I noticed last night that the 370Z (GT Academy) '08 we got as a gift last week has more PP than the one you can buy in the Dealership. (with same power and weight)

Anyone got an explanation as to why that is? (the other cars so far are exactly equal to their NCD counterparts)

I have noticed the same thing with some cars. Two examples of the same model, with the same weight and power, sometimes have different PP. I know that torque is also factored into the PP equation, and I suspect that handling performance, braking power, weight bias, etc are also considered. So maybe the GT Academy 370z has more torque, or same torque at lower RPM, or better suspension, or something different. Check the front/rear weight bias between the two Zs you are comparing. And check the peak RPMS for power and torque. Also check the mileage on the Zs -- one may be broken in while the other is worn out, or one may be brand new while the other is broken in... but that would probably be reflected in the power output wouldn't it... so nevermind that. Hope this helps.

It probably has to do with torque as was said above. Take a look at the two power curves and see if they are the same. Also, downforce is a possibility
