I don’t get why they have an opening large enough to fit anything but a folded piece of paper through? Or were the devices this small?
The box i dropped our ballots off at has an opening that's about 3/4".

If those boxes are similar, the device would have to be fairly small.

I would think something like even a string of firecrackers would work to ignite a bunch of paper in a confined area. Something kind of like this:

It's readily available, pretty thing, and can have like 200 on one string so there's plenty of ignition potential. Douse an envalope with some lighter fluid and slide that in first and boom, you have a fire in a box.

Stewart crushes it yet again. Jon Stewart's last two daily show openings have been outstanding.

I see your Jon and I raise it with a Jimmy:

Jon is usually better than Jimmy, but Jimmy last night was pretty effective and satisfying...

Left wing comedy is really what keeps me sane since Trump came on board....

It's called comedy, not "Left wing comedy". It's comedy because it's funny, witty, and satirical. Some right wingers can be funny too, and left wingers can be extremely unfunny at times as well. Good comedy, however, is just that - good comedy. It is, however, probably not a coincidence that there are very few popular right wing comedians who are not also total arseholes.

Rapid recovery, just like the recovery of twitter’s value. They basically saying that everyone who isn’t a billionaire or at least a millionaire will be ****ed.

Yea, we should definitely trust this guy to wreck stuff in order to make it better. He's so good at that. [/s]

It looks like we're about to get a crash course in accelerationism.

Destroying the economy & country so it can be rebuilt in some billionaires' image?

Oh boy, history definitely hasn't shown us what sort of negatives could come with that.

To be frank, I would agree that, not only the US, but the entire world, but starting with the US, we really need a hard reset and starting from scratch to redesign society to be more fair to the large majority and much more human centric rather than financial centric.

Money should only be a mean to the ends, but not the driver. Money should be a facilitator, but not the main driver.

Human Decency should be the measure of the new key metrics and driver....

I assume mail-in votes just don't go through the postal system because of tampering concerns?
I think what we're learning here is that the postal system is actual safer than these boxes because it's less concentrated where it isn't secured but more secure where it is concentrated. For example it's either in your mailbox - what are they gonna do, set fire to dozens of mailboxes at the front of houses without getting caught? - or it's in the mailman's hand, or their truck, or inside a post office, etc.

Mail ballots are a lifeline for people who travel or work abroad and especially for goverment and military members. It must be trustworthy, but conservatives did everything they could in the last election to break that trust. This could be another example of that, even if it was never going to influence results.

Fortunately, the Postal Inspectors don't **** around. They're among the most aggressive law enforcement agencies we have.

I was HOWLING with laughter from all the jokes and physical comedy.

Jimmy's monologue tonight is special because for once, he hung up the comedy hat, and instead he was dead serious and called out Trump's for who and how he really is, because one week away this is no joke anymore.

I understand the frustration, I would do like you, but we really have to be stronger and resist the temptation.
If we want to appear better and stronger, we have to be consistent with our core values of being decent and treat others with respect regardless of our different values...

Being weak may be human, but being an understanding and considerate human being is what makes us better evolved, more capable and differentiate us from animals....

Hi iQ or low iQ.. we have the choice.
This is what happens when President Biden rises to the bait: facepalm

Looking at this tweet it appears that America PAC have cybersquatted votesafe.org so that they can send people signing up to vote all kinds of deplorable Trumpist garbage in their inbox. Sounds like one to avoid.

Deflection-Distraction saves the day.
Another DD from the dump trump team:
Double Down

It's really deplorable and damaging to society's sanity:

I really hate these sort of approach, bullies

50% of this country have no problems being bullies....
I don't get it... Vicious destructive circle

I agree with his analysis:

i am so tired of trump, his bullish bullying rhetoric and his dumb supporters.

This is real comedy:

Ok wresting fans. We got the Brothers of Destruction in the red corner, vs Cactus Jack and Batista in the blue corner. Who's your money on?

The Governator also on Team Not-Trump

Go Arnie!

How did the body-builder/actor guy turn out to be such a good leader. If you go back and watch "pumping iron", it's very hard to imagine that he'd be governor of California, or a good one at that. I so wish he were eligible for the presidency. These days we don't seem to even care if a candidate is eligible.
