There's a decent chance that when the bike hits you it won't have the rider. In terms of momentum transferred to a particular body panel, you probably don't get to count the rider with the bike. He's gonna hit a different body panel, or miss the car, or go through the window, or he was already off the bike. If the rider's momentum gets distributed to a different (even just a little different) part of the car, it's not really comparable to a more solid object (like another car) hitting that particular part of the car.

Stupid , just stupid ...

i don't wanna generalise but 99% chance it is a V.Rossi wannabe with a nr.46 on his bike thinking he can ride just as good .

Scary tought when realising just how many people he put in danger in the 1minute 57seconds the video lasted .

I was born and raised between motorcycles , and people like this give bikers a bad name ...
I would like to see this guy on a track tho , 99% chance he would get lapped twice in a 10 lap race ...

If you wanna see skill check stuff like this out

edit : i really need to figure out how to properly link youtube video's

Thankfully not all bikers are like that. Some are unsung heroes of motor safety, silent guardians, watchful protectors.

Well just heard on the radio somebody came forward and said they know who owns that bike. It's a 40 something year old woman that owns it, she has a 25 year old son. The son has a heafty list of speeding tickets and has racked up $1500 in speeding tickets on the bike already but they are all to the mom since she owns it.

They are trying to figure out how to charge him with something apparently.

Tesla
I don't believe he was a threat to people around him. If you have the balls to go 300 kph, then you most likely have the skills to back it up too. Of course, there's always a chance that it was just some kid who wanted to show off, but I'm doubting that.

Please oh Lord let this be sarcasm, I beg of you.

My initial thought was it was some guy who just got the news he had some incurable disease and wanted a way out... Hearing this though I hope they lock him up for a long time.

There is a massive problem though, they have no way to prove it. Sure it looks like his bike but what else is there? Why can't he just say I don't know whose bike that is but it does look a lot like my mom's bike?

If they figure out it was his computer that uploaded the video all he has to say is that he had only uploaded it because he thought it was cool and he found it on some weird site on the Internet.

It's unfortunate but I don't think he will see so much as a ticket for this stunt which will only make him want to do it again.

If he is stupid enough to put it on YouTube I wouldn't be shocked to learn it was still on the original camera.

Then again, if it hits you square on at the B-pillar...

Yep.
1. French car, especially the older ones weren't very sturdy in crashs. Seen numberous deaths in 206/207 with not so hefty speed, but still resulting in casulties.

2. Physics: The bike weights less, ok, but the point of impact has also a smaller surface, making the applying force on one small portion of the car, which generally are not designed to withstand a hefty motorcycle side impact.

And Danoff might be right with his 9/10 times. But you still don't control the odds. If you hit the 1/10 you can't do anything against it.

On the vid, if he would just have hit the side mirror of one car it would have been no good ending.
And I personally witnessed an accident like that.
THe car behind me was hit on the side mirror by a bike which was way to fast in a corner, the bike shot in another car behind, propelled the biker in the air, ripping of a leg. I nearly puked if it wouldn't have been for the adrenaline. (the guy survived with his limb reconstructed)

Nasty pic

That wouldn't be the kind of impact you get on the freeway, unless something else horrible were already going on, but it's what I was talking about when I mentioned bikes running red lights.

CBC reports that they're certain they have the guy, not just circumstantially. They have the IP it was uploaded from, they have the bike, and if I understand it correctly, if they have the bike and he doesn't prove it wasn't him, i.e. rats out a buddy or proves it was stolen, then it was him by law.

Seem to be a fair lack of respect for traffic law in that household.

This reminds me of the Ghost Rider... Who remembers him on his 500HP Turbo Hayabusa?

Here's the clip to refresh your memories... Massive wheelie action at 300+ KPH

^my favorite scene of Ghostrider is the one where he is on the "police" bike and pursue the Z3 from his friend.
The drifts in the Z3M are simply stunning

.. and nevertheless irresponsible, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy simply watching them

It's just so awesome to see the Ghostrider videos. That guy has some serious skills.

^That's awesome, is there a full video of this?

There's a video, but can't remember if I saw it on Youtube or Dailymotion.
I believe it was one of those vids where someone commutes to work and talks about a motorcycle topic.
