The GT-R was pretty good. The Scirocco in 11th, was blocking the GT-R all race. I've been in plenty races with P9. I have to tip my hat for the patience not to punt that VW. I stayed behind them until a couple laps to go. I had to pull the trigger. Pace was falling off so much behind the Scirocco. I didn't want an RCZ 1.5-2 secoinds behind, catching us. It got within 1 second and I had enough.
The GT-R went a little wide into T1. I took the apex. Caught and passed the Scirocco and I covered the inside line all the way to T1. I went a little bit wide so the Scirocco couldn't punt me off. VW passes me and I pass it again.

Had a Good qualy. My connection started with one red bar! By the time the race began, I was on two bars. Then, yellows and everything was right after a lap or two.
I'm going again in the 86. Not for poiints. Just to race. I love this circuit. However, for the love of Pete, Jesus, The Most High, all the angels.... DO NOT USE THE FFs. PLEASE! They kill the race. Pretty fast on the straight. Once the real racing begins around Lap 7, 8. They are toast.

I entered this round in the Slophy. I know the track pretty well and know that car the best out of the bunch so since I was only getting 10 minutes to figure out the lap I determined safe was best.

Get door 18 of 18. Manage an ok qualifying session. No blinders of laps, but all had some small mistakes so starting p14. Solid start, make a pass due to the FFs slow off the line, but aware of a wild card behind me. Sure enough, I spy my radar in the braking for turn 1 and see the incoming. He clears the lot and I'm up to p9, I take p8 on the run to turn 2 and off we go!

Not really. I miss the hairpin lap 2 and drop back to 9, then see the wrong braking point for the final turn while on the inside so have to find a gap to escape through. I do knock Stew wide and cost him 2 spots, but that was the closest option after my mistake rather than 100pct wiping someone out. It also dropped me back to p12. After a couple of laps I run up on a VW at the hairpin and make a beautiful pass around the outside. But all for naught as the FF power has him rum me down from 0.5 back on the straight and still have enough overspeed to get in front and pull right in front of me under braking. I do wiggle and have a sketchy turn 1 but we all survive.

I end up p10 after 2 others run off. I had extra speed the last 5 laps but kept making my own small mistakes in some corners so gained nothing. It was a sort of blah race but I had my fairly solid run and no real drama so calling it a night.

Forgot to save replay so this is the only footage I have of my great turn 1 awareness (for once) and one of the best passes I've ever pulled off.

I entered slot 1 in Oceania, B/S room, door #8. Only .7xx seperated the entire field of 19. I qualified in 16th in the Trophy. Up to 12 by lap 4 then punted at turn 1 by a **** in a ff pos. Managed to catch up the 10 seconds I was behind and finally finished in 18th. :banghead:

Going again in slot 3 after I have cooled down , this time in the WRX. 💡

I felt the WRX would be a good weapon at this layout. It's smooth and quick. More nimble than the GT-R and the GT-R lasted pretty good.

Watched the First 8 minutes of my replay. Everything was pretty cool until that VW. Dragline got passed by it(by being squeezed towards the track edge no doubt), but the VW kept overshooting T1. Once me and GT-R caught back up, we could have been up with Dragline, but lost too much time by that blocking VW. It was also using the understeer-escort-wide-manoeuvre, to slow the GT-R.

Most of the race, I was doing green laps. 86 cornering speed from Turns 3-6, saw me backing off, due to closing speed.
As for other car choices, it'll be interesting, if anyone goes with the 4C.

hoping I can get in to slot 2 after being disco’d for slot 1. Also going to run the WRX so I can get some decent comparisons to the Evo I usually run.

Slot 1 Oceania, same lobby as @05XR8. Slophy, Door 9.

Qualy was only ok. Got tangled up when I caught the car in front into turn 1 on my first flying lap. Jumped out and back in but again had to ease up on my second flying lap as I caught a car on its out lap. Ended up with Q9.

Slophy was a rocket off the line. I was up to p6 by T1.

Into the final hairpin on lap 1 behind another Slophy and it braked unexpectedly early. I was already slightly inside it so took evasive action onto the grass on the inside. Unfortunately that meant I had to try and rejoin without hitting anyone else. I was mostly successful but did lightly bump the side of a VW and I think I baulked @05XR8s run out of the final turn. Sorry man, I was trying so hard to stay off everyone’s line. I settled in p7 into lap 2.

The rest of the race went ok. I was saved by the radar 3 times. A GTR took a massive dive into the final hairpin and I managed to delay turn-in until after he’d sailed by. I think it was a genuine mistake on his part. A VW following then caught me into T1 and immediately outbraked himself and went way too deep. I eased off and made the cutback stick, only for him to do exactly the same thing on the following lap. Thankfully I was able to put a gap on him as he engaged in a 3 way battle behind me.

