-> I too, picked OTHER to go alongside with my beloved S2K:

2006 Pontiac GTO 6.0/Vauxhall VXR500/Holden Monaro:

*Specific color, 6M/T*

^ For a little spare change, I could add a supercharger. :scared:

-> But the GenCoupe (2.0T) would be a close second. I wouldn't bother looking the Camaro LS (V6), I'll skip to the SS (just because it is made in Aussieland). :sly:

My ranking:
1. [VT] GTO 6.0 - Balance of hoonage and cruising.
2. GenCoupe 2.0T - Very high potential factor.
3. [E46] M3 - 2nd best car I've driven (next to S2K).
4. [5G] Camaro SS - Just because its from Aussieland (based from my experience w/ the GTO).
5. [E46] 330Ci M-Sport - If M3 is too expensive.
6. [V35] G35 S - If BMW's are too expensive.
7. GenCoupe 3.8 - Might be too refined for me.
8. [S197v2] Mustang GT - It's V8 compares with a lot of V6's.
9. [Z34] 370Z - I already have a 2-seater.
10. [5G] Challenger R/T - Tight inside, a barrage of bulk outside.

You're adding a LOT of "opponents" now when you bring in the used market. If that is/was the case, I'd have to re-select Other, and go with a used NSX.

^ What are you implying me for!? I didn't started this used car alternatives here. I'm just saying my alternatives, not going out of topic. Why start with me!? :grumpy:

Bringing in any used or modded machines into any discussion of current offerings really does mess up the whole point of a comparo anyway. Far too many variables come into play when that happens, and you can also bring in miraculous deals that way and go on touting how car X that cost $70,000 new three years ago is better than anything new that costs $40,000 today.

Then who did? I didn't see anyone bringing in the used market at all until you brought up the GTO, E46 M3 & 330Ci, & G35 which are all used cars now.

^ It's not entirely my fault, I'm just some perpective from the past posters who used used cars in the fray

-> May I give some examples:

None of the above.

^ That is not an '09 RX-8 R3. :indiff:

Other: A second-hand Porsche 993 👍

^ And that is not a 997 either.:indiff:

-> Before you jump into conclusions that I ruined the whole thread. Read the whole thread first. 👎

It may not be an '09, but are you sure Sage didn't mean he would just rather have the new RX-8?
^ And that is not a 997 either.:indiff:
Fair point.

Woah, you need to calm down, buddy. I never said you ruined the whole thread. I just said you're bringing in a lot of opponents by mentioning used cars now. And I've already given you a fair point for home's choice of a 993.

So, chillax man. 💡

And in a major afterthought, once I read Sage's post, I realized that I completely forgot the RX-8. My apologies to Mazda fans, I tend to forget the car frequently. I blame the MX-5.

Well, if we're talking used, I think for $30,000 I could take this...

and stuff it into one of these, which can be had cheap...

The latter especially, using a 4-cylinder model.

But, that's just me being silly.

As long as the XJ6's don't have to have original engines then no problem.

The NSX is the only coupe on your list. Not to mention, those are all Halo cars.

I voted for the 370Z, based on the speculation that it does everything well. I am giving serious thought to snagging a late model 350Z, based on the fact it does everything well, and dealers are desperate to clear them (08's). I shall have to change my name, pity...

One thing I'm surprised Brad didn't add to the thread was the Solstice Coupe, which also goes on sale this year.

I suppose it would have been a reasonable addition, but I guess I really don't consider it a halfway decent one. Its got the gusto I suppose, but the top is a bit too complicated to make it a decent coupe idea.
