Have done both 24 hour Nurburgring and Sarthe 2 for 200 points ( see Endurance thread ) and am currently doing Sarthe 1. Do I qualify for this elite club??? If so. list in post 1 needs updating.

I'm thinking about doing the great Nurburgring 24 Hr and have a few questions.
What, in your opinion, are the best tires? How many laps will they give me?
Would using a Mustang GT be a good idea? It has everything except for power modifications, and has a setup that im pretty happy with.

I did them with a race car. Nurburgring I used the BMW McLaren. And the others I honestly don't remember cause it was long ago.

OK! After an 8 month or so delay I finally updated the list! All new members should see their names on the list! Sorry to anyone that thought they didn't qualify, I became rather lazy around GTPlanet and didn't show up that often

I just finished my first completely A-Spec 24 Hour Race and wow was it a doozy.
Race: 24 Hours of Nurburgring
Car: '00 Lotus Esprit Sport 350
Mods: Racing Suspension, Racing Transmission, Racing Super Hard Tires, Wing
Laps Completed: 195
A-Spec Points: 142
Time: 5 days, average of 4 Hours and 48 mins per day
Best Lap: 7'07.35
Finishing Order:

Alfa Romeo 155 2.5 V6 TI '03

It was a grueling race, mostly because I did a terrible job of tuning my racing suspension. Lets just say I crashed A LOT. It was a very close race thanks to all my crashing, the Audi finished only 1'29 behind me. Some other highlights: I ran out of gas just before the mini-karousel around hour 12, which caused me to lose a 2 minute lead and fall behind the Audi by another 1'45. Around hour 15, a monsoon hit my area. It was pretty intense racing while I was listening to the thunder outside and seeing the lights in my room flicker. Im just glad (and lucky) my PS2 didnt lose power.
Now Im going to give myself and my PS2 a rest for a couple of days.

With my friends of the Board GTExD in two weekends
(one on may and one on June) we made the 24HR of Le Sarthe 1
and the 24HR of Nurburgring .
every 30 minutes by day and every 60 minutes by night we alternated in driving..

I did the 'ring three times in A-Spec. (I am trying to get all the colors of the FGT) Just finished a whole one (only took breaks to get mountain dew and snacks, no more than 5 min. apiece) about an hour ago and I wanted to put this in before I go to sleep for 13 hours 
have some good maybe I'll post more on the other two later...

Just did the Sarthe 2 Endurance race...ok here was the lineup (Pal Lineup 1 after console reset)
Nissan R89C Race Car - pits every 7 laps
Mazda 787B Race Car - pits every 9 laps
Sauber Mercedes C9 Race Car - pits every 8 laps
Minolta Toyota 88C-V Race Car - pits every 7 laps
Jaguar XJR-9 Race Car - pits every 8 laps
BMW McLaren F1 GTR '97 Race Car - Stock with an oil change and used RH/RSH combo - Pit Every 9 Laps (Same as Mazda 787B)
Race results... (200 A-Spec Points)
1st: BMW McLaren F1 GTR Race Car - 425 Laps completed
2nd: Mazda 787B Race Car -1 lap (To be precise about 1 and three quarter laps down)
3rd: Sauber Mercedes C9 Race Car -3 laps
4th: Minolta Toyota 88C-V Race Car -3 laps
5th: Nissan R89C Race Car - 4 Laps
6th: Jaguar XJR-9 Race Car -5 laps (Hitting the wall too many times as well spinning out of Porsche curves too many times. As well in three occasions to lap him...he goes too deep to unlap me and ends up spinning in the gravel...losing more time!)
Fastest Lap time: 3'12.911 (Laps 31 and 69)
Time to completion: 8 days (Three hours a day with breaks in between)
Tough at the beginning to stay with the Group C cars, but settled down and made good clean runs and made no big mistakes at all..a couple of running wides but not into the gravel (Many practices to keep it clean before attempting this). Had a little luck because most of the time + nearly every single lap all of the cars decided to do their bug thing on Sarthe and slam into the wall. If it did not happen it would have been a tighter race like the first time I did it with this car.
