Guys I am going to drop out of the season effective as of now. Good Luck to All.

Sorry to hear that VDUB :( hope all is well as you are a great team mate 👍
On another note, I found out my modem was going bad last weekend hince why I couldn't stay connected :grumpy: My ISP has replaced the faulty unit and I should be good to go this weekend...............or at least till something else breaks

As I've said through PM, sorry to hear it DaddyVDUB and I really appreciated the help you've provided.

Now this leaves a couple of things that need filling in:
Nicksfix and thirteendog need to decide who gets Daddy's seat.
We need a new race organisor for the NTSC side, someone for hosting the races, overlooking any incidents and helping sorting out any arguments.

Anyone interested in helping me out organising NTSC races, please PM me.

Edit:
Ok, we have two new official race organisors!
Sumpington and HEMIata will now be hosting and moderating the races and keeping a check on any problems we have in the NTSC side of things. Thanks to both of them for offering to help

:( On sad note: it is sad to hear that VDub is dropping out of the Championship. Up to the Germany, he was guy I wanted to beat, since we were really close in points. Thanks for organizing a the NTSC Championship, hope to race with you soon.

:dopey: On a positive note:
I don't know if you all know but seems like there is a release date for the next F1 game designed by Codemasters. It will be release in October 2009. Assuming it is released Oct 1, there will be only 3 races remaining on the championship calendar, :yuck: I also read on another site, that the release date was pushed to 2010 :banghead:

Go ahead and give it to thirteendog. He's been wanting more and more seat time,so let him take the spot.Good luck "dog".Right now my focus has been set on playing MLB '09,trying to sharpen skills on this game before entering a league for online play.

Been hitting low 16s off-line. That's guessing the chicane with the ridiculous glare off the track.

Are you practicing in Time Trial mode? Why not use Grand Prix Weekend and the Friday Practice Sessions? Then you won't have the annoying low sun. 👍

I don't understand the point of practising offline at all for an online tournament. Surely the only way to be completely familiar with the race conditions is to race online. Just set up a game and do a mock race and away you go.

Because racing offline is good for memorising the track itself. Sometimes its much better just to get a good feel for the track first, then practice it in race conditions.

But online if you set it up yourself you can have the race track to yourself by setting it as password protected/invitation only and just make it a grid of 2 cars or whatever. That's what i've done before. May as well practice with the exact car you'll be using in the race, otherwise braking and turn-in points are always going to vary slightly to what you've practised offline. Oh yeah and it's sometimes important to run the full race length so you know what pitstop strategies you can and can't get away with online. For example, at Monaco I was able to do a 1 stopper, had I not practised I might not have been aware of that. Also, it's a good way of practising your outlaps on certain circuits for the all important fastest lap.

I think its better to practice like your gonna race, but i can see where others might prefer to practice off-line. You gotta do whats best for you.

Yes, switched to that when trying out the DFGT, had to turn of force feedback, it was practically knocking off the things I've got on the top shelf of the unit the wheel is on!

Shaggy, practising off-line was purely to get to know the track, I know some tracks vary from 06 to CE and I've not raced at Budapest on CE before.

Why don't you qualify? I've noticed you've haven't qualified the last two races.

LOOOOOOOOOL Because i dont want to get caught in crash at turn 1. Trust me i would really like to start up front but until i see a race start with no crash at turn 1 i guess i'll be ZEROCHICKEN1 instead of ZERODUCK1 LOOOOOOOOOL

I cringe going into turn one everytime, just waiting to get nailed in the rear lol. That's racing though. I get nervous approaching other cars, last week I came up on ranhammer and had one hell of a time getting around. At one time we touched wheels and I thought he had crashed. He didn't, it was a great exchange. I just wish he hadn't been a lap down.

Fun race though :D

I hate turn one as well. I was getting confident with it but after being hit at the last race I am going to be even more nervous and due to the position I am in in the championship. I really hope I can get a clean start and end with a clean race.

There might be an appearance of me this week, again, no promises, but the Hungaroring is one of my best tracks and an excellent place for blocking the hell out of people :P
I wonder if we can keep with the general tradition of this track always supplying a different winner each time?
Edit: Just looked back at the last championship, and well, of course we will have a different winner, unless a certain someone makes a surprise return to destroy us all again.

I reckon I might well be racing tonight, the fixtures on the clan don't seem to conflict with starting time for this.

Yay :)

If Fishfash does make an appearance then I reckon he will win. However, saying that Shaggy's times aren't far off of what Fishfash's were last time, so if he does race then there could be a little battle there.
Hopefully I can do well though, I really need to points to keep in front of Shaggy lol. :D

What clan is this, what game is it for?

I still think fishfash is a good half second faster per lap on average though on this track and he doesn't make mistakes like I do. If I spin and lose position then I'll be struggling to overtake anyone.

Yes, overtaking is annoying on this track, quite like Monaco and Hockenheim. Which is why pole position will be vital to insure you get a good start, however, saying that, turn one is always annoying and being nervous can cause you to brake a little earlier that usual and so you get punted up the rear.
I think it will be a tough race and could be similar to Montreal, as people do tend to get quite a few penalties here.
