more with 0 points not counting them) so can I get into the top half on all three accounts? Well that's going to be my target for this season.
Not really looking forward to this, find hards too hard and would rather have the option to go soft with a stop even with the pit times. Still it's a good course and I do like it so just got to manage COD 14 times fairly cleanly and I might get a good result.
Good luck everybody and be excellent to each other.

Qualified 6th with an ok lap. Top 6 cars consisted of 3 GTRs, 2 Jags and a VW. 4th and 5th were fighting laps one and two and caused us to get left behind by the front 3. Ended up with the 3 of us in a little group. The other Jag made a mistake and lost our tow. 2nd place VW died at the COD and I managed to get ahead into 3rd. Chased down 2nd placed GTR who was about 4 seconds ahead. Got within draft zone on lap 9 and then I hit the barrier exiting COD and lost all my speed. The Jag behind was now back in my draft. Last lap, I got passed just before the COD but on the final corner I managed to slip up the inside to snatch 3rd back.

Pretty boring after the good combo last Manu. No strategy or management whatsoever and the tyres don't fall off the 4WD and FWD cars either. Ran 2 races entirely with every lap within .5 of PB while struggling not to doze off. Two 2nds, bagging my 190pts and dipping on out of here.

DTS gr4 in GT Sport is basically what Barcelona is to F1. Follow the leader until someone slips up, and even that slip up sometimes isn't enough for an overtake unless someone RIPs in the chicane of death.

That was good fun! Genesis is pretty slow on the straights but is great at flying through the COD. Qualified 13th and watched as the chicane claimed 4 victims up ahead in the early laps. Ended up using an SLS for draft on the straights and had a good close race with them for the remainder. We both managed to get by a WRX with a couple of laps to go.

(no Citroen’s in the race!)

Had to make a hasty run to the shop today to replace a defunct wheel stand. With the new rig finally set up I jumped into slot 2. My DR has taken a big hit over the last week and I found myself in a 140 pt lobby with door 4.

Qualifying was pretty awful for me. I didn’t have any major impediments but somehow couldn’t get within a second of my best free run times. Q10, when anything within 0.2 of my best would have had pole.

I was the only Jag in the race and the front of the grid was a Mustang, 2 sciroccos and a Slophy.

The race was much, much cleaner than I had expected. Even turn 1 didn’t see any divebombs. Lap 1 ran as we started until the CoD where p5 met the wall. He was still ghosted as I came out of the CoD and both me and p11 lifted off to avoid hitting him while he unghosted. This let p12 through into the final turn and I crossed the line still in p10. Lap 2 saw some carnage as I passed someone who had gone off in the first chicane, then someone who spun in the esses and then the CoD’s second victim. P7.

Several laps of relative calm then followed as I tracked p4 to p6. By lap 8 I was being held up by the AMG in p6 and got the overtake done on the straight. I then hunted a scirocco who was clearly having significant tyre trouble. Lap 10 saw me dispense with him and then p3 and p4 were battling up ahead. Early on Lap 11 I managed to overtake the p4 Slophy but got the final turn wrong and lost the position onto the straight for the final time. Thankfully the Jag is a top end master and by the end of the straight I was back in front by a full car length. There was some minor contact at T1, but the guy behind yielded in the next straight and it was then a matter of defending the remainder of the final lap.

Mission successful, P4 and 120pts. One and done for me. The new rig has already paid for itself.
