Though, I was hoping (though didn’t expect) to see the heats being actual heats, with some drivers not making the feature. But a solid idea.

It's scary to think what the motorsport landscape would look like without people like Lemonis. Granted even amongst all the racefan CEO's/Presidents he seems to go above and beyond to support what he loves.

Whoever runs Bass Pro Shops as well. Sponsor part time with three different teams and two different manufacturers in Cup and Xfinity.

And these companies, as well as the Kaulig Racing owner bring in money to the sport that isn’t Motorsport related. They are the unsung hero’s of racing in the way the tobacco industry was to European racing of the 20-30 years ago.

Why on earth does JGR continue to put Ty Dillon in their #54? 18 year old Ty Gibbs brings it home with a W. This no talent brings you back a Mike Harmon result

Ty (Gibbs) still needs time to develop, yes he won a race but that doesn't mean he is suddenly ready. Gibbs is doing the smart thing for a change and not rushing a development driver. In the mean time you might as well let ole' Richard give you some money and put his lesser grandkid in your revolving door car.

Gibbs has a nice racket going with his Xfinity program. Have two guys in Ty Dillon and Brandon Jones bring in truck loads of money and neither really wreck all too often, so you can run the grandkid and whoever else they want in their cars.

Missed most of the race sadly, but got to see the last 15 laps. Seems like Larson was able to put together a very solid run and walked away with a strong victory today. Happy to see such a result for this guy, almost seems like a completely new person.

Bummed for the 23 & 21. Based on the fact Bubba was 5+ laps down, I assume he got into some kind of trouble on track? Also read that apparently the 21 was in place for a Top-10, until one of their wheel guns failed on the final pit stop. That team needs a blessing from the Garage Gods, because both this year and last it seems like pit road problems keep stopping them from getting good results. In any case, I know we're only 4 races in, but so far it looks like both Bubba and Matty D have their work cut out for them this season.

Also, shout out to Erik Jones! Was able to very quietly collect a Top-10 finish in the 43 car today. Excellent stuff.

I think so. The Old Guard is in trouble this year, and the Hendrick cars have come to life.

Harvick really had a rough day today. I wonder how much each race truly means though? Drivers who know they can win will focus on the races they are best at, while just taking it easy the rest of the “regular” season.

Harvick ran poorly but I'd be more concerned about the rest of SHR. Custer has shown very little in terms of finishes this year and Briscoe is clearly adapting to the top series but what is going on with Almirola?

They had an oil leak.

Ugh, that's super frustrating. But, that's racing as well.

According to the Wood Brothers twitter, he ran the final 90 laps of the race on the same left front tire. Mad respect for nursing it to the finish.

Damn, that's an impressive feat for sure. Still wish their pit-realted gremlins would piss off, though. :irked:
