Seriously though that is crazy. These athletes need to do better. If this is true then it was something he had been doing for awhile. I guess the truth will eventually come out

Myles Garrett has requested a trade from the Browns. It is going to be an interesting negotiation for the trade since someone is going to pay at least one first rounder to get him and Cleveland will squander the draft picks acquired anyway.

He's just a kicker  I get it, he's great, but he's just a kicker. Who does he think he is, Deshaun Watson?!?!

Uh-oh, the super bowl is coming up Sunday. We're getting snacks and supplies early for the weekend, we'll start shopping Thursday night. I always get a kick out of the halftime shows with all the celebrities and entertaining music/ and looking at the audience and football players and teams/coaches.

I'm looking forward to the 11.30pm GMT kickoff, which feels earlier than usual. Not sure i'll make it past the half time nonsense. I guess it depends on how close the game is at that point.

I've said that before though. Tapping out by the end of the 3rd qtr when i'm struggling to stay awake - only to find out later the game was turned on its head in the 4th and i've missed out on a nail-biting doozy of a finish.

I scored a ten pound pork butt for $1.99 per pound. Looks like carnitas and maybe chile colorado are happening for the game.

GO CHIEFS!

I'm equal parts wanting the Chiefs to win and Philly to lose :P Of course I want a division rival to lose, but it'd be cool to see a team three-peat.

What's the dealio with the HOF class for this year. 4 seems rather small?

And I'm not saying none of the four didn't deserve it but Luke Kuechly was robbed. Same with Bryce Young not winning comeback player of the year. :P

Pretty mediocre awards. The MVP should've been Saquon, the coach of the year should've either been Campbell or Quinn, and DPOY should've been Garrett. Comeback player of the year seems like Darnold would've been a better fit since he was more or less thrown away and returned to have nearly an MVP-level season. Assistant Coach of the Year should've been Glenn over Johnson since Glenn made the Lions' defense work using practice squad players, Johnson had one of the best offensives in the league.

I agree, Kuechly was robbed, so was Vinatieri.

As for Fan of the Year, Megan Stefanski is well known in the Lions circles and definitely deserved it for her dedication but I couldn't tell you about any other fans so maybe someone else deserved it more?

As for the show itself, holy crap is Snoop Dogg cringy. Those jokes fell flat. Nikki Glaser is insufferable too, as is Jelly Roll. John Hamm was a surprise, though.

And Belichek showing up rocking all his rings with his arm candy wearing the extra was great. He really is living his best life and doesn't care.

This is more for next year’s thread, but my Steelers are finally crossing the Atlantic again. Very likely to be playing a “home” game in Dublin in September. I was at Wembley in 2013 the last time they made the trek - hopefully a better result this time.

Happy Super Bowl LIX Day, everyone!

Tonight, the stage is set for an electrifying rematch of Super Bowl LVII as the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles under the bright lights of Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. Both teams have fought through a grueling season and playoff battles to earn their spot in the biggest game of the year, with legacies on the line and a Lombardi Trophy up for grabs.

Key storylines to watch:
🏆 Can Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs cement their dynasty with a third Super Bowl victory in a row?
🦅 Will Jalen Hurts and the Eagles get their long-awaited revenge after their narrow loss in LVII?
🔥 Which defense will step up under pressure, and which playmakers will rise to the occasion?

The city of New Orleans is buzzing with excitement, the fans are ready, and history is about to be made. Who will hoist the Lombardi Trophy when the clock hits zero?

Well it looks Philly is determined not to let the refs decide this one. They are playing like they want it more

This has been a bad game. In 58 SBs there has never been a shutoff but we may see one tonight
I'm not a football fan in the slightest, but I'm now fully invested in this game just for this historic possibility. The Chiefs are getting walloped right now.

Edit: Well, that was relatively short-lived. Good to see the Chiefs put something on the board.

I think the Eagles got tired of hearing about the Chiefs making history with a 3 peat. They have played like they wanted more than KC

There wasn't a lot to pick from but Stella's Other David commercial is easily the best.