Cue several laps of me driving alone, managing my tyres and keeping an eye on the gaps in front and behind.

At turn 1 on lap 11 p5 (Slophy) and p6 (Scirocco) had some sort of incident and when I arrived p5 had a 2 second penalty and p6 was ghosted. As I passed p6, p5 decided to swerve back into the racing line and I ended up tapping the back of him. Thankfully no penalties resulted and I was in p5 into the double left. After p6 served his penalty I had a 3 second gap into the last lap and simply nursed the Slophy home for p5 and 129 points.

One and done.

Thanks for the post race apology, but I knew you were good.

Well, I set an 11 flat in the WRX. .2 faster than my Mustang time. Much quicker than my time in the 86. Race pace is different, but the WRX seems to be good in Daily tyre wear races.
Maybe I'll try it, if I make the final slot. ;)

Edit: 10.921, with a 10.863 optimum. Really nice with no wear.

Edit2: Well that's that. Something's not right for Dailys to connect all night and FIA jumps ship.

So my race replay is below.

Qualified in P13 in a room almost exclusively full of Trophy's. In the lobby post qualifying had the guy in P15 give me an f u message. No idea why, as I was nowhere near the guy during the session and the last time I shared a track with him he punted me off.

When into the race half expecting to be drilled by old mate at the first corner. However between my race start and the pole sitter failing to leave at the lights, I had jumped all the way up to 6th into the braking zone.

Had a nice short battle for 4th place, until a standard Renault opted to go for the dive bomb, saw it coming, allowed him to sail past me and he collected the Trophy sending both into the gravel.

Had another great battle with another Trophy who was recovering from the Turn 1 carnage. Didn't have the pace to keep him at bay, but we kept it clean and it was a major highlight for the season so far for me coming home in 5th place and bagging 119 points for the campaign.

You could be Valtteri Bottas with how lonely and forlorn you look in that photo.

Managed to connect to the server (!) in slot 3, put the car on pole and drove away to win. Points were rubbish but I'll take what I can get.

Yeah, isn't it fantastic how you can't get any points for a win when you lose DR for PD's servers problems...

Was in a lobby with many familiar faces including @watto79 @garix and @ionstriker and actually a decent variety of cars.
Had a poor last corner on my quali lap but it was still enough to put me midpack.
Managed to survive the start and after that tried to save my tyres but it didn't make much difference in the end as I just lacked the race pace needed to move forward so in the end I finished where I started

Door 15ish
Q1
P1

C/S I think

I went and done it. Pole in last lap, didnt mess launch, binned first corner and lap 2 on final hairpin. Managed to fight back P1 by lap 4 and stayed there till end!!! Was more afraid of DC than anything.

Heart was coming out my mouth while waiting for results to be confirmed (Ive seen a DC here and I got 0 points before)...

If anything, lots of practice at lunch time (35 mins) and learning what works and what doesnt in the Atenza. Sectors where I made the most time to other was the first corner (I practiced it loads since I always messed it up) and the long left into the final sloppy hairpin that everyone goes wide.

So happy. First win AND first time running FIA on manual! Started last week and loving the control. I don't understand why the same speed but lower gear makes the car rotate so much tho, it's super abusable..

Don't usually run nations. But chose to give it a run on my "dailies" account. Or to clarify, if I run nations, I ONLY use my dailies account.

Door 3
Q5
P4
+1000 DR
142 points

Nothing too special happened in race. Q1 false started, Q4 spun up the wheels, so up to P3.

The car in P1, built up a good gap and wasn't seen again.

Had some great racing with a German in the WRX and a French driver in a Ferrari as we pulled away from the cars behind. Fighting for P2.

Got up to P3, as the French driver made a mistake. Not taking it too seriously, so gave the French driver P3. Settled for P4.

One and done. Upfront, it does seem kinda boring, but was pretty dirty behind us.

OK need a good result to catch up a bit to @OJBrit (think he cheated) unfortunately not a fan of this circuit, but hey ho I can push everyone out of the way for a win. Tried a few cars and the Evo worked best for me, might have been better taking the Atenza and I think tyres last better on it, but I'll be surprised if it's that close at the end to make much odds.
OH dear D1 can't see this getting me loads of points...yeah 76 for a win and I blew quali big time. Mistake of first lap, but still catching guy in front so binned it and instead of changing tyres stayed out for 2 more both bad, but all my fault for once. So starting from 18th and must remember to change BB after all this garbage at the beginning is over.
Great start up to 10th, 1st corner punted back to 18th. End of lap back to 14th, offs and pens. ****** boring race as there are no real passing places especially in a car as slow as the Evo, finished 13th and that's enough of that one thanks. Made no points 👎

Good luck everyone doing this.

