SLS AMG 1,2,3 at the moment - I wonder if BMW will spoil that

Naah, the BMW have no chance to spoil the 3 Mercedes in front. They're too far back with only less than half an hour.... However, it's a really good show by the Mercedes.

Yeah that megane has been up the front the whole time fighting with the A6 Porsche's,
That last code 60 didn't do Jann any favours either, lost 2 minutes in the Integra :(

The Megane is fine. It's been running times even with the 370Z, the Megane has just had less problems. The Mustang and the Viper were flying. The Viper was running A6 times for a while.

I'm not sure 25th is in reach (unless they pit), but 26th certainly is. The VDS Mustang is just out of range now (again, unless they pit [they've just come out, so it's unlikely] or fail - but one more lap and it makes no difference).

Surprisingly, Edward Sandstrom is just under 12 seconds behind Andreas in the Mercedes. Uuuuhhh pretty tight!

Looks like he'll pass for 26th on his last lap :D

Edit: And has :D

Edit edit: And been repassed?

Edit edit edit: And then passed it again? Whut?

Edit edit edit edit: Confirmed 26th overall, 3rd in class - a gain of ten and one, despite an hour immobile for exploding brakes and no power.

I like the #100 and #120 coming across the line together. :P 3rd in class.

Now...the Mercedes SLS GT3 just swept the podium...Makes me wonder if they're gonna prepare a couple cars for the 24 Hours of LeMans....the first time Mercedes has been to LeMans since the SLR disaster.

Great Effort - Epic race.

Gosh darn, its like being on Oprah. You get a Trophy!!, You get a Trophy and You get a Trophy!!!

I do like the extra photo for the history making GT Academy team. Good job. And they were giving the Mustang a good run the whole time. BTW...Speaking of the Mustang, those guys started out in like 5th or 6th in class and made it to 2nd place. So...congrats all around in the SP2 class, I think.

He did attempt to make a pass at the final corner and spun out.

Aaah, it looked to be pretty close but lost it at the end. Well, 4th place ain't that bad afterall. Hopefully a better luck for them next year. Thanks for telling me ;)

Great race overall, first time I've checked out the Dubai 24hrs so it looked good. This GT3 catagory is really growing. Is this field pretty much the same one that'll be at the Nurb 24hrs also, in terms of categories etc? And did I hear somewhere that GT3 cars will be alongside the FIA GT1 cars this year on the grid?

And also thanks to you guys for the constant posting - I had to leave the race at 6pm last night to go out with friends, and staying at a friend's house overnight meant I couldn't get on a computer to catch the race or timing, so had to rely on everyone's posts on here to keep tabs on what was happening. Thanks folks

Congratulations to Abu Dhabi by Black Falcon team on the overall win.

Now a big congratulations to the RJN Motorsport team and the GT Academy drivers on making it to the end while also scoring a podium finish 👍. Also congratulations to Bernd Schneider on being 2nd and 3rd, he too has gone from virtual to reality ;).

The best performance for me was the Optimum Motorsport Ginetta G50. SP3 winner, first non A6 finisher and 14th overall. Not at all bad for a car who's fastest lap was 2:12:762.

The number 100 cars fastest lap was 2:12:245. That just shows what could have been had the 370Z had a clean run without the issues it had.

Am I the only one that doesn't like the Joker lap rule? Maybe its just me, but it comes off as once again manufactered racing. Why limit how fast people can go?
