2024 Toyota #7 P6

'25 spec 1065 kg / 500 kw

2024 BMW #20 P7
1:30.600 1035 kg / 511 kw
'25 spec 1042 kg / 513 kw
Should improve, maybe?

The rest of last years Hyperpole cars 8 Toy, Porsche 12 & 99.

Cadillac goes from 1030/517 to 1041/510, Alpine stays at 1042 but gains 5 kw to 519.

I'll wait until after Hyperpole to see but something is off here I'm afraid.

Cadillac 12 in the wall going down the hill at Rivazza at the start of FP3 causing a red quickly followed by Ferrari 83 parking in the gravel at Piratella with gearbox failure.

Ferrari 1-2 in FP3 1.3 sec clear of Peug 94, Lexus leads GT3 with Ferrari and BMW within .422

Brilliant job by Ferrari 51 by winning pole by nearly 1 sec over BMW and also starting last (50) by not being able to keep the car 1 sec per lap faster than anybody else on the track for 12 min. :boggled:
BMW, Toyota, Alpine, Cadillac, and Peugeot are all close in BOP2 class

The Dr. puts the 46 BMW on pole, maybe now the Italians will notice and come fill the empty seats tomorrow.

I'm a little bit disappointed that ben keating and celia martin didn't make it into hyperpole/top ten in qualifying.

For me the highlight of the qualifying session was Robert Kubica (basically running a "new" car) and Clemens Schmidt. Schmidt was "disappointing" last year in DTM, but shines in the WEC and lexus with his performance. In todays hyperpole he was 3 tenths of a second faster than Rossis best time but ultimately lost the laptime due track limits abuse :D

The true show will be how quickly the #50 moves up the order like Verstappen in Brazil.

The Keating Corvette has +36 kg of success ballast which explains why it is off the pace.

Good start! I‘m surprised to see Porsche so far behind in the Hypercar class, considering how good they are in IMSA currently.

Btw for everyone located in Germany: We can stream the entire race at Sport1 online.

Iron Dames spinning out the Corvette 🤦‍♂️

There was a lot of banter during the race and after an incident Martin Haven roasted Graham Goodwin (something along the line of "this car looks like something Graham brought back" [after an accident or so]) and somebody in the background laughed their ass off (probably Davidson, I assume that the commentators sit in a "commentator" box and Davidson was the third commentator).

Most interviews were boring and there was nothing new. The most outstanding one was with Eduardo Freitas where he was smirking while explaining fcys, vsc, sc and red flasgs. During the interview with Jules Gounon there was an incident with a Toyota & Ferrari and you could hear the "schadenfreude" in Jules voice because the second alpine passed the involved cars :D

The coverage was a good mix in the beginning, In hour 3 the race turned into a hypercar parade (:D) and focussed on the toyota, ferrari and porsche on the front. The other hypercars were usually shown in replays after passing other hypercars or being involved in incidents. Rarely any coverage of the great sounding and naturally aspirated v12 of the valkyries... Even in the final stages the gt3 coverage was mediocre at best again. (I should probably watch onoard cameras of the cars that I like :D)

There were a lot of drivers who delivered outstanding performances off screen, Kelvin van der Linde for example served a stop and go after Rossi shoved a ferrari of the track and then raced from p10 to p2.