I did not overtake 12 cars. What a result.
Started 18th on merit with a qualifying lap that went about as well as I could have done. I'd been trying both the Trophy and the Subaru in my practices. I felt more confident in the WRX but I knew the tyres would be gone by the end so it wouldn't be worth it. Starting 20th was a guy in the wrong Megane who came with a dirty driver warning from someone else in the pre-race chat. There was a decent mix of cars in my race - 10 Trophys, 3 Alfas, 1 Porsche, 1 Megane, 1 86, 1 Lancer, 1 WRX and 2 Volkswagens.

I got a decent start off the line although everyone from 15th back seemed to get cut adrift in the run to turn 1. Fortunately this just meant that everyone ahead got bunched up, but I was still 16th coming out of that corner. A major Moses moment in what I suppose is turn 3 put me up to 13th, then someone ahead of me served a penalty at the end of the lap.

End of lap 2 I made up two places from someone being punted at the hairpin and the punter deciding to back off in the middle of the hairpin while he had a train of three cars behind him. Up to 10th and the Trophy in front of me had a penalty, so I was 9th to start lap 4 with a train of 4/FWD cars ahead of me. I was quite happy with a top 10 given my qualifying so I was happy to follow them until their tyres went off. Turn 1 on lap 4 an Italian ran wide going side by side with someone and spun out putting me up to 8th.

On lap 8 the Subaru in front of me eventually gave up with the half-hearted defending and I went past into turn 3. Watching it back it looks like there was contact but the cars didn't touch going by the replay, must have been netcode. I didn't even realise. Up ahead at the same corner the guy who'd warned about a dirty driver pre-race went for a massive lunge on a VW and put him off so I was up to 6th. I think I got to within a second of him towards the end and 3rd/4th were getting closer too but by this point I was more than delighted with 6th.

Winning time was 14:31 in a 227 point lobby. I finished in 14:41.

Same as a few others, decided to give Nations a shot because it was so short and in gr.4 cars, eg. didn't require much practice.
Tried the Megane Trophy, Subaru, Scirocco and Alfa, but got my best time in the Scooby so went with that.

Did quite good in quali, managed to get pole on my 1st lap, but knew there was a couple more tenths, so exited to the pit and then tried to go again. Unfortunately my pit box was so far back that I lost the slipstream of the group and that was that, ended 5th.

In the race, I absolutely nailed the start and was alongside the leaders going into the 1st corner. Unfortunately since I had done no practice I had no idea where to brake, and I ended up braking about 10 meters to early. Went from 5th to 2nd and back to 5th coming out of the 1st corner. And that is where I stayed until lap 11 when a Megane managed to get past, around the outside into the 1st corner. The fronts on my car were starting to go, but I maybe could have defended a little better.

Basically nose to tail from start until end so not too exciting a race, but was ok.

Not been on much this week as I'm back doing some work for the first time this year now that I and a lot of people are now vaccinated and people are now calling me to do work for them again. Time will be limited for the next few weeks but it's great to be working again.

My 1st Nation's in a DR-B/s lobby, with Limited track time for the Nations, only tried 4 cars and settled on the Megane as last time we did Gr.4 here on the full circuit I had some great races in it. I was slightly faster in the Atenza but more laps done in the Megane and more comfortable driving it so I played it safe.

Qualified 18th after a messy set of laps, not really down to people getting in my way but more because I was watching behind me so as not to block anyone as I knew I was not getting good runs through the corners the odd time and losing time allowing the car behind to catch up, on last lap I let him go after the hairpin as I was on a slower lap so no point in being an idiot and slowing him down.

I got a blinding start and left TC on 1 for the race, I made up 6 places in the before the 2nd corner, most due to picking the right position to be in at the right time and was up to 13th at 1st corner, I survived a tap from behind through the first corner and a few others ran wide on exit. I just settled into a rhythm after that and I had spent some time watching some of our top streamers lately that I realised I have been downshifting when I didn't need to and should try more lift and coast, this really worked for me in this race and I was just way quicker than the guys I was behind through the corners and this allowed me to do a few nice clean overtakes. Once I got up to 7th I had a great race for 6th and if I'm honest I should have taken it and maybe 5th as I was so much faster through the corners but I just settled for a finish in 7th rather that making a mess of it. Tempted to go again but I only ever do if a race is a complete disaster. Overall a satisfying race.

Slophy - qualified 9th, finished 9th for a season low 123 points (never thought I'd get to the stage this would be low for me!)

Had enough of Autopolis. Previous 2 attempts didn't go well. In the first I got dive-bombed by a Swiss who seemed to be annoyed that I was annoyed at this. End result, they went for the nuclear option so I finished DFL. Attempt 2 was a big bundle of average, can't recall exactly what happen but it was a midpack finish.

Attempt 3, qualified 9th without slipstream. Was into 5th at one point before being bundled back. Had some nice racing with a Czech for the last 5-6 laps but couldn't find a way past.

Practice races had gone a lot better but my finish is probably fair enough. I've not much pace around here
