Ran a few Daily B's on the main account DR: B.
Race 1 was fairly chill. Started near the back and finished 6th, but was getting a little annoyed at how unresponsive braking can feel now, following the last few physics rejigs. I know it's intended to make it more "realistic", making brake finesse rather than stomping all the more important, but I'm finding it far too easy to lock up the brakes on controller now, or not apply them hard enough and overshoot. The result of this is I tend to brake earlier and lighter, just to be rear-ended by whoever is behind me.
Race 2 was a tragedy. I stayed near the back of the pack to try to figure out brake markers, see where others brake etc, and passed some twonk in a Genesis that had wiped themselves out on the Chicane of Death. The next lap featured the twonk trying their best to dive at every "opening" aka don't brake, aim for the apex and hit me as I'm already there. Twonk was obviously really enthusiastic about not finishing last, as at the Death Chicane on the final lap they carried just enough over speed, I assume from my slipstream, to nudge my rear left quarter just as I started to turn in, sending me hard in to the barrier, because trying to force side-by-side through the Chicane is SmRt RaCiNg. A firm reminder of why I steered away from online racing.
