Fair point now that you mention it, I can't remember any Whelen cars that didn't have the 31.
They are sponsoring Dillon this weekend, but that's the only time I know of.

Another new Cup team, granted this one isn't a surprise since they announced it awhile back and we were just waiting on details.

GMS will run full time with Ty in the #94. Wouldn't be my first choice, but there's certainly worse options.

Also, RWR has formed an alliance with SHR and Roush-Yates, hopefully this, along with the rumor of them cutting back a car or two, is a sign the team is actually going to start trying.

Ty was the best they could do? I feel like someone like Brett Moffitt could have been a better choice. Also when did GMS start aligning with Childress?

Ty may not be the fastest, but he finishes races, which is rather helpful when you're a new team.

On talent alone perhaps, but race seats have never been purely about talent.

The fact Brett has been through so many teams also seems to hint that there's more to the issue than just money.

Since now. If you want to make it as a small Cup team you pretty much have to have an alliance with one of the super teams, especially with a completely new car and rumored lack of practice next year.

Which makes perfect sense that they took Dillon as that would nearly guarantee an ECR Engine (unless Ty is on Richard's least favorite grandchild list for some reason).

You would think Hendrick teams would be smart enough to not blatantly say they plan on wrecking someone over a widely accessible radio channel.

Also, A.J. is done. :(

Slight difference between this and Logano/Kenseth in 2015? Elliott is (for now) still in contention.

Only bad part was 2 guys who wanted to kill each other could have taken 2 guys out who weren’t a part of it and ruined their days.

Larson wins the Roval.
Hamlin, Larson, Logano, Blaney, Ky. Busch, Elliott, Keselowski and Truex Jr. advance.

Harvick, Bell, Byron and Bowman are eliminated.

Larson up 60 or so points for the round of 8.

Once Chase got back into the race, the payback potential was there, but it was minimized because he didn't need to start pushing his luck.

Byron is out which makes me sad. He should have won this race. But he didn’t so it is what it is
