Lucas is in the car now.

*edit*

Is it just me, or are they doing an awful lot of driver changes? Seem to only be in the car around 1-1.5hrs each.

They're running 1.5hr stints on average, which is about on par - they're just changing every pit stop like most. Jann ran very long, but an hour of that was the car being fixed.

Also, Lucas has come out and banged a 2'13.2 straight in, equalling the best of the other GT Academy drivers. I guess that extra 12 months counts for quite a bit, though Jann was pummelling high 2'13s regularly and consistently.

Edit: Oh, backed up with a 2'12.8... The dude's f-a-s-t...

So wait, RJN are running two cars? One GT4 Spec and one SP2? Are GT Academy Drivers in the 120 Car or are they shared between the two?

Indeed. Jann and Bryan are on the list for the 120 but are only being used for back-up if the 100 car falls.

Yes. And they're shared between the two. There are actually 3 cars on the team: two 370Zs and a GT-R. The GT-R is out, the #120 is running in SP3 and the #100 is running in SP2.

BTW, Lucas is currently fastest in class.

Only just started watching this, but I've just been informed that Aaron Scott, driver of the Viper, has lost 3rd gear and have to do a gearbox change - it's apparently going to cost them about 2 hours.

Thank you both for the information. 👍

RLM had an interview a little while ago in which the driver said they can only go for 2 hours at a time, and the fuel lasts around an hour 20, so they really can't double stint the drivers.

How did Bryan do with his lap times?

Bryan ran very consistent, solid 2'15-2'17 laptimes. I'm sure I've seen him in 2'14s as well, and he's been faster the darker it got!

The live broadcast feed has taken another break, and this time, they say that they won't be back up until "11:00 AM Local Time," which according to my calculations translates to somewhere past midnight in my time. That's arond an 8-hour break! That stinks; no more feed for us Westerners for the rest of the race unless we really stay up all night. :(

Hopefully there is more than just one feed, and that I'm getting this timezone thing wrong.

Gamer Team up to 3rd in class! (Ahead of the two pitted cars) And they're running fastest in class lap times, so they're catching 2nd and 1st!

EDIT: the Mustang just posted a 2.09.xxx.

For sure transponder? They were saying electrical issues, which sounds worse than a transponder.

Edit: Did timing and scoring stop working for anyone else?

The radio guys said Transponder. Also, the Corvette is back out.
And yes, the timing and scoring has stopped.

EDIT: The Megane is in the pits, as well. I hope the Nissan guys can get back out and pick up second.
