That‘s a cool livery! We‘ll see if BMW can transform their BOP rating into a good result. RLL are probably in a good position since they came in 4th at Daytona this year iirc.

A bit bummed that Mid-Ohio remains with MPC "only" - it was great to see it last year in person, no complaints, MPC does deserve to be the headliner, always great racing there. Due to other commitments we can't go this year but maybe next year we go back - although Watkins Glen is maybe closer to us and I'd like to see the GTP in action (as GT3 is now part of the VP series, Mid-Ohio will have them, so that could be ticked off there).

Glad to see Road America as an endurance round. Those long straights for six hours will be like a mini Daytona. Did they say which series is going to be a which track? VIR is usually a GT only round etc.

VIR is still GTD Pro/GTD only while CTMP remains a LMP2 headliner for the 3rd year.

Forgot to update, having a great time:

After 3 years of me begging they FINALLY sold me merch:

But otherwise, I’ve been camping, stalking the garages, and shooting cinematics all weekend.

Here’s one of the few clips I had time to export via 2010 era Bluetooth so you can hear the V12 scream:

Holy crap. This is my first IMSA weekend, and I'm already astounded by the level of access fans get in the paddock (my only point of reference is going to the Indycar opener in St. Pete). That is absolutely next-level. Great shots as well!

Haha nice meeting you!

Yeah, I’ve been told every IMSA round has this level of garage access in the base ticket, even at street tracks like Long Beach and Detroit. Having only done Daytona and Lone Star LM previously I was shocked Sebring had almost zero checkpoints even for the paddock area. Certainly easier to get lost here but WAAAYYYY easier to get in and out of the cool spots. Hope you can find your way to Daytona next year, very different vibe but still an immaculate fan experience!
